- As Sonya Blade is watching the action in the background, Jax is fighting off a wave of vicious Tarkatan warriors led by Baraka. Finally, when the odds seem overwhelming, Jax is forced to use one of his Fatalities where he grows to giant size and crushes every last creature in the area. Sonya, obviously, is stunned over what she saw and starts demanding answers from her superior. Jax finally can't keep his secret and reveals the truth. It seems while getting his arms bionically enhanced, it gave him enhanced mind control over his own body and he eventually learned how to control his own growth spurt. Despite repeatedly warning her of the serious risks involved with the process, Sonya heads back to Special Forces headquarters where she forces the surgeons there to perform the same exact operation on her, minus the bionic arms. Eventually, Sonya gains the power to grow as well and she hopes she can use her newfound power to put a stop to Shao Kahn's invasion of Earthrealm... Completed May 11, 2007.

- After the events of the Outworld Mortal Kombat tournament in which Kintaro was defeated and the defenders of Earthrealm succeeded in escaping the wrath of Shao Kahn, the Outworld emperor carries forward his plan to use Sindel, former queen of Edenia to initiate his invasion of Earth. Mileena, marked for execution because of her failure to stop Kitana escaping to Earth, and Sheeva, Kahn's last Shokan general, decide to co-operate in an effort to destroy the powerful emperor. There are many legends of Earth, legends that have even reached the ears of Outworld's inhabitants, of a great power that resides there, possibly Shao Kahn's entire reason for so desperately wanting to conquer the realm. Using dark magic learned from Onaga, she greatly enhances the amulet's capabilities. The catch is, however, that the powers must be activated with powers from other Edenian people. Tanya seeks out Jade, the one she hates the most, to activate the enhanced powers of Blaze's amulet... Completed November 19, 2010.
