A Tale of Two Mikus

Chapter 1, written by Cubed Cinder

Hatsune Miku, dressed up in her familiar Vocaloid outfit, stared at the loving audience and listened to them cheering wildly for her. As the music cranked back up again, Miku smiled.
"Ahhhh... there's no way you all can resist my last song for the evening! Here goes!" Miku said as she put her mouth up to the microphone and began singing.
Don't know Hatsune Miku? Where have you been!? Anyway, Hatsune Miku was part of a huge group of popular singers known collectively as Vocaloid. After their first song, Nico Nico Douga, was a massive hit, they've made a countless number of songs and music videos ever since. Although there were many different male and female singers such as Meiko (Miku's closest friend), Kaito, Leon, and Sonika, Miku was the most well known and most popular of the group. But the great thing about Vocaloid is that all the members respected each other, and didn't sing or make videos for fortune and fame. They only do it for the love of the song.
And fame certainly was part of Hatsune Miku’s game. The girl finished her song and started to walk off stage, inviting everyone to join her at her next tour, only for people left and right to run up to her and try to get her autograph. While she did sign a few autographs, she ran hard trying to get away from the big crowd.
“Wow... I wonder if Hollywood is always like this!” Miku shouted.

Meanwhile, watching from an adjacent rooftop as Miku sprinted her way down the streets was a human being dressed up from head to toe in a black robe. The human, whose face could just be seen as a female's, pulled the binoculars away from her eyes and then held a cell phone up to her ear. She pressed a button.
"I have her in my sights, vice president. Yes, it is her. Don't worry, I'll do what I have to do if she says no. And you best be prepared too." the woman said. The lady then turned around and ran away from the rooftop edge.

For the next few minutes, Hatsune Miku was not having much luck in eluding half of the crowd. It didn't help matters that the roads and streets were very busy, and they were cluttered with many people all trying to cross these roadways as well.
"Wow... it's so crowded! There's so many people!" Miku said. While walking slowly with the crowd (with some people giving her funny looks as they had no clue she was donned in her Vocaloid outfit), she noticed an alleyway which was only lit by the fading sun above everyone's head.
"I know, I'll take a shortcut!" Miku shouted happily as she walked into the alley.

She first ran through the narrow passageway, but slowed to a walk as she looked around the scenery and breathed a sigh of relief, especially as she saw that previously mentioned group of rowdy fans running past the alley.
"Wow... what a truly fascinating and little known part of the city. Maybe I can use this for a dark and scary video!" Miku said. The next thing to happen took her by surprise, almost. As she approached the end of the alleyway, she suddenly felt herself crashing into something. After recovering her balance, she looked to see it was another person she bumped into, one covered in a black robe.
"Oh! Gomennesai! I didn't see you..." Miku said.
"Don't worry about it. I was hoping I'd run into you, actually." the woman said.
"You were? Wait, don't tell me you want my autograph too! I already did a hundred signings this morning!" Miku shouted.
"An autograph is not what I seek. In fact, allow me to properly introduce myself." the woman said.
The woman finally ditched her black robe, completely revealing herself to Miku. Miku gasped when she saw who she was looking at.
"I... am Hatsune Miku." Miku... or rather, the Evil Miku said. Yes, this was an evil version of our beloved Hatsune Miku. How she was created or where she came from is a total mystery, especially to Miku as she had never even heard of having an evil clone. She hadn't even been to a science lab... well, except for an abandoned one during one of her music videos.

Evil Miku had quite the different wardrobe than regular good ol' Miku. While both girls had emeraldish colored hair and long black boots, Evil Miku sported a dark blue business suit and red tie. But most importantly, no easily visible gadgets like the electronic gloves that the regular Miku wore.
But Miku quickly jumped onto the defensive.
"Wait, no! I'm Hatsune Miku!" Miku shouted.
"Maybe so, but I am the real Hatsune Miku." Evil Miku said calmly.
"NO! I'm the real Hatsune Miku!" Miku shouted.
"No, I am." Evil Miku said.
"I AM I AM I AM I AM I AM I AM I AM I AM I AM I AM I AM I AM I AM I AM I AM I AM I AM I AM I AM I AM I AM I AM I AM I AM I AM I AM!!!!!!" Miku squealed loudly, going into chibi form and waving that little green stick that she usually wields whenever she's fired up.
"Pffft... what difference does it make? Let's just say we are both named Hatsune Miku. And besides, as director of the Advanced Sciences Society, I'd like to discuss something with you." Evil Miku said.
"And what would that be?" Miku said.
"I've been watching your every move for the past week, especially today. Don't you find it frustrating?" Evil Miku said.
"Huh? What's frustrating?" Miku said.
"That the world doesn't take notice of you? That they don't move aside when you ask them to? Especially those cursed fans of yours. Chasing you like that all over town like you're their stupid child!" Evil Miku said.
"Oooooookay..." Miku said, scratching her head and wondering what the other Miku was getting at.
"Soon. Very soon... the populus of the world will be nothing but toys at our feet, and those deemed worthy will be the dominant goddesses of this world." Evil Miku said. Miku stared at her evil self for a few seconds, and then just burst into laughter.
"Hahahahahaha!!! Gosh, no offense but you'd make a nice script writer for a B-movie... especially given the way you dress." Miku said. Miku had tried to walk past Evil Miku, but her path was blocked as the evil one stepped in her path.

"Think what you will, but I know it is in the back of your mind. Join me, Hatsune Miku, and stand by my side once I've shrunken all the men to almost nothing." Evil Miku said with a smile.
"Um... that's very kind of you, but I must decline. Besides, not all men are bad! I mean, I have good friends who are guys! And... well... I prefer to use the green screen in the studio if I'm going to shrink someone." Miku said with a rather innocent smile. But Evil Miku smiled right back, having a more devilish look on her face.
"I knew you would say that... right down to that cute smile of yours." Evil Miku said.
"Wait, what?" Miku asked. At that point, Evil Miku reached into one of the pockets on her suit and pulled out what looked like an ordinary click pen.
"Perhaps a demonstration of my power will convince you of how serious I am of my dream coming true." Evil Miku said.
"Well, perhaps we can talk about..." Miku said, but before she could finish, Evil Miku pressed the button on the pen, and it let out a bright light that almost blinded Miku.
"Ack!!!" Miku shouted as she quickly shielded her eyes.

And that's when Hatsune Miku began to shrink. Evil Miku smiled as she watched the girl get reduced in size, seemingly shrinking out of existence. But Evil Miku knew exactly why she almost couldn’t be seen even as she walked up to where Miku once stood.

By the time Miku felt the light dissipate, she opened her eyes. Instead of looking at Evil Miku in the eyes, she was looking at a large black wall, which she quickly realized to be Evil Miku's boots as her eyes went upward.
"Eeps!" Miku shouted as she quickly added everything up and realized she had just been shrunken. She turned around and tried to run away, but only took a few steps before she felt herself being picked up by the Evil Miku. Evil Miku held the tiny Miku between two fingers up to her face, showing a somewhat disappointed look on her face.
"I'm rather upset that I had to use my prototype to shrink you, a charming woman of all people. But you had left me no choice. Oh well. I have some associates that have always wanted to meet you." Evil Miku said.
"Um... you don't suppose we can talk about this? With me at a more normal size perhaps!?" Miku said as she twiddled her fingers nervously, hoping Evil Miku wouldn't hurt her.
"Enough. It's time I returned to headquarters with my prize... and to further develop my ultimate plan." Evil Miku said. She then put her shrinking pen back into one of her pockets, and she threw the 3/4-inch-tall Miku in with it.
"Help me!!" Miku shouted helplessly. Suddenly, everything was almost dark, with the only light coming from the outside world above.

Evil Miku, as she walked back into the crowded streets, pulled out her cell phone.
"It's me. As I suspected, she didn't want to go with our plan. Yes, it's been taken care of. I'm on my way back now." Evil Miku said.

At Yabaize High School, Evil Miku entered one of the rooms where she saw the green-haired assistant Erika and the red-haired vice director... whose name I cannot reveal or co-writer Luminar's bad luck will increase tenfold. They also wore a dark blue business suit much like Evil Miku, but the vice president had black socks running just below her knees, and Erika wore white socks of the same length.
"Did you get her? I wanna see! I wanna see!!" Erika shouted.
"Keep a grip on yourself, Erika. Show some dignity in front of the boss." the vice director said.
"Erika's excitement is understandable, vice director, so don't worry. But the wait is over." Evil Miku said. She then reached into her pocket and pulled out the shrunken Miku. Both of the other girls (Erika in particular) were excited to see such a tiny figure in Evil Miku's hand. The tiny Miku was out cold right now.
"Awww... look how adorable she is being that small." Erika said.
"So the final prototype was a success?" the vice director asked.
"Yes. Now we can begin construction on the ultimate weapon. It's only a matter of time before our world becomes less cluttered as others meet a fate like this." Evil Miku said.

Finally, no doubt as a result of all the loud voices around her, Miku slowly woke up and gasped when she saw two more giantesses looking down on her.
"Hi there, Hatsune Miku the Vocaloid! You're a part of our family now!" Erika said.
"Ehhehheh... okay, joke’s over! Somebody pinch me, this has to be a bad dream!" Miku said.
"You two can sit tight and play with your new toy for now. I gotta check up on that nosey boy and his goofy hat-wearing girlfriend." Evil Miku said as she handed the tiny Miku to the vice director.
"As you wish, Miku." the vice director said. Evil Miku nodded and then turned around to head to another part of her fortress.
"Well, come on, Mrs. vice director! Let's not keep the star of our show waiting!" Erika said. The vice director had a very unamused look on her face.
"Do NOT try and boss me around." the vice director said.
"Okay, sorry... sorry." Erika said as the two walked into another room.

Inside this room, after the lights were flipped on, there was nothing but a couple tables and a few boxes. But most important is what was on top of some of this furniture. There were a few other shrunken people, all men in fact, who were just sitting around and adjusting their eyes to the light that had returned to the room.
"Rise and shine, our little group. You have a new guest." the vice director said.
"Everyone give it up for the star of our little show, Hatsune Miku!" Erika said. The vice director walked right up to the table in the middle of the room and dropped the shrunken Miku on this table.
"Ouch!" Miku shouted.

Miku had landed on her behind and was rubbing it accordingly. She looked back at the other shrunken victims.
"Great... another shrunken victim." the man known as Kaoru said. Miku helped herself to her feet and looked at the man who was also three quarters of an inch tall.
"Let me guess, you want my autograph too?" Miku said.
"Well, no. I don’t even know who you are." Kaoru said.
"Oh man... they got Miku too." Utamuro said. Two more random Japanese men, Isei and Shuncho (who looked like twins), joined in the party.
“THE Hatsune Miku? I can’t believe it!” Isei said.
“I get to meet the world famous Vocaloid in person...” Shuncho said. Miku kinda rolled her eyes, wondering what kind of an adventure this was going to turn out to be.
"Hmmhmm... wow! Don't they look cute together, Mrs. vice director!?" Erika said, her voice booming from above.
"Yes, and now that the teeny tiny world famous Vocaloid is among them, we shall begin our fun and games." the vice director said, showing a smirk on her face. Miku and the four men in the immediate area could only wonder what the evil giantesses were planning.

Chapter 2, written by Luminar

As Miku and the Four Shrunken men were being held captive, Chijinda, the Detective that the high school principle called for to solve the case of missing people, had fallen victim to the Shrinking Process of the A.S.S with his ally's, Kyon and Shamisen the cat. The three of them were currently shrunk down to 2 cm in size such as all the other shrunken people and were running along the path's in the sewer system after Narrowly escaping a Foul Perdicament.

Kyon: are you sure this is the way out of here Chijinda?

Chijinda: in all honesty, i have no idea. what i do know is that unless we get out of here and find a way to get contact of the normal size world, those crazy chick's are gonna get away with their plan.

Kyon: i'd really hate to be stuck like this forever. i can only imagine the torture Haruhi would put me through if she found me like this.

Chijinda: well thankfully we still have my Assistant, Narue. if we can get to her, then we might stand a chance of solving this case and keep more people from getting shrunk.

Kyon: let's hope your right about that.

Shamisen: Meow.

Once the two of them had turned another corner, they had soon encountered a large Sewer Rat that was preventing them from going further on ahead and escaping from the Sewer.

Chijinda: not another Rat. we're getting through no matter what! let's do it Kyon!

Kyon: right.

The two of them pulled out the Poison Needle's they had obtained before and charged at the Rat with Shamisen right behind them to aid the two in the fight against the Giant (to them) Sewer Rat.

Back Topside, Miku and the Four Shrunken men gulped some as Erika and the Vice Director were smiling down at them. Erika's expression was more that of a airheaded and playful one like she was a kid with a new toy. But the Vice Director's Expression was that of one with a look of pure mischief.

Erika: can we play with them now VD? they are so cute like dolls.

Vice-Director: sure Erika. why not. i know a perfect game that we can play with them.

Erika: really!? what is it?

Vice-Director: An American Game. it's called Twister. but there will be a small difference. no pun intended.

The Victim's huddled together some and gulped as they were looking up at the two girls in fear wondering what was planned out for them as the Vice-Director reached out to them and grabbed all of them. After a few moment's, the Vice-Director had placed them on the floor with a smirk on her face as the floor under them resembled that of a twister Mat.

Vice-Director: This game is gonna be called, Twist and run. Me and Erika will be putting our feet down on whatever color light's up while you puny runts try to stay alive and avoid our feet. If you end up where out feet are gonna land, let's just say that it's gonna be a bit messy. Don't think about trying to escape either. all the Exit's are sealed off and I am the only one with the Key's to get out.

Erika: this is gonna be like, so much fun. i can't wait to get started and moving my groove thing.

At that moment, the Vice-Director pushed a button and the game began as the spot's on the floor began to light up randomly.

A Blue one lit up that was near Miku as she had noticed it and then looked up after a Shadow had covered her to see that it was Erika's foot coming down at her. Miku roll's to the side with a scared expression on her face as she just barely dodged the giant foot that had slammed down on the Blue spot.

A Yellow one lit up near Shuncho and Isei causing the two of them to quickly look up as the Vice-Director was bringing her foot down fast at them. The two Shrunken men ran as fast as they could and were able to escape being crushed flat as the Vice-Director's foot slammed down on the Yellow spot.

Vice-Director: shoot! i missed them. oh well, the game has just begun.

A Green one lit up near Kaoru as he soon noticed Erika's foot coming down near him quickly. Kaoru had shocked expression on his face from barely avoiding her foot. He turned around quickly and soon ran to the side to avoid her foot as it came crashing down on the Green spot.

A Red spot lit up where Miku was as she looked up and yelled some with her twin tail's pointing upwards from being so scared as both the Vice-Director and Erika were bringing their feet down at her. Miku Scampered up as fast as she could and began to run. But both the girl's Feet came down faster then she could get away.

Erika: we got one!

Kaoru, Isei, Shuncho, and Utamuro: NO! MIKU!

Vice-Director: That'll show you.

At that moment, from between both girls Feet, Miku popped up with a silly smile and expression on her face as she was lucky enough to have fallen when they brough their feet down and get between the feet despite how close they were.

Miku: eheh heh.

Vice-Director: you got to be kidding me!

Erika: like wow. she's got some good luck or something.

Utamuro: that was too close.

Isei: i thought my heart was gonna stop for a moment there.

The VD's game countined on for another 10 minutes as the shrunken Vocaloid and the shrunken men had managed to dodge the fast stomping feet of Erika and the VD but once the game had finished, all of them were huddled together and panting some as they were sitting down trying to catch their breath.

Vice-Director: awwww. what's wrong? are you all out of breath? too bad as we're going into sudden overtime!

This caught all 5 of them by surprise as one of the Blue light's lit up where they were at and soon the VD soon brought her foot down quickly but not all of them could avoid it in time as Utamuro and Kaoru pushed the other's out of the way as Her foot came crashing down on them crushing them flat under the sole of her foot with two loud (to Miku, Isei, and Shuncho) crunching sound's came from.

Erika: Like, look's like you got two of them VD and they made such a tiny crunching sound too!

VD: I guess you could say i have the fastest foot in the west.

Erika: AHAHAHAHAHAHA! that is like, so funny!

VD: now for the last three.

Miku: n-no. they didn't make it in time.

Shuncho and Isei looked at each other and nodded as they soon looked at Miku.

Shuncho: sorry Miku but it look's like you are gonna have to be the only one to escape from here.

Miku: WHAT!?

Isei: We're not gonna be able to escape but we can make them keep their focus on us while you get out. The World can't afford to lose the famous singer Miku Hatsune.

Miku: B-B-But.......

Isei soon run's forward as he step's on a green spot with it glowing as Erika see's him and has a cute expression on her face as she notice's him and lift's her foot up some.

Erika: Like, this one is mine VD.

Isei waved his hand behind him as Shuncho began to run as fast as he could while holding Miku's hand dragging her along. He look's up one last time as the last thing he see's is Erika's foot coming down crashing on him crushing him into nothing.

The Two of them Wince some after hearing the foot crashing down on him. Shuncho knew that they were close to the exit but also knew Erika and the Vice Director would get to them in no time.

Shuncho: Go Miku! i'll distract them!

Miku wanted to say something but she nodded and ran to a hole in the wall that was nearby as she knew that if she didn't escape, the guy's sacrifice's would be for nothing. Shuncho looked down and saw he was on a large yellow spot on the Twister board and looked up as Both Erika and the Vice Director soon brought their feet down upon him crushing him with their feet as Erika crushed his bottom half and the VD crushed his top half.

The two of them moved their feet as Erika had a playful smile on her face while the Vice-director had a look of accomplishment on her face.

Vice-Director: That felt very Refreshing. Wouldn't you Agree Erika-chan?

Erika: Like, it was the best workout i ever had. How many did you get VD?

Vice-Director: I crushed two and i know we both crushed one of them together.

Erika: Yeah! All i managed to get was just one but it was such a blast. We got Four of them in one go!

Vice-Director: You would be correct about that Erika-Chan.

After she had said that, The VD got a curious expression on her face and then looked back at Erika for a moment trying to figure out something.

Vice-Director: .............Wait, Four?

Erika: Yeah. That's how many we got. We crushed all the Tiny guy's after all.

The Vice-Director soon put Everything together as she had a angry and shocked expression on her face.

Vice-Director: THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN FIVE OF THEM! WHERE'S THAT INFERIOR MIKU HATSUNE!?

Erika: Ooooooooh. Now that you mention it, like, i haven't seen her in a while. not since she avoided being crushed.

Vice-Director: WE NEED TO FIND HER NOW! IF THE DIRECTOR FINDS OUT ABOUT THIS THEN SHE WILL HAVE OUR HEADS FOR LETTING THAT CLUELESS AND AIRHEADED IDIOT ESCAPE!

As the Two of them quickly left the room to go looking for Miku, She had already made it into the hole in the wall and was running down it as quickly as she could while panting some as she was still tired from dodging both their feet from the game.

Miku: I-I-I-I-I hope i find someone who can help me but who?

After running for a few moment's but what seemed like forever to her, Miku came out the side of the school building and continued running as she tried to figure out where she was at But soon crashed into something or more like, Someone.

Who She had crashed into was the famous detective, Chijinda and his allies Kyon and Shamisen. Miku and Chijinda both fell onto their rear's as Chijinda rubbed his head some while Miku had spiral's in her eyes. She soon shook her head some and looked at the Three of them.

Miku: ..................

Chijinda: Was not expecting to crash into someone else.

Kyon: Hey, i think i know who that is.

Chijinda: yeah. if i'm not mistaken, she's the famous singer, Miku Hatsune! What in the seven hell's is she doing here and shrunk!?

Miku soon got up and ran over to Chijinda as she tackled him down in the form of a hug and had a teary expression on her face.

Miku: THANK GOODNESS I FOUND SOMEONE ELSE! I THOUGHT I WAS STUCK HERE ALONE AND ALL TINY AND DOOMED AND........

Chijinda: C-Calm down Ms.Hatsune! First, can you let me go so i can get up and then explain to me everything that happened.

She nodded some and soon got up off Chijinda as Kyon looked at him for a moment with a flat expression on his face that screamed out, "Chijinda you lucky bastard".

Miku: *sniff* *sniff* p-please, call me Miku.

Chijnda: Alright then, Miku, Tell me what happened to you and why your here.

Miku Had sat up some with her leg's under her as she had soon begun her long explanation to Chijinda and Kyon about what had happened to her through the course of the day.

Chapter 3, written by Cubed Cinder

Chijinda and Kyon, along with the cat Shamisen, sat on the ground listening very carefully to the story by Hatsune Miku. Miku didn't leave any detail out, telling Chijinda exactly what led to her being shrunken, including how the director that shrunk her in the first place looked almost exactly like her.
"And that's the whole story. Then I ran into you guys." Miku said.
"Damn those bitches! Shrinking even the legendary Hatsune Miku... hell, even the director looks like you, you say. That's just low, man!" Kyon said.
"Okay, Kyon, calm down. The director is definitely as evil as, if not more than, those other two girls, Erika and the vice director. You're lucky to have escaped those two like I did." Chijinda said. Miku smiled.
"Hehe, we'll, I guess that's what happens when you've made a lot of crazy music videos." Miku said.
"So what do we do now? How are we going to grow back to normal?" Kyon asked.
"First we gotta get to Narue. We can't do much of anything being this incredibly small." Chijinda said.
"Narue? Who is that?" Miku asked.
"My longtime assistant. She's the best... surely she can help us." Chijinda said.
"Um... Just one problem, Mr. Super Smart Detective. Narue is somewhere inside the school, and those girls are probably still tearing the place up looking for us." Kyon said.
"(sigh) I know. I didn't say this would be easy. We'll all have to stay alert not just for them, but anything else that comes our way. Snakes, birds, bugs... They're all big enough to make us look like dinner to them." Chijinda said.
"Gulp... that doesn't sound very pleasant." Miku said.
"Don't worry, Miku. We'll make sure you're safe. I mean... I'm saving up to buy your next CD!" Kyon said.
"Come on. We'll take another entrance into the school." Chijinda said. He and his party got up and started moving on their way in search of another secret passageway into the school, one where they would elude the evil giantesses looking for them.

A few minutes later, as they were walking down the lonely path, the group suddenly felt the ground rumble a little bit.
"Whoa, hey, what's that rumbling?" Kyon said.
"It feels like it's coming from up ahead." Chijinda said. Just then, everyone looked to see four incredibly massive girls jogging their way, all wearing Track Team outfits.
"Eeeeeek!" Miku screamed as she pointed up at the fast approaching giantesses.
"DODGE!!" Chijinda shouted as he and the other heroes all scampered to the right, just avoiding being crushed underneath the shoes of the giant girls. They all took deep breaths as they watched them march off in the distance.
"Whew... talk about the trampling thunder of the gods. Are you alright, Chijinda? Chijinda?" Kyon said. He then looked over and noticed Chijinda was in a deep stare with a worried look on his face.
"Huh? It's like he's in a trance or something like that." Miku said.
"Oh man... Not now, Chijinda. Come on, snap out of it!" Kyon said as he suddenly gave a big slap to Chijinda's face.
"OW! What in the seven Hells!?" Chijinda said.
"Welcome back, Chijinda. How quick was that death?" Kyon said.
"Ugh... I'm sorry, Kyon. I'm doing my best." Chijinda said.
"What was that about?" Miku asked.
"You’ll have to excuse my friend. He gets these nightmarish visions of him getting crushed or eaten or whatever by the giant girl he lays eyes on.” Kyon said.
“Yeah, he’s right. It has to be a side effect of being this small. I can’t seem to break that trance once it shows up.” Chijinda said.
“Well, I wouldn’t blame you, to be honest. It’s scaring me to think what Meiko looks like from down here...” Miku said.
“Oooookay, don’t you start too! We gotta stay focused!” Kyon shouted.
“He’s right. Come on, let’s keep going.” Chijinda said.

As the heroes continued their journey around the massive school, they were now walking in the swimming pool area. Kyon couldn’t resist looking at the girls both in and out of the water wearing the blue swimsuits.
“(whistle) I always did have a thing for Girl’s Swim Clubs.” Kyon said.
“And you’ll probably have a face full of them if we’re not careful.” Chijinda said. Miku couldn’t help but be fascinated by the sheer size of the pool, especially as a wave (normally very small but naturally looking very large to she and the others) came crashing towards the edge.
“What a magnificent looking pool! Maybe I can do my next aquatic video from here.” Miku said. But even when being careful with the giantesses around them, one brunette with her hair tied in a pony tail still caught sight of the group.
“Eeek! Gross! I almost stepped on these bugs!” the girl shouted.
“Bugs!? Where? Where!?” Miku said.
“I believe she was referring to us.” Kyon said.
“Oh... right.” Miku said. Everyone watched as the girl raised one of her bare feet (luckily not dripping with water) high in the air. Chijinda once again was frozen on the spot as he noticed the incredible size of this girl.
“Oh my...” Chijinda said.
“DAMMIT CHIJINDA, RUN!!!!!” Kyon shouted as he and Miku grabbed Chijinda by the arms and scrambled just as the girl slammed her foot down. She had slammed it so hard it caused all our heroes (with Shamisen riding Kyon’s head now) to jump up into the air. But they quickly recovered, especially since the girl was getting ready to make another stomp. This game of cat and mouse went on for almost a minute, with our tiny heroes just barely able to avoid the giant girl’s stomp every time.
But finally, after a while and even with Miku collapsed from the exhaustion of running all over the place, the giant girl seemed to have enough.
“(deep breaths) Oh, I give up. What’s it gonna take already?” the girl said before she simply walked away to the other side of the pool. Chijinda and the others took many deep breaths as they watched the giantess walk away.
“Damn, that was too fuckin’ close!” Kyon said.
“I like women’s feet as much as the next guy, but seriously...” Chijinda said. The two guys ran over and helped Miku up to her feet.
“Are you alright, Hatsune Miku?” Chijinda asked.
“Yes... just a bit winded from all that running. Can we please try and dodge all the other giant girls?” Miku asked.
“She’s right. It’s much too dangerous to talk with ANY of them at our size. We should steer clear of them until we return to normal.” Chijinda said.
“Gee, you think?” Kyon said sarcastically.

The group continued their walk around the massive school property, avoiding all contact with the giantesses around the area. Finally, the group found a square hole in one of the nearby walls.
“Hey, here’s another hole. Should we enter?” Chijinda said.
“Ick... it’s probably gonna be disgusting...” Miku said.
“Trust me, Miku. It’s not nearly as disgusting as inside a giant girl’s belly.” Kyon said, thinking back to when he and Chijinda were trapped inside Erika’s stomach earlier in the adventure.
“Right right... let’s take our chances.” Chijinda said. The group entered and made their way through the hole and into the expansive tunnel. The group did have to dispatch a couple bug-like creatures and some rats, but they were easy pickings compared to the giant girls outside... plus they were valuable experience points for everyone (well, except Miku, she pretty much stayed behind the guys and let them do the fighting).
After some more long walking, the group finally found themselves in a familiar sight.

“Well, here we are, back inside the school.” Kyon said.
“But at least we’re in a different wing it looks like.” Chijinda said.
“So now what?” Miku asked.
“Now we begin the search for my assistant, Narue. No matter how long it takes or what dangers we face, we have to find her.” Chijinda said.
“Maybe we should split up so we can cover more ground?” Kyon asked.
“No way... at our size, we wouldn’t be able to find each other. We stay together.” Chijinda said.
“Works for me!” Miku said.
And so our heroes made their way down the hallways, being ever so careful to watch out for any giantesses that might come their way.

But as careful as they were, one did manage to spot our heroes. Chijinda and company gasped when they saw a girl wearing the same outfits as Erika and the vice director approach them. This girl sported long black hair and bore a striking resemblance to Kagome Higurashi from Inuyasha, so for the sake of this fanfic, I’ll just name this girl Kagome (I mean, the director looks exactly like Hatsune Miku so why not?).
“Hey, hold it down there!” Kagome shouted.
“Judging by that outfit, that must be one of the ASS executives.” Chijinda said.
“And she doesn’t look too thrilled to see us.” Kyon said.
“The vice director said to look out for a few rather stingy little ones, one of them the great Hatsune Miku even. Of course, I found that hard to believe, but there you are, Hatsune Miku, shrunk like a skunk!” Kagome said.
“Yeah, um... look, how about I just give you my autograph and you can let us go?” Miku said with a cute smile on her face.
“Well, if you were normal-sized, I’d say sure, but even then, I cannot put anything else above my duties as an executive of the Advanced Sciences Society. And right now, I’m smelling a big promotion if I eliminate all of you right here and now.” Kagome said.
“We’re not afraid of you! Or your kind! Let’s battle, gang!” Chijinda said.
“W-w-w-w-what!? We’re seriously gonna fight a giantess who’s at least a hundred times bigger than us!?” Miku said.
“Don’t worry, Miku. Just watch the master at work.” Kyon said.
“Hahahahaha! Give it your best shot!” Kagome said. Then, as if the music suddenly changed and a voice in the air suddenly yelled ‘Giant ASS Member wants to fight!!,’ Chijinda and Kyon started attacking with their various weapons that they’ve found while tiny, whether it be tacks or toothpicks.
Despite getting stepped on, the boys were able to stay strong using healing magic, and speaking of magic, Chijinda suddenly yelled out:
“Annihilation!” Chijinda shouted, and he suddenly went into a flurry of attacks, striking Kagome all around her shoes and socks. It was enough to make Kagome stumble backwards.
“Oooooh... you’re good, but can you dodge this?” Kagome shouted. As she reached down to likely smack Chijinda flat with her hand, Miku was suddenly the one that made an evasive move. She suddenly pulled out her green stick, ran towards Chijinda, and jumped up.
“HI-YAAAA!!” Miku shouted as she smacked the giant hand with the stick. Kagome had to take her hand back and rub it in pain.
“OW!!!” Kagome said. Then Miku quickly used another attack, pulling out a microphone and suddenly shouting into it.
“LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!” Miku shouted. The voice boomed out incredibly loud despite her tiny size, forcing everyone to cover their ears until she stopped screaming. Kagome finally couldn’t take it anymore and decided to retreat.
“Arrrrgh! Don’t think this is over, especially when I find the vice director and tell them where you escaped to!” Kagome said before she took off down the hallway.

Kyon and Chijinda both approached Hatsune Miku and patted her on the back.
“Wow... nice moves, Miku! Thanks.” Chijinda said.
“But maybe do you think next time you could give us an advance warning on the screaming?” Kyon said as he continued to rub his ears.
“Yeah... sorry about that. Sometimes I don’t know the strength of my own voice.” Miku said as she rubbed the back of her head with a sweatdrop falling down.
“Come on, we can’t stay here. They’re gonna know soon where we are. We have to find Narue now!” Chijinda said.
And then, Kyon looked down the other side of the hallway at a staircase. Coming up those steps? None other than Narue herself.
“I think we found her, Chijinda.” Kyon said.
“Oooh... where could Chijinda possibly be? I’ve searched all over the school and no trace of him...” Narue said. The tiny group could only watch as the giant Narue walked on past them and down the hallway.
“Narue! Naruuuuuueeeee!!!!!” Chijinda shouted as loud as he could.

After lumbering around the school trying to find a safe place to speak with her tiny friends, and especially with no chance of ASS finding them, Narue eventually walked inside one of the nurse’s offices. She double checked and saw nobody was inside, and so she sat down on one of the nearby beds, taking her friends out of the breast pocket and placing them on a nearby table. As Kyon grumbled over not being able to get the view of a lifetime like the one he had outside, Chijinda and Miku spent the next few minutes explaining everything that had happened to them today. Narue was stunned to hear the many bits and pieces of the story.
“...and then I decided I had to risk getting your attention. You know the rest.” Chijinda said.
“How awful! Especially what they did to you, Hatsune Miku! I listen to your music all the time!” Narue shouted.
“Hehe, thank you!” Miku said.
“Listen, um... I don’t suppose I could get your autograph now?” Narue asked.
“NARUE!!” Chijinda shouted.
“Okay, okay, I know! It’s a bad time. But those WITCHES of Advanced Sciences Society! They have to be stopped here and now!” Narue shouted.
“You’re telling me! No one’d like better to see their whole operation shut down as of yesterday. Still, it’s nowhere near as easy as it sounds.” Chijinda said.
“I can understand, Chijinda-kun. Crazy high tech weapons that shrink people, genetic monsters, and who knows what else.” Narue said.
“Partially digested fish. I’ll have nightmares of them for weeks.” Kyon said.
“Ewwww....” Miku said, shivering at the thought of what Kyon just said.
“In any case, I can’t imagine what I must look like from your perspective.” Narue said.
“I don’t think you’d want to, Narue. You’re like a living skyscraper! One blast of human breath would probably turn us all into putty!” Chijinda said.
“And that’s the main point! We need to get you and everyone else back to normal size as soon as possible! That is... if there’s a way to get you back to normal.” Narue said.
“And may I graciously point out that even if there is a way, I highly doubt there’s a Society member gracious enough to just hand us a free invitation.” Kyon said.
“Well, surely there’s some piece of machinery inside HQ that can grow us back to normal. Probably in the annex sections that we haven’t explored yet.” Chijinda said.
“But how are we going to get there?” Miku asked. Silence befell the group for several seconds as they all tried to find a way to sneak deeper into the headquarters of the ASS. Narue then snapped her fingers, even though it almost sounded like a clap of thunder to the tiny heroes.
“Oh, I got it! And best of all, they’ll never see it coming!” Narue said with a grin on her face.
“I’m all ears!” Chijinda said.
“Careful, Chijinda. I know that look on her face. Haruhi gets it too whenever she has an idea that’s going to make me suffer. You shouldn’t get so excited.” Kyon said. Just as he said that, Narue got up from the bed and walked over to the nearby desk and took a piece of paper. She then used her other hand to pick up the tiny heroes and put them back into her breast pocket.
“We’ll need to get to the school roof for this to work!” Narue said.
“Whatever you say, Narue.” Chijinda said.
“I have a feeling this is going to be unpleasant.” Kyon said.

Eventually, Narue had managed to make it to the roof of the main school building. She took out the tiny heroes and held them up to her face.
“So, Narue... you mind telling me now what this brilliant plan of yours is about?” Chijinda asked.
“Well, I was thinking about how hard and dangerous it is to get around at your size. But...” Narue said. She placed the tiny group down on the ground, but only temporarily while she got to work with the piece of paper. After folding it several different ways, it was now a paper airplane. While holding it with one hand, she scooped up Chijinda and friends and showed them her handiwork.
“But with this paper airplane, you should be able to reach anywhere on the campus with no trouble at all!” Narue said with a smile on her face.
“Now I REALLY know this is going to be unpleasant!” Kyon shouted.
“But think of the places we could now reach aboard this craft!” Miku said.
“She’s right... including the rooftop of the annex building! It’s too bad you can’t come along, Narue, but I don’t think your makeshift airship would appreciate it though.” Chijinda said. He suddenly watched as Narue leaned her face in closer.
“Oh? Are you implying I weigh too much, Mister Detective?” Narue asked.
“About several hundred tons, proportionally speaking. Don’t worry, it looks good on you though!” Chijinda shouted.
“Ah, glad to hear it! Now then, all aboard!” Narue said. She then placed the tiny heroes inside the plane. As they settled themselves inside, Chijinda could see the nervousness in both Miku and Kyon’s faces.
“Chill, guys! I trust Narue. We just gotta work together to reach our destination.” Chijinda said.
“Oh... it’s not your friend I’m worried about... it’s the laws of physics.” Miku said.
“She’s right, you know. Seriously, how the hell are we supposed to fly this contraption!?” Kyon said. Narue was quick to ease the worries of both Miku and Kyon as she made one more adjustment to the back of the plane.
“There! No need to worry about running out of steam or steering! I attached this portable electric fan I had because it was so hot lately.” Narue said.
“I see! So we just lean into the direction we want to go and the fan underneath provides lift!” Chijinda said.
“Y’know, aviation experts would still laugh at us...” Kyon muttered. But the time for talk was over. Narue pulled her arm back and prepared to launch the paper plane (after activating the fan) in the air.
“Chijinda-kun... I better see you at normal size the next time we’re together!” Narue said.
“You can count on it, Narue!” Chijinda said.
“Now then... ready? Blast off!!” Narue shouted as she threw the plane in the air.

Chijinda first flew the plane in circles to get a feel for controlling it. He was getting so comfortable in fact...
“EEEEEEK!!! Chijinda-kun!” Narue said as she tried to cover up her panties after her skirt was blown up from the gust of the plane’s fan.
“Sorry! My bad! I promise no more of my dirty-minded ideas... OWOWOWOWOW!!!” Chijinda said, only to suddenly get repeatedly bonked on the head by Hatsune Miku and her green stick
“CHIJINDA YOU IDIOT!!! WATCH WHERE YOU’RE FLYING!!! YOU COULD’VE KILLED US!!!” Miku shouted.
“And he could’ve just politely said ‘Requesting permission to perform a fly-by on dat giant ass!!’” Kyon said.
“Okay, okay! Sorry, Miku! I forgot we had an equally small lady in our presence.” Chijinda said. After a few minutes of flying around the property, including coming dangerously close to getting swatted out of the air by a priestess, the paper plane made it to the top of the annex building. The group jumped into one of the pipes and slid their way down, eventually coming out of the first shining hole they came across.

Chijinda, Miku, and Kyon (plus cat Shamisen) all knew they were in the right place when they saw a bunch of machines, some just as small as they were, looking around the hallways. Of course there were also the giantess members of ASS to look out for as well.
“A room full of evil giantesses and all sorts of machines scanning for bug-sized bait like us. Piece of cake.” Kyon said.
“Oy... I don’t know how much longer I can play this game.” Miku said.
“Be strong, Miku. We’ve survived a dangerously huge environment before and we’ll do it again.” Chijinda said. And so our heroes summoned their inner Solid Snakes again and snuck their way around the chaos as best as they could. Some machines did detect their presence, but they were able to defeat them and gain valuable experience points. They also had to contend with more mutant bugs and insects that simply creeped Miku out, but finally they were able to make it to some kind of computer room after passing through a library (and writing down a series of numbers along the way).
“Hmmm... I wonder if any of these systems can help with our situation.” Chijinda said. After inputting one of the codes they jotted down (it took the combined might of all three heroes to press the keys down!), the screen suddenly changed to read the words:

PRISONERS LOCATED IN ROOM A-5. PASSCODE IS 1720

“Prisoners? No doubt as small as us. Maybe they can help...” Chijinda said.
“Wait, Chijinda! Look!” Kyon said as he pointed up to the screen. A video suddenly started playing. On the screen was the Vice Director, and behind her was the director herself, Evil Miku.
“Ooooooh! There’s that fake me again!” Miku said.
“I wonder what this is about...” Chijinda said. The group watched the video play out for the next few minutes. Turns out it was some diary entries basically detailing how the Vice Director, Evil Miku, and Erika got together and how they all planned to change the world with their experiments, most important of all their shrinking devices. Once the video finished playing, the three commented on what they just saw.
“Man... we need to stop them. Or they’ll have free reign on the entire world with their terrible experiments!” Chijinda said.
“And people called ME crazy for the music I used to sing. This Miku’s off the charts!” Miku said.
“Come on! Let’s go free these prisoners!” Chijinda said.

As soon as the three heroes made it to Room A-5, there was a cage holding a group of tiny men. All of them started screaming various things as soon as they saw the heroes.
“HELP! GET US OUT OF HERE!”
“Save us before the evil goddess shows up again!
“Marry me, Hatsune Miku!”
“There’s the terminal up ahead!” Chijinda said as he pointed across the room. Without hesitation, he ran over to this terminal and climbed up it to reach the control panel. With help from Miku and Kyon, they entered the code 1720 as instructed from the previous room. Right away, the cage opened up and the group of men came running out. One of them stopped in front of Chijinda as he and his friends climbed back down on the ground.
“Thanks a million, man! You’re a lifesaver!” one of the men said while the others ran out of the room.
“My pleasure, I guess...” Chijinda said.
“Listen, I overheard one of those evil goddesses say something like the re-enlarging machine was set in Room A-3 or something like that.” the man said.
“A-3! Damn! That’s pretty close!” Kyon said.
“Don’t worry about us in the big picture. We’ll follow you once you’ve cleared the way, and make sure we aren’t seen. We’re counting on you...” the man said.
“You can depend on me, don’t you worry! Just remember to stay out of sight until we find the enlarger!” Chijinda said. The man nodded before he took off running, but then he stopped.
“Ummm... can I have Mrs. Miku’s autograph before I go?” the man said.
“Well.... ummmm...” Miku said.
“Later, man! First things first!” Chijinda said. Then he nodded again and ran away. Chijinda and the rest of his group went running as well in their search for Room A-3.

It took another dozen or two minutes of searching around the complex, opening more electronic doors with passcodes they’ve accumulated and then dodging more evil giantesses (with one of them close to finishing our heroes, only to get called away at the last moment), they wound up in a room with two large chambers, the left of which was glowing a bright green. On the far right was another computer terminal.
“Well, this must be it.” Chijinda said.
“Unless it’s the world’s most expensive pancake maker, anyway.” Kyon said.
“Well? What are we waiting for? Let’s make ourselves big again!” Miku shouted. The three ran towards the console and climbed up it.
“Looks like it’s in lock mode...” Kyon said.
“Well, time to see if this Silver Key will do the trick.” Chijinda said. Indeed, the group had been dragging around a large key for the past several rooms. They worked together to put the key into the matching hole. Once it was in, several green lights lit up and a message on the display screen read:

RE-ENLARGER ACTIVATED. PLACE OBJECT IN RIGHT TERMINAL TO ACTIVATE

“Finally! I’ve had enough of being a few centimeters tall!” Chijinda said.
“You mean WE’VE had enough! How do you think I’ve felt the past several hours!?” Miku said.
“Right... my apologies, Hatsune Miku. I’ll buy five of your next CDs to make up for putting you through this shit.” Chijinda said.
“Make it fifteen!!” Kyon suddenly shouted. And so, after the three plus Shamisen climbed onboard the right part of the machine, several bright lights lit up the room. When Chijinda and friends opened their eyes, they were standing on the left side of the machine, all back to their normal size.
“Yeehah! We’re back to normal size!” Chijinda shouted.
“You sure about that? They didn’t skimp on a few inches, did they? I would absolutely HATE to be looking up to Suzumiya...” Kyon said. Chijinda then felt Miku hugging onto his back.
“HOORAY!!! It’s sooooooooo awesome to be 5 feet 2 inches tall again!” Miku shouted.
“Y’know, Chijinda, we better check all our original equipment.” Kyon said.
“You’re right, Kyon. We can’t be using those needles and other things anymore now that we’re 100 times bigger than them.” Chijinda said. The group then stepped away from the machines when they lit up again. As the seconds ticked by, more and more men were reappearing at their normal sizes. Chijinda quickly figured this group to be the prisoners they rescued earlier.
“Thanks again, man. We are forever in your debt.” the man said.
“You’re welcome... but what about any other shrunken men?” Chijinda asked.
“Don’t worry... we’ll make sure they get saved as well. We can take on whatever those bitches dish at us now!” the man said.
“Yeah! You go after the queen bitches themselves! I got a feeling you can take them on with your strength!” another gentleman said.
“Tch, good idea! Good luck, you two! There’s a lot of guys counting on you too!” Chijinda said. As the guys took off running, Kyon pondered what the next plan of attack was.
“So, what now, fearless leader?” Kyon said.
“Well, first we gotta reunite with Narue. Hopefully she didn’t wander too far after letting the paper airplane fly. Come on, guys.” Chijinda said.
“And we gotta watch out for any evil... oh, wait... darn it! I’m so used to being tiny I keep looking up!” Miku said. Chijinda and Kyon just laughed as they and Miku headed out of the re-enlarging room and eventually out of the building itself without much trouble.

The group didn’t have to wander around for too long, spotting Narue walking around one of the hallways.
“Narue-san!” Chijinda shouted as he ran up to Narue.
“Oh, Chijinda-kun!” Narue shouted. The two hugged after Narue jumped up and down in excitement.
“Oh... I’m so relieved! The more time that passed, the more I was worried! But I’m glad to see you and everyone else back to your normal size.” Narue said.
“Yep, somehow we managed to pull it off. Even I can’t believe it, to be honest with you.” Chijinda said.
“I don’t blame you! You were only a few centimeters tall, after all! I felt so helpless knowing there was nothing I could do once I set you free and...” Narue said.
“Shhhh... it’s alright, Narue. We both did the best we could.” Chijinda said.
“Okay, thanks. Thanks for not letting me ramble off too!” Narue said with a wink.
“Besides, we can’t waste any more time. With all that we know that those executives are planning, we need to take action NOW. We have to find the director and end her madness right here and now.” Chijinda said.
“Um... just one problem, Einstein. We don’t know where she is.” Kyon said.
“Maybe we do.” Miku said.
“Oh? How do you know, Hatsune Miku?” Chijinda asked.
“My evil duplicate can’t be happy that I escaped those other two girls. She’ll probably want to have my head served in her lap.” Miku said.
“So what are you suggesting, Miku?” Narue said.
“Don’t worry. My little Vocaloid tricks can help us. Listen...” Miku said as she gathered everyone together.

Several minutes passed. In front of one of the buildings was the vice director, just walking around and going about her business. Suddenly she heard a faint voice down by her feet.
“Help! Please help me, somebody!” the female voice said. The VD looked down and saw a tiny Hatsune Miku suddenly looking very terrified.
“Ahhhh... there you are, inferior Miku.” the vice director said. She then kneeled down and picked up the shrunken Vocaloid singer.
“No! Please! Let me go!” Miku suddenly shouted.
“Don’t worry, I’ll let you go once you’re in the director’s hands. Y’know, she was real insistent on bringing you to her alive immediately. Personally I’d rather squash you twice over with my shoes, but those are her orders.” the vice director said.
“No! Please! Let me go!” Miku shouted again. The vice director simply rolled her eyes and placed Miku in one of her pockets before walking away.
From around the corner of the building that the VD had been standing in front of, Chijinda, Kyon, Narue... and Miku herself all poked their heads out. They all kept their voices at a lower level.
“Looks like she bought your little ruse... no pun intended, Mrs. Miku.” Chijinda said.
“It’s okay. I always knew my ‘tiny clone’ program would come in handy for something other than my music videos.” Miku said.
“You’re so cool, Hatsune Miku! You AND your special effects!” Narue said.
“Yes, but are you sure this is going to lead us straight to the director? Surely she’ll have other members of ASS guarding the way.” Kyon said.
“True! So that’s where my cloaking utility comes in! Everybody hold onto me...” Miku said. After feeling everyone grab onto her and then pressing a few buttons on her arm, suddenly she and the other members of Chijinda’s party were rendered invisible. Narue confirmed the invisibility when she held her hand in front of her face and yet couldn’t see it.
“Whoa... cool!” Narue said.
“And there. This program will make it so nobody else can see us, but we can still see each other. I don’t know how long it’s going to last, so we better hope it’s not a long trip.” Miku said.
“Heh... I’m amazed at all the little toys you’re carrying, Mrs. Miku. Have you ever thought about being a secret agent?” Chijinda said.
“I guess that’d be a good second career choice!” Miku said.
“Okay... I don’t mean to be rude, but we better get going so we don’t lose that red-headed bitch...” Kyon said.
“Kyon’s right. Let’s go everyone... but remember to stay quiet.” Chijinda said. The group finally got moving and walked behind the vice director. Occasionally she would stop and look behind her thinking something was following her, only to not see a thing.
“Hmph... if there is a tiny person behind me, he’s got some loud footsteps.” the vice director said.
“No! Please! Let me go!” the holographic Miku shouted again.
“SHUT UP ALREADY!!” the vice director screamed, ignoring the rest of Miku’s pleas.

It took at least a few minutes, but finally the group had made it into the heart of ASS headquarters. The group made sure to keep up with the vice director so they wouldn’t get locked behind any of the security doors.
“Damn... these bitches take their security seriously.” Kyon said quietly.
“They really put Fort Knox to shame.” Narue said. Chijinda then looked down the hall and saw the vice director walking into the large room where the director was sitting on her throne and Erika was standing alongside.
“There they are... be ready to uncloak us, Miku, when they realize they’re holding a fake tiny copy of you.” Chijinda said.
“Got it.” Miku said.

The vice director walked up to Evil Miku with a smile on her face.
“Madame Director... I present to you the inferior Hatsune Miku.” the vice director said as she took the fake Miku out of her pocket and gave her to the waiting hands of Evil Miku.
“No! Please! Let me go!” the fake Miku shouted.
“Hmmhmm... so we finally meet again. After all the trouble you’ve caused my girls in finding you, I’ll make sure your death is as slow and full of pain as possible.” Evil Miku said.
“No! Please! Let me go! No! Please! Let me go!” the fake Miku shouted. Evil Miku suddenly caught on to what was going on.
“Hmmm... most unfortunate.” Evil Miku said.
“Huh? What is it?” the vice director said.
“Vice Director, please try not to be hard on yourself, but it appears you may have fallen for one of her tricks. This is one of her holographic clones.” Evil Miku said.
“WHAT!? Madame Director... please forgive me.” the vice director said.
“Oops! Vice Director made a boo-boo!” Erika shouted.
“Shut up, you twit! Madame Director, I promise I will not fail you again. Allow me to continue my search for the tiny inferior Miku.” the vice director said.

All of a sudden, there was a faint male voice in the room belonging to Chijinda.
“Now!” he shouted. All at once, the shrunken holographic clone of Miku disappeared, and appearing in front of the three ladies were Chijinda, Narue, Kyon, and the real Hatsune Miku. Shamisen the cat, curiously, was not part of the group at the moment.
“Looking for me, my evil twin? Well, here I am.” Miku said. Naturally, the vice director looked pissed.
“WHAT THE FUCK!? How did you manage to get in here!? Chijinda!! I’ll admit I may have looked down on you all a bit too much!! I don’t know whether to honestly compliment you or to be violently pissed off.” the vice director said.
“Hmmm... so you’re the ‘famous’ Chijinda, are you? I’ve heard all about you from my associates.” Evil Miku said. Erika looked the most confused, finding it hard to believe Chijinda was standing there when she clearly remembered swallowing him earlier in his adventure.
“Huuuuh? That’s so weird! If I ‘disposed’ of these guys, they should be bubbling down in my tummy! Why are they, like, here now, and back to normal size too!?” Erika shouted.
“An excellent question, actually. Quite surprising from you, Erika. No offense, of course.” Evil Miku said.
“Yaaay! I got praised!” Erika said.
“Pffft... wouldn’t you like to know. A good magician, or detective, never reveals his best tricks.” Chijinda said.
“And a true Vocaloid too!” Miku shouted.
“Besides, compared to my escape from Borneo, getting outta Tweedle-Dum-chan over here was a cake walk.” Chijinda said.
“You impudent little piece of...!” the vice director said, only to be interrupted by the Director herself.
“Your concerns are appreciated, both of you, though I assure you unnecessary so long as we keep this conversation civil. It’s actually a pleasure of sorts to meet you in person after hearing about your daring exploits in taking measures against us.” Evil Miku said.
“Yeah, well, the pleasure’s all yours, trust me.” Chijinda said.
“Now now. No need to be that way. I’ve been looking forward to this. I believe we can be of mutual benefit to each other.” Evil Miku said.
“Oh, I’ve been looking forward to meeting you also. Although I’d imagine for completely different reasons.” Chijinda said.
“Be careful, Chijinda... I don’t know what horror movies this clone of mine has been watching.” Miku said.
“Don’t worry, Miku. I can’t imagine ANYTHING we could cooperate on or help each other out with, considering.” Chijinda said.
“Considering it’s a miracle you can string words together without drooling on yourself?” the vice director said.
“No, considering I’d rather die than even think about supporting anything going on here!” Chijinda said.
“Tsk tsk, VD, be nice! You know the Director’s trying to be all, y’know, laundromatic and stuff!” Erika said.
“I believe the word you’re looking for is diplomatic, Miss Secretary, but yes, please do try to reign in your enthusiasm.” Evil Miku said.
“Sorry... *ahem* I mean, I apologize. Please forgive my rudeness, detective.” the vice director said.
“Now then, allow me to clarify my position and clear up the air on what I am striving to achieve.” Evil Miku said.

The evil director spent the next few minutes blabbering on justifying all the experiments that Chijinda and friends have witnessed throughout their adventure, namely on shrinking men to tiny size. She gave the same set of reasons and more that she gave to the real Hatsune Miku earlier in the day which led to shrinking her to tiny size. Chijinda and his group of heroes (especially Kyon) did their best to stay awake during the ‘presentation,’ while Evil Miku just ran her lips all while sitting perfectly still (and cross-legged) in her throne.
“So, what do you say, detective? After my thorough explanation, can you see the fruits of my labor? Can you truly understand where I am coming from? If you do, join me, and we can end the world’s problems right here, and right now.” Evil Miku said. Chijinda simply stood still for a few seconds.
“Chijinda?” Narue asked. Finally, his face tensed up with anger, and he looked at Evil Miku right in the eyes.
“Lady. You are a psychopath. On top of that, you’re defacing a national singing sensation that happens to be standing right next to me right now. Hell... NO!!!” Chijinda shouted. Evil Miku simply leaned back in her throne and frowned.
“I see. It truly is a shame, although I can’t say I’m very surprised. I really would have desired you as a valuable ally.” Evil Miku said. She then had a much sterner look on her face.
“However, I simply cannot afford the consequences of allowing you to run free, even if there is zero chance of stopping us! Madame Vice Director, I leave their disposal to you.” Evil Miku said.
“It will be my extreme pleasure, Madame Director. Chijinda... Miku... earlier you were only reduced to a ‘meager’ 1/100th of your normal size. This time, however, let’s see you come back when I shrink you all the way down to 1/10,000th!!!” the vice director said as she suddenly pulled out a gun-like device.
“*gasp*” all our heroes gasped.
“As I’m sure you’ll see, this newest model, our portable shrinking device, is quite a bit more powerful than the previous version.” the vice director said. She then started laughing maniacally.
“HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! That’s right, fools! Shrink down to the size of your fellow germs... and desperately struggle against the mites and lint in the forests of dust bunnies... in the world of this rug for what little remains of the rest of your pitiful lives!!!” the vice director shouted.

“Gee, I always wanted to join the flea circus...” Kyon said, trying to add a little humor to a dire situation.
“Shit!! No time to think... what to do...” Chijinda said as he frantically tried to think of a way out of this jam... all while trying to shake off the scary images of carpet strands being 150-160 feet tall.

Pretty much nothing changed in the city. People were still screaming their heads off trying to dodge not just giant Evil Miku’s body but also the debris storm she was causing by stepping on buildings left and right. She even changed up her routine when she sat down and planted her behind on half a city block. Feeling the buildings crunch underneath her panties, Evil Miku let out another booming call for surrender.
“Foolish mini mortals! The longer you wait to bend yourself to my will, the more your precious city is trashed.” Evil Miku said. It was a long way from the mostly calm and reasonable personality that she became known for when she was normal sized, but this was the world’s price to pay for Chijinda ruining her carefully laid plans. And speaking of Chijinda, he and Kyon continued to fire up a storm with their tanks. Their ammo wasn’t doing much to harm the mega giantess. She was, however, getting annoyed at their continuous futile efforts and decided enough was enough.
“Alright, Chijinda! I’ve been pretty tame with my stomping, but let’s see you get out of this!” Evil Miku said as she raised a foot high in the air. As Chijinda kept thinking this was the end even as he did his best to back his tank away, he suddenly felt the ground rumbling once again. And Evil Miku wasn’t even moving, which made this series of quakes more mysterious. But it was when he set the viewfinder inside the tank to behind him that his eyes were sprung wide open.
“Holy shit!!!” Chijinda said.

Hatsune Miku was stomping her way onto the scene, just as big as Evil Miku herself. Even Evil Miku was stunned to see her good counterpart coming towards her at the same size she was standing at. Miku finally stopped with her boots a handful of yards away from the tanks.
“Well well, I didn’t anticipate this.” Evil Miku said.
“Oh, just like I didn’t anticipate I had an evil twin?” Miku asked in a snarky tone.
“Bah, no matter! Clearly I underestimated you. However, you may be as large as I am, but I will show you the difference in our power... and what it means to be willing to use it!” Evil Miku said. Chijinda finally popped his head out of the tank and pleaded with Miku not to do anything harsh or endanger herself.
“Mrs. Miku, please be careful! We don’t know what the director is capable of!” Chijinda shouted. Miku picked up on that despite her immense size.
“Don’t worry, detective. I don’t think this Miku is all she’s cracked up to be. In fact, if she thinks she’s me... she’d sing as well as I could!” Miku said.
“Huh?” Chijinda asked.
“My evil clone... I challenge you to a Vocaloid Singing Contest!” Miku said as she pulled out a microphone. Evil Miku raised an eyebrow but then broke into a smile.
“Hmmmm... alright. I would be more than happy to challenge you. I’ll not only soundly defeat you but prove once and for all I am the TRUE Hatsune Miku!” Evil Miku shouted. After Miku magically created another microphone using her Vocaloid powers, she tossed it over to Evil Miku who caught it easily.
“A true Miku, and for that matter a true Vocaloid, always sings from the heart. Let’s see how well you do with this one!” Miku shouted. After pressing a sequence of buttons on her gloves, suddenly music started to blare out as if a giant stereo was nearby. It wouldn’t occur to the tiny people just yet that Miku tapped into the emergency sirens that normally go bonkers when a natural disaster is looming. Chijinda and Kyon figured it out, however.
“What the...” Chijinda said.
“Yep, just how I imagined the end of the world would be. A J-Pop song to be used as a warning that two Hatsune Mikus are about to have a giant sing-off.” Kyon said.
The song that was playing was one of Miku’s most popular songs, MELT.

Miku was stunned. Evil Miku was singing EXACTLY like her... right down to the high pitch of her singing voice. Miku started singing again, and this time Evil Miku echoed her word for word...

As the music started to die down, Evil Miku flashed a most evil smile over at her good counterpart.
“HA! You see? I’m 100% Hatsune Miku.” Evil Miku said.
“No... no! That’s impossible!” Miku said.
“Oh it’s possible, all right. And you want to know what else I can do?” Evil Miku said. She then aimed her own microphone right at Miku and shot a black lightning bolt towards her. It came in a big hurry and Miku had no time to dodge it.
“ACK!!!” Miku shouted. After getting shocked by the bolt, she went flying backwards several feet in the air before landing hard on a city block, crushing it underneath her body.
“Hmm hmm hmm... all this power! And I get to use it all on you!!” Evil Miku said as she stomped towards the downed Miku. The two tanks tried their best to keep up, but Evil Miku was moving way too fast for them to keep up.
“Damn it! Miku, hold on!” Chijinda shouted.

Meanwhile, all the way back at Yabaize High School, Narue was standing in the front courtyard looking out towards the city. Of course, the two Mikus weren’t hard to see given how huge they both were, and when she saw the good Miku get zapped by Evil Miku, she began to worry not just about her, but Chijinda as well. Nothing else mattered at the moment, not even the many students screaming their heads off.
“Ahhhh!! Oh no! At this rate... Miku doesn’t stand a chance! And there’s only so much Chijinda and Kyon can do in those tanks...” Narue said. She then looked over at Evil Miku again.
“That crazy evil clone will crush him flat sooner or later, along with everyone else! She’s just too BIG!! There has to be something I can do, but what? Think, Narue, think! There has to be a way to fight fire with fire...” Narue shouted. It was saying that last thing out loud that got her gasping.
“*gasp* Wait! This thing!” Narue said. She reached into her item bag and pulled out the portable shrink ray, the one that the vice director threatened to shrink everyone to below microscopic size with but luckily didn’t. Then she looked on the backside of the device and saw what looked like a slot for something.
“Huh? I wonder if this slot is for this item...” Narue said as she next pulled out the 'Enlargement Chip' that she and the rest of Chijinda’s troupe found while escaping the tower. After quickly putting the chip inside the gun, suddenly a robotic voice eminated from the gun.
“Enlarging functionality activated.” the gun simply said.
“Enlarging functi...? Oh, of course! That means I can grow things now! Including myself! I can make myself bigger just like that director witch and give her a taste of her own medicine!” Narue said. After thinking that, she wasted no time in turning the gun towards herself. But before she could fire, she began to think about the consequences.
“Oh... but if we start fighting in the city, we could damage it even further and kill a lot of people... including Chijinda. And it would be embarrassing to have the whole city staring at my panties... and if...” Narue said. Quickly realizing she was blabbering again, Narue stomped on the ground in frustration.
“DAMN IT!!! I have no choice! Do your thing, little gun!” Narue shouted. She fired away, and once the bright light from the gun died down, Narue dropped everything (including of course the gun) and clutched her body as she felt a reaction.
“Ooooooh... I feel so hot... strange... Oh!” Narue said. The girl began to grow bigger.
“Y...Yes! It’s working! I’m getting bigger! Oh... really biiiiiiiiiig!!!” Narue said as she watched the surroundings around her get smaller and smaller.

Back in the city, Miku managed to get back to her feet, but she was breathing heavily as she did a quick mic check and then looked over at Evil Miku.
“You’ve been a thorn in my side for too long. It is time I add the leader of the Vocaloids to my growing title list, including soon-to-be empress of the city.” Evil Miku said.
“Don’t be silly! It takes... *huff puff* it takes more than a lightning bolt to beat me!” Miku said.
“We shall see. Goodbye, Hatsune Miku!” Evil Miku said. As she aimed her microphone again to give Miku a potentially fatal blast, Miku was doing her best to anticipate the blast. And then...
“Watch out!!” another female voice said. The next thing Miku knew, she felt someone pulling her aside and the black lightning bolt went flying to the side. Miku had another hard landing onto the ground, but wasn’t seriously hurt this time. Miku rolled onto her back and finally saw what it was that pulled her away from the bolt. It was a giant Narue, as big as both she and Evil Miku were.
“What? Narue?” Miku said.
“Sorry, Mrs. Miku. It was the only way I could save you from that nasty bolt of lightning.” Narue said as she lowered a hand towards Miku, who grabbed it and used it (and Narue’s tug) to help herself back to her feet. Miku brushed off the debris from her clothing and hair that she caught from the landing.
“Hey, think nothing of it. I’ve had rougher landings, including one time in a pile of mud!” Miku said.
“Oh! Oh! Don’t tell me! It was in one of your videos, right?” Narue said.
“Of course!” Miku said with a smile on her face. Narue then looked down at the two tanks on the ground. She saw the hatches on one of them open and Chijinda’s head stuck out.
“What the...!? Narue-san!? Is that you!? How did you blow yourself up to giantess size!?” Chijinda shouted.
“We-We’ll talk about it later, Chijinda-kun! Oh... I’m so embarrassed. Just stay back and let us handle this!” Narue shouted.
“You... you got it! Not that I’d argue with a girl assistant bigger than me...” Chijinda said as he jumped back into his tank and backed it away from the three mega giantesses. Evil Miku saw the tanks backing away, but her immediate concern was now two giantesses, and one of them that goofy hat-wearing assistant of Chijinda, no less.
“Hmph! It seems I left too many of my toys behind, including Project D39. No matter! I will kill you all in the end!” Evil Miku said.

Narue knew she couldn’t waste any time in dealing with the Evil Miku. She immediately told Miku of an idea she thought of as she was stomping her way from the school to the battle scene.
“Miku... I think we’re gonna have to duet in order to beat this evil clone of yours. Do you have a microphone I can borrow?” Narue asked.
“Of course... I have no shortage of these things, you know.” Miku said as she generated another wireless microphone using her Vocaloid magic.
“I have a song in mind. Do you think you can tag along after I get started?” Narue said.
“I’ll do my best.” Miku said. As she initiated some background music to play over the same loudspeakers as before, Narue smiled.
“It’s perfect!” Narue said. Miku was quite curious on what she was going to sing, but she listened to the words, as did Evil Miku who was ready to send them back with another powerful force.

It was certainly a new song, but that wasn’t about to stop Miku, who gained unfathomable fame for her great ability to come up with a song on the fly with either just music or the words of another Vocaloid. And so she got cranking with a couple verses of her own...

Evil Miku tried repeating the same words that both Miku and Narue were singing, but something felt way off... she was not singing with the same passion as before. In fact, she had a nervous look on her face.
“This... this song... not this song!” Evil Miku shouted. Miku and Narue continued singing, now together as they both danced around the block as well.

“Would you like an encore?” Narue and Miku both suddenly asked. Narue then cast a thunderbolt, one of a small set of offensive magic spells she knew, and Miku added in a pulsing sound wave coming from her microphone.
“NOOO!!!” Evil Miku shouted as she got hit with both attacks, sending her flying backwards and flat on her back, crushing another city block flat.
“Uhhhhhhhh.... *cough cough*” Evil Miku said as she was unable to get back up. Narue and Miku both just stood there, realizing they won.
“Did we... did we beat her?” Narue asked.
“It looks that way. Narue... that was some amazing singing!” Miku said.
“Awww... thanks. I even had a name for the song. Kyodai Shojo.” Narue said with a red blush on her face.
“Ah, very nice. I like that.” Miku said. Meanwhile, the two giantesses watched as Chijinda and Kyon both came out from their respective tanks.
“Wow! That was amazing! You two really kicked ass!” Chijinda said.
“Thanks, Chijinda-kun! We only did what we could to help out.” Narue said.
“Look, she’s shrinking!” Miku said. Indeed, before the conversation could be carried on anymore, everyone watched as Evil Miku was suddenly getting smaller and smaller. She shrunk, and moved around very slowly, until she was all the way back to her normal size. After crawling out of the crater she left behind when her giant self landed on her back, Evil Miku collapsed onto her side. Chijinda, Kyon, and Shamisen all ran up towards Evil Miku. The two remaining giantesses, Miku and Narue, both watched from high above.

It was easy for everyone to tell that the battle took a lot out of Evil Miku, and she clearly looked to be dying.
“Oh no you don’t! Don’t you die on us! You’re not going to get off that easy!” Chijinda said.
“Hehheh... I’ve been beaten. I’m finished. It’s a total loss no matter how you look at it.” Evil Miku said.
“That’s kinda the size of things, right now.” Kyon said.
“Kyon! This is serious! Hand me a healing potion or something!” Chijinda said.
“Save your breath and your inventory, detective. I’m too far gone for that. And why do you think I’d want your help anyway? Aren’t we mortal enemies? Are you that much of a softie or is it some foolish ‘manly’ code?” Evil Miku said.
“Arrrgh... just stop talking. You can’t pay for all the crimes you’ve committed when you just go up and kick the bucket.” Chijinda said.
“Well, guess I can’t argue with that, can I?” Evil Miku said. Just then, the group was joined by both the vice director and Erika. Both girls, especially the VD, were already sporting shocked faces as they saw their director laying on the ground in such bad shape, complete with a small trickling of blood coming down her body.
“OMG, Director! Like, are you alright? I was soooo like GIRL POWER! when I saw you totally big and thought you were gonna win and all...” Erika said.
“I’m sorry, Erika. I should’ve done better by you. I’ve been, well, I suppose selfish would be an understatement.” Evil Miku said.
“CHIJINDACHIJINDACHIJINDACHIJINDACHIJINDACHIJINDACHIJINDACHIJINDA!!!!!!” the vice director snapped in a fit of rage. Chijinda knew right away she’d probably blast him and everyone else with that super shrink ray if it were in her hands right now. Instead, he half expected to be punched in the mouth or something.
“How dare you do this to our director!? Years of work!! Everything we’ve invested into this!! I’ll never, EVER forgive you, not even if you come crawling to my feet!! I... I...” the vice director shouted as tears started to fall from her eyes. Even from her position, Evil Miku could sense the intense emotion coming from her partner.
“Please, Mia-chan. Just stop. Please... *cough* stop.” Evil Miku said.
“Maybe it’s even better this way. I want you to listen, more than you ever have your entire life.” Evil Miku finished.
“But... but...!” Mia said.
“I know how hard it will be to accept. Perhaps you never truly will, but I wonder how I couldn’t see it before. We were wrong, Mia. Not in our passion, and perhaps not in our motives. But what we’ve done... what I’ve started...” Evil Miku said.
“D...Director!?” Mia asked.
“I was so angry... so desperate... I desired to change things...” Evil Miku said.
“By shrinking nearly the entire world?” Chijinda said.
“No... to save humanity.” Evil Miku said.
“Pffft... right.” Chijinda said.
“Detective. While I was truthful with you in my justification to change the world, I haven’t been completely honest with you. Or with Miku either.” Evil Miku said.
“Huh? What do you mean?” Chijinda said.
“Ah, it’d be really difficult to explain things with my predecessor at such an enormous size.” Evil Miku said.
“Predec...? Okay then...” Chijinda said. The detective stood up and waved his hands downward at the giant Miku. She right away knew what he was motioning for.
“Hmmm... I think he wants me to shrink back to normal. I suppose this Project D39 can let me do that.” Miku said. After pressing some buttons on her glove and activating Project D39 again, she was surrounded by a powerful energy. Narue held on to Miku, and the two shrunk back to their normal sizes.
“Whew... thank goodness we’re back to normal! I wouldn’t want to be big forever!” Narue said. Miku, meanwhile, walked up to her evil counterpart.
“Hatsune Miku. I kid you not when I say I am Hatsune Miku. 200 years from the future.” Evil Miku said. Gasps went all around the area, especially from our heroes.
“W-w-w-w-w-what!?” Miku shouted.
“The future!?” Chijinda shouted, also in shock.
“You are indeed the original Hatsune Miku, as you’ve been trying to tell me since we first met. I’ve never ever doubted that. You are the source for all the Hatsune Mikus that have sung for this humble planet called Earth for hundreds of years. *COUGH COUGH*” Evil Miku said.
“Holy crap... of all the things...” Chijinda said.
“You’ll have to forgive me for giving you the abridged version as I seem to be... well... pressed for time at the present moment.” Evil Miku said.

Evil Miku spent the next few minutes of her dying existence explaining what Earth was like where she originally came from. The usual apocalyptic outlook... war, pollution, overpopulation have ruined the planet and brought humanity to its knees. Evil Miku founded the ASS and tried all sorts of experiments to help bring the population to a balanced level by weeding out the good from the bad. But she knew it was too late in the future to save Earth with these experiments, so she traveled back in time and continued her experiments in the present time, specifically at the city she chose thanks to its vast array of resources available, recruiting people like Mia and Erika who believed heavily in the need for sweeping (and for that matter shrinking) change.
Certainly it’s far from the whole story, I (the author) will leave that to those that have played Shrink High all the way to the end.

Chijinda, sitting down alongside the dying Evil Miku, found the story quite fascinating. He didn’t easily brush it off as a twisted fantasy land like he did beforehand. Some things still didn’t make sense to him, but he got some important answers thanks to the long story from the villainess. Miku was more shocked than anyone, not believing that anyone bearing the name Hatsune Miku would act in this way. Meanwhile, Evil Miku decided to make one final offer with her dying breath.
“Chijinda, even though you succeeded in stopping our plans for now, especially Operation: Humanity’s Reduction, your future as I’ve told you is dark and uncertain. Regardless of how you and the world might judge my ends, the fact remains that if left unchecked... the future is still damned to an age of misery I’d like to think is still less preferable to any history I would have crafted. Therefore, there’s nothing else I’d want more than for you to succeed where I have failed.” Evil Miku said.
“What are you saying?” Chijinda asked. Evil Miku could feel her life flashing before her eyes, so she spared the long talk and got straight to the offer.
“Take up my cause and become director of ASS. If you agree, I’ll turn over all my knowledge, technology, people, and resources to your care to do with as you see fit. There are only the will and... *cough cough* intentions of the one who wields it.” Evil Miku said. Before he could make a decision, suddenly it was Mia who got down on her knees just like Chijinda was and took his hands into her own.
“P-P-Please, Chijinda! Take over! I... We can save the director if we work together! I don’t care about the whole shrinking thing anymore! Just please help us! I’ll do anything! ANYTHING!” Mia said as the tears came pouring out of her eyes. Chijinda took a deep breath and said words that he knew was going to hurt some feelings.

“I... I’m sorry. You know I can’t.” Chijinda said quietly. It became silent around the area. Just the wind whistling along with the sirens of emergency vehicles rushing to rescue any survivors from the giantess attacks. The next one to speak was Evil Miku... and her eyes were beginning to close.
“I... see... heh... heh........ no....... surp....rise....consid....ering....No matter what.... spread my warning.... make sure.... everyone.... understands.....pro...tect.....future...” Evil Miku said.

And with that, Hatsune Miku, of an apocalyptic future 200 years from now, was dead.

Mia broke down crying.
“No! NOOOOOOOOOO!!!! DIRECTOR MIKU!!!” Mia said as she broke down sobbing over Evil Miku’s lifeless body.
Chijinda stood up, turned around, and kicked some pebbles that had been laying by his feet.
“It didn’t have to end this way.” Chijinda said.
“Chijinda?” Miku asked.
“GOD DAMMNNIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT!!!!!” Chijinda shouted as he looked up in the sky and screamed with all his might.

Epilogue

In the weeks that followed since the giantess incident in Yabaize City, the case of the mysterious disappearing people finally came to an end. Mia, after getting over the loss of her beloved friend, fully cooperated with law enforcement as long as they were willing to provide the same amount of leniency to Erika that she would get for helping the authorities, both local and also national, in arresting what little remained of ASS. The society was gone now. Nothing more than a distant memory except to those who were right in the thick of either the shrinking experiments or part of the mission to bring it all down.

And speaking of said mission... Chijinda couldn’t shake the unpleasant memory of watching Evil Miku die in front of him, Mia sobbing uncontrollably, or Erika crying like a baby and running away with super speed (at least until she was caught). And it didn’t get any easier even when returning to Yabaize City for the first time in three months. Kyon could easily spot the gloomy look on Chijinda’s face even as they both took their seats inside the stadium.
“Y’know, I may not be as sharp eyed a detective as you, but I can tell something’s bothering you.” Kyon said.
“Oh... sorry, Kyon. I just, you know, I keep thinking about the end of that mystery everytime I even look at this place on a map.” Chijinda said.
“Yeah, I’ll admit it was brutal. But just like with any other case, we’ve done our part. We’ve gotta move on eventually.
“I’m trying, man. Believe me, I’m trying. Maybe after we solve the next case I’ll feel better.” Chijinda said.
“Speaking of which... where is Narue? I can’t believe she’s missing out a Hatsune Miku concert of all things!” Kyon said.
“I know, me too. But she said she had a surprise for us when we got here.” Chijinda said. Just then, spotlights shone on the middle of the stadium where a stage was set up.
“Ladies and gentlemen! Are you ready for another magical Vocaloid night!?” the male announcer shouted. The crowd naturally hooted and hollered and screamed like little fangirls.
“Then let’s give it up for.... Hatsuneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Mikuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!” the male announcer said. A platform opened up on the stage... but nothing was coming out. As the crowd starting asking each other where Miku was, so did Kyon and Chijinda.
“Huh? Where is she?” Chijinda said. Kyon then gasped.
“Ummm... up there, Chijinda.” Kyon said as he pointed up into the sky.
“Huh? Are you.... WHAT IN THE SEVEN HELLS!?!?!?!?” Chijinda shouted.

Towering above the stadium all of a sudden were four giantesses. You heard me, four. And Chijinda immediately recognized the four faces. Narue, Mia (the former vice director), Erika, and of course, Hatsune Miku herself.
“Ooooooh!!! Hi there, cute little people! You all look so tasty and...” Erika said.
“Erika! We’re on parole, remember?” Mia said.
“Oh, right! My bad! Totally totally sorry!” Erika said.
“Good evening, everyone! Don’t be scared! I promise we won’t hurt you, and I did promise you a very big show tonight, didn’t I?” Miku said. The crowd then went back into a cheering frenzy, and of course some dirty-minded people were already reaching for their cameras hoping to get a panty shot or five.
“For my first song tonight, I’m dedicating this song to a very special group of friends that saved my life earlier this year in this city. In fact, one of them is standing right next to me. We’re both going to sing a song we wrote together. I hope you like it, be sure to watch the TV monitors!” Miku said. As the music suddenly started playing in the stadium, the four giantesses backed away from the stadium and walked towards one of the empty lots nearby. Some bright lights shone from blimps and helicopters flying above, and as Erika and Mia got to dancing with each other, Miku and Narue both sung the song that saved the city from Evil Miku’s wrath, Kyodai Shojo.

When the song was over, all four girls, seemingly with thanks from Miku’s Project D39, shrunk back to their normal sizes. After Narue, Mia, and Erika ran backstage, Miku continued the rest of the concert with her regular band of Vocaloids.

Chijinda and Kyon both ran backstage with their special passes in hand. They finally managed to catch up with the four girls that started the night gigantic.
“Whew... I must say, that’s quite the way to start off a big show!” Kyon said.
“Wow... that felt really good. I almost wish I could do it every day, but I did make my promise to the people of this city.” Mia said.
“Awwww... poor vice director...er, I mean, Mia-chan! But at least we got to live this fantasy for one night! All thanks to Miku-chan, of course!” Erika said.
“Really? So this was the big surprise you were talking about, Narue-san?” Chijinda asked.
“Yep! That was it! I hope you’re not mad at me for keeping this kind of secret from you. I was actually hoping it’d cheer you up and...” Narue said.
“No, no! It’s perfectly okay! You were great, Narue, and of course you looked fabulous.” Chijinda said.
“Hey, listen! Why don’t you guys go talk with the stage manager over there. I’m sure he can give you some free action figures and T-shirts.” Miku said.
“Oh boy! Profits on eBay, here I come!” Kyon shouted.
“Now hold up you dirty money grubber you!!” Narue shouted as she, Mia, and Erika gave chase.

Chijinda and Miku were looking at each other for a few seconds before they finally spoke.
“So how are you doing, Chijinda? Forgive me, but Narue told me it’s been tough for you lately.” Miku said.
“Yeah, kinda. But after tonight, I think I’m gonna start feeling better.” Chijinda said.
“Because we were nice and big and beautiful, just like in that wild mystery?” Miku asked.
“What!? NO! That’s not what I meant! I mean... well, you know...” Chijinda said as the two laughed.
“Chijinda... you haven’t forgotten the promise I asked you to make, right?” Miku asked.
“No, of course not. But don’t worry, Mrs. Miku. The future is gonna change and you and your future selves won’t be like the one that came from 200 years later.” Chijinda said.
“I hope not. I really hope not... but we can’t take any chances, can we?” Miku said.
“After what happened at that school... definitely not.” Chijinda said.
“Well, time for me to start packing everything up for the next show. It was fun getting to see you and your friends again.” Miku said as she offered a hand to Chijinda, who shook it immediately.
“The feeling is very much mutual. I hope we meet again.” Chijinda said.

And with that, Hatsune Miku and Chijinda went their separate ways with Chijinda running after Kyon and Narue, hoping they didn’t get lynched or something like that by Mia or Erika. Chijinda took a deep breath and smiled; something he felt like he hadn’t done for a long time. He could only hope the future would be this kind to him.
