Princess Zelda's bedroom

It was the start of another peaceful day in Hyrule. Of course, ever since Ganondorf was sent to what everyone thought would be an eternity in the Golden Realm, life has been peaceful. Still, Princess Zelda tries to check in as often as she can with her fellow sages on the happenings around some of Hyrule's most prominent locales. Saria, Darunia, Nabooru, Rauru, and Ruto she kept in touch with through telepathy. Impa, of course, was always by Zelda's side as her protector. But of all the sages, Ruto was the one she had the most trouble communicating with. Most times she would not respond to her requests, and during times when the two did get in touch, she didn't sound too much in a communcating mood, just saying that everything is fine in Zora's Domain before she would sign off.
It was finally the start of this day where Zelda felt concerned for her friend. After all, it was Rauru who taught her at a young age when she was starting to gain her sage powers that you always have to look out for your fellow sages. She was deep in thought about Ruto. So much that she didn't notice Impa sneaking up on her.
"Something is on your mind." Impa said. Zelda jumped upon hearing that voice, quickly turning around and seeing Impa.
"Oh... Impa. You gotta stop scaring me like that!" Zelda shouted.
"Forgive me, princess, but you know how I am." Impa said.
"Yes, I do." Zelda said, nodding with that statement.
"Now then, I know something is on your mind." Impa said.
"It's Ruto. She didn't seem too happy once again when I tried to communicate with her." Zelda said.
"Another bad day for her, I guess." Impa said.
"That's too many bad days to speak of. I just know something is bothering her." Zelda said.
"Perhaps we should pay a visit with her and make sure everything is all right." Impa said.
"I've tried, but King Zora every time says she is either not there or not in the mood." Zelda said.
"Well, in any case, Link is here." Impa said.
"Thank you, Impa. You may send him in." Zelda said. As Impa left the room, Zelda got back to pacing around her own bedroom, but she stopped when she saw Link entering the room.

"Link, I'm so glad you came." Zelda said.
"Yeah, well... how can you refuse an invitation to meet the princess of all Hyrule?" Link said.
"Yes, you're right. Listen, Link, I have to ask you something important." Zelda said.
"Anything." Link said.
"When was the last time you spoke with Princess Ruto?" Zelda asked. Link's eyebrows lifted up upon hearing that name. He can still remember that one day many years ago when she promised to marry him. Of course, he never took the proposal seriously.
"Well... it's been a while. Why?" Link asked.
"I truly feel something is bothering her, but she won't tell me what it is. You've spent time with her, right?" Zelda asked.
"Maybe a little too much time..." Link muttered underneath his breath.
"I'm sorry?" Zelda asked.
"I mean, yes. Yes, I've been around her often. I just..." Link said.
"Just what?" Zelda said.
"I'm just worried what she'll think when she sees me again. She's been kind of upset with me ever since I gave back her sapphire." Link said.
"Link, you made the right decision. The jewels should be protected by their original owners if we are to ensure the safety of the Door of Time." Zelda said.
"I know. I'm just worried she's not willing to accept that responsibility." Link said.
"Well, I think you should talk to her. I haven't been able to talk some sense into her. Maybe you can." Zelda said.
"(sigh) Okay, but I'll probably be all wet by the time I get back." Link said. Knowing full well what he was talking about, Zelda let out a laugh.
"Oh, don't be silly. Didn't you sleep in the mud once upon a time?" Zelda asked.
"Not very often. At least I had a bed in Kokiri Forest." Link said, smiling as he walked out the door and began to make his way for Zora's Domain, where Ruto lived.

Zora's Domain

Inside Zora's Domain, it was bustling with activity. Many of the Zora were swimming around, interacting with some of the creatures inside (mostly fish anyway). There was one person, however, who wasn't doing much except walk around with an unhappy look on her face. That, of course, was Princess Ruto. She wasn't even in a talkative mood.
"Hey, Ruto! How's it going?" one of the Zoras shouted. But Ruto did not respond. Instead she just kept on walking, finally reaching her room.
"For the love of Hyrule, it's been 10 years!!! We should've been married by now, but that's clearly far from his mind!" Ruto shouted. Then she looked to see her father, King Zora, entering the room.
"Ruto, my dearest daughter, is something wrong?" King Zora said.
"(sigh) The man of my life still does not want to commit to our marriage, it seems. I've been waiting almost a decade, but all Link ever does is say hi and then move on." Ruto said.
"Well, surely you must give him some time. Perhaps he is not ready to live the life of love." King Zora said.
"What do you know? He accepted Zora's Sapphire, until of course he foolishly gave it back a short while later. It's been like that for ten whole years!" Ruto shouted.
"Ruto, please... you mustn't act this way, not while you are still the princess of the Zora kingdom! And besides, what if he may be seeing someone else, like Princess Zelda perhaps?" King Zora said. Ruto now was furious. The king could tell just by looking in her eyes.
"Dammit! He IS the right man for me! Don't you dare try to pick another husband for me! I'm old enough to know where Jabu-Jabu keeps his stomach acid." Ruto said.
"Now you listen to me, young lady!" King Zora shouted.
"Whatever. I'm going to the Water Temple. Gotta make sure that's protected, right!?" Ruto shouted as she stormed out of her room. King Zora thought about yelling back, but knew it wouldn't do any good. Ruto dove into the water and took the secret tunnel that would lead her straight to Lake Hylia, where the Water Temple was located.

Just shortly after she left, King Zora left Ruto's room and could see Link walking towards him, shaking the water off himself.
"Oh, Link! Nice of you to visit... you're looking a little wet if I must say." King Zora said.
"You think? The only way I can get in is through that waterfall!" Link said.
"Well, you know us. Can't be too careful even with Ganondorf sealed away. So what brings you here?" King Zora asked.
"Zelda sent me here. We're both kinda wondering about Ruto. She hasn't been herself lately." Link said.
"Yes, this does not surprise me. Unfortunately, you are a little too late, I'm afraid. She just left to check on the Water Temple, naturally part of her duties as the Water Sage." King Zora said.
"I see. Well, I'll just go find her there. Thanks." Link said.
"Anytime!" King Zora said. He reached down to give Link a pat on the back, but patted him a little too hard and knocked him into the water.
"Oops... do forgive me!" King Zora shouted. Link just ignored him as he spit out the water and swam his way out. He noticed the tunnel on his way down, but did not bring his Blue Tunic, which would've allowed him to breathe underwater. So he would have to take the long way to get to Lake Hylia. After pulling out his ocarina and playing Epona's Song, Link jumped on his faithful horse and was on his way to the lake.

Ruto wasted no time in getting inside the fully submerged Water Temple and scanning as much of the place as she could. She wanted to get back to her room in Zora's Domain and get back to sulking over Link almost ignoring her in favor of Princess Zelda, as her father suggested.
"Arrrrgh... maybe my father is right. Maybe he does see something in that pretty little princess. I'd just love to get my hands on him and show him a thing or two!" Ruto shouted to herself. She kicked a pebble that was resting by her feet, and obviously it didn't get very far because of the water pressure inside the temple. But something did catch Ruto's eye as she watched the pebble drag along. There was a corridor down one of the halls that had a bright light eminating outwards.
"Huh? What's this?" Ruto said to herself. She made her way down the hall, in a graceful swim using her fins, and approached this corridor. The light from the room was lighting up almost every corner of the room. She looked and saw a lonely pedestal in the middle of this room, and sitting on top of this pedestal was a sky blue-colored orb.
"What in the name of Hyrule is this?" Ruto asked herself. Just then, she could feel something pulsing around her body. She quickly figured it to be her family jewel, and one of the keys to the Master Sword, Zora's Sapphire. She summoned it and looked as the three blue diamonds on the jewel were glowing as brightly as the orb in the center of the room.
"There's something about that orb that's reacting with Zora's Sapphire." Ruto said. She finally decided to approach the orb itself that was on the pedestal, with the sapphire floating next to her. Her fingers touched the orb and it strangely it rippled like water. But then came the shocking part for Ruto. The orb went flying upwards and it then collided with Zora's Sapphire, essentially giving it a fourth jewel right in the center. And then Zora's Sapphire itself glowed brightly, and a powerful force kicked Ruto out of the room.
"Whoa!" she shouted, bumping against a wall and knocking her down. When she got back up, she could feel the power of Zora's Sapphire back in her body and no longer visible in the room.
"Goodness... what was all that about!?" Ruto said. But quickly soonafter, she felt another change in her body. Not only that, but she looked around her. The water level seemed to be lowering.
The water level lowering inside the Water Temple? Something definitely didn't add up. Next, there was the issue of the tingling sensation she was feeling. Ruto looked around her body... it felt like water was splashing into her, like she was jumping into a large pool. But that feeling was not going away. That's when she finally looked down at her ankles, and then her knees, and even up to her hands. She could clearly see it... she was taking in the water. It would seem that the water level was lowering because she was actually taking in the water!
"What the? The water... it feels like it's going inside... OW!!!" Ruto started to say until she felt her head bumping against something. Looking up, it was the ceiling. Ruto finally did the math.

She was getting bigger.

She crouched down but quickly found herself trapped within the tight hallway. She hoped that this strange growth spurt would stop soon, but the Water Temple was filled with so much water that the growing was probably going to go on for a while. Finally, though, the temple itself could not contain the might of a growing water princess like Ruto, and the walls and ceiling began to crumble apart.

As Link approached Lake Hylia, he looked to see the local fisherman sitting by the lake with fishing pole in hand.
"Well, howdy there! Nice to see you again!" the fisherman said.
"Yeah, you too, fisherman." Link said.
"So what brings ya here? You up for a fishing competition again? I hear the sea bass are really biting today!" the fisherman said.
"Maybe later. I'm looking for someone. Have you seen a... well, a blue-skinned woman with fins attached to her?" Link said, trying to find the best way to describe Ruto to the fisherman, who was like every other regular human being around Hyrule.
"Eh? You got fish in your ear or something? I haven't the darndest what you're talking about!" the fisherman shouted. Shortly thereafter, the ground began to shake a good bit, like there was an earthquake.
"Good heavens! It's an earthquake!" the fisherman shouted as he struggled to keep himself still. Link was knocked to the ground, but he was still able to look out in the distance at all of Lake Hylia. He was setting his sights on the large island near the center of the lake, where the Water Temple was hiding underneath. The island was shaking much more vigorously and in fact was slowly starting to crumble apart, with water shooting up in the air like a geyser. Finally, the whole island simply exploded, along with the Water Temple itself! It was all replaced by the growing Ruto. Link gulped nervously as he was awestruck by the sight of the growing princess.
"Well... at least I found her." Link said to himself. The fisherman got his first look at the giantess as well and was immediately startled.
"Jeepers! That's one big fish!" the fisherman shouted.

Ruto opened her eyes after covering them to keep herself from seeing the Water Temple get destroyed by her growing body. She looked to see the upper half of her body sticking out from the lake, and she was still growing too.
"Oh man... when am I going to stop growing? Can't I just stop this thing!?" Ruto shouted. Just like that, she felt the growing stop. She could tell because the feeling of water entering her body (mostly her legs since the upper body was out of the lake) had stopped and she felt her normal self. But of course, the one thing that wasn't normal was Ruto's new size. She was really a giantess. She was probably somewhere between 100 and 200 feet tall. Ruto then suddenly thought of something.
"Hmmm... what if..." Ruto said. She thought hard, telling her brain to let the water back into her body. She succeeded, as the water from the lake went back to flowing inside her, causing her to grow again. She grew until the water was knee high.
"Okay, now stop." Ruto said to herself. Once again, she felt the flow of water being cut off. She then breathed a huge sigh of relief, unknowningly blowing Kaepora Gaebora out into the distance. She felt relieved to know that she could control when the water would enter her body.
"That's good that I can control this thing. Wouldn't want to take in every last bit of water from this lake." Ruto said out loud. With that, she finally took a look around, spinning her body in a full 360 degrees to get a good look at her new view of Lake Hylia. What especially got her attention was seeing the only two buildings on land, the Seaside Laboratory and the Fishing Center, as tiny as they were along with the rest of what little land there was in Lake Hylia. Ruto then let out a smile as she placed her hands on her hips.
"Hmmm... I could get to like this." Ruto said. Then she looked down at the land and noticed two tiny people looking up at her, one of them Link. Her smile turned into more of a grin now.
"Well, well... speak of the old whale. If it isn't my little husband-to-be." Ruto said, raising her voice on the word little.

Link was slowly backing away from the scene, not worrying about the little bit of Lake Hylia that was absorbed into Ruto. Even though she was several yards away, Ruto looked really big in his eyes. The fisherman was obviously backing away too.
"Dang... I think I hear a customer calling in the center! Good luck, youngster!" the fisherman shouted to Link before he dropped his fishing pole and rushed back for the Fishing Center. Just as he was doing that, Ruto took her first steps as a giantess, with every step leaving a booming sound even from the water. Her heavy body weight was pushing the water in the lake towards the land as it splashed forward. Link quickly turned his back and started to run away, taking about ten to fifteen steps before Ruto was already on top of him. Ruto reached down, with water dripping down from her hands, and plucked Link from the ground. He was heading for the sky so fast that he almost passed out just from the speed. Finally, though, Link was looking right at Ruto's huge face.
"Um... hi there, Princess Ruto. I'm just, y'know, checking in!" Link shouted.
"You're checking in, all right. Here I am holding the Hero of Time in the palm of my hand. Feels pretty good, don't you think?" Ruto asked.
"Well, I guess." Link said.
"So, I wonder how we're going to get married now. I'm too big to be your wife now." Ruto said.
"Look, Ruto, this is nice and all that, but don't you think you should find a way to shrink back to your normal size? Zelda's worried about you." Link said.
"Bleh... that's all I ever hear from you! Zelda this! Zelda that! What does she have that I don't!? And besides... I like being this big. I think I'll just stay this way." Ruto said.
"What!? Think of all the people you'll scare in Hyrule!" Link shouted.
"So? I'm a princess. They'll all learn to listen to me, as will you I'm sure. Even Zelda will learn to respect me." Ruto said. Link didn't know what to do now. It was obvious that Ruto was not going to listen to him, especially as big as she was. Just then, Link felt himself lowering. Was Ruto getting even bigger? Nope, something different was happening.

"Hey! I'm sinking!" Link shouted. Indeed, he seemed to be sinking down into Ruto's hand like it were made of quicksand. Amazingly enough, when Link tried to fight his way out, water was splashing all over Ruto's hand like it were a small pool. I say amazingly enough because even Ruto was impressed.
"Huh? What is this?" Ruto asked. She watched as Link kept on sinking until only his head was sticking out above the hand. Ruto took a finger from her other hand and lowered it towards that hand. It dipped into the 'water' as well.
"It must be another power from that orb. It can liquefy my body." Ruto said. Then she looked at Link and grinned once again.
"Well, legendary hero, you might as well enjoy a good swim while you're there!" Ruto said. She took that same finger and this time lowered it on top of Link.
"Wait... stop!!! Ruto!!!" Link shouted, but his head got stuffed by her finger (which was still solid) and he soon found himself covered by water, water from Ruto's hand. He got pushed all the way to the bottom and then noticed Ruto closing up her hands and trapping Link inside. Link tried with all his might to hold his breath, but he clearly couldn't do that much longer.
"Hahaha! This is so much fun! Huh? Wait..." Ruto said. As she watched Link swim around with very little room to spare, he let out his breath... and felt normal. He was breathing as if he was outside smelling the fresh air.
"Interesting, there must be oxygen circulating through my body even though it is made more of water right now." Ruto said to herself. She opened up her hand and allowed Link to come out of the water. As he coughed some of it out, he felt himself being lifted by Ruto again. This time, he stood solidly on her right shoulder.

"Well, that was interesting, wasn't it?" Ruto asked.
"(cough cough) I'll say... I could actually feel some oxygen in there. It was as if I had my Blue Tunic on!" Link said.
"That's good. Could you see the outside?" Ruto asked.
"A little bit. It was kinda fuzzy because you are surrounded by water, after all." Link said. Ruto nodded her head to acknowledge she was listening. These words were coming in handy, especially for the kind of plans she had in mind for when she would capture Princess Zelda. And speaking of which, Ruto looked way out in the distance of Hyrule Field to find Hyrule Castle. That wicked grin came back upon looking at that castle.
"Good job, my little husband. You've been so useful I think I'll keep you inside me." Ruto said.
"Wait... what!?" Link shouted. Just then, he could feel himself sinking again, this time into her shoulder as she liquefied herself again. When he was fully submerged, Ruto quickly went back to a solid body. She smiled knowing that Link would be safe inside, no doubt swimming all around her body until she liquefied herself again.
"Now then... it's time I visited the Hyrule Marketplace. It's been too quiet there lately." Ruto said with a smile. She then started walking again, with puddles of water being left behind each step she took. She was now out of Lake Hylia and into Hyrule Field, heading for Hyrule Castle and Princess Zelda.

Hyrule Field

The postman continued on his full-on sprint, even though he was shuffling through his bag full of letters to various people in Hyrule. He didn't care that he wasn't watching where he was going, because if he stopped for even one nanosecond, he would be considered late, and being considered late for any kind of delivery was absolutely unacceptable to him.
"So many letters, so little time! I must not stop in my quest to deliver the mail on time!" the postman shouted. Just then, he slammed into what felt like a brick wall as he fell backwards, with letters flying all over the grassy grounds.
"Ouch! What is the meaning of this!? I'll have you know that tampering with the mail is..." the postman shouted, but he had to stop when he looked to see what kind of wall it was he ran into. It wasn't a wall at all, but a huge blue foot! Naturally, that foot belonged to the giant Ruto as she glared down at the tiny postman.
"Is what? A huge offense?" Ruto said sarcastically.
"Um... yeah, but in your case, I'll consider it a tiny little offense!" the postman shouted. The postman now didn't care about the mail he had lost. He started running like mad away from the giantess. Ruto smiled as she watched the postman run for his life.
"Yep, it's official. I really like this." Ruto said as she scanned much of Hyrule Field. It was still pretty big, but definitely a lot smaller than what she was used to. She felt pretty huge given the fact that there was no structure for a wide area that was as big as she was. She also noticed a few other people who were running away after they noticed her as well. Ruto quickly got back to walking through the field, leaving behind large drops of water. During her journey, she walked very close to the Lon Lon Ranch. She glanced down to see how small it looked, but that was about it since her real target was Hyrule Castle.

Malon was busy feeding the horses when she could hear the stomping sounds getting progressively louder by the second. It was then she turned around and gasped, but didn't move an inch, when she looked way up and saw the giant water princess walking by. She felt terrified when she saw Ruto look down at her, but quickly was relieved when Ruto instead made the left turn towards the Hyrule Marketplace. Then she shook her head and wiped the sweat off her forehead.
"Maybe Daddy's right. Maybe I have been workin' too hard." Malon said to herself before she went back to feeding Epona.

Hyrule Castle grounds

It didn't take long for everyone in the Hyrule Marketplace to stop what they were doing and look up in awe at the giant Princess Ruto. Ruto easily stepped over the castle walls where the drawbridge would normally be up during the night, and she glanced down looking around the marketplace as some people were already running away while others just looked up in awe. Ruto smiled and then broke out a small laugh that echoed in the skies.
"That's right, little people. Run away! There's a big girl in town." Ruto said. She took very small steps, which weren't very small to the normal people, just to intimidate as many of them as she could. She even held a finger out and sprayed a little water inside some of the buildings, flushing out everyone inside. She had to let out a smile when she could see herself towering alongside the Temple of Time. But then she looked over at Hyrule Castle and remembered why she was here to begin with.
"Now to get to Princess Zelda." Ruto said as she walked away from the Marketplace and towards the castle.
Sure enough, it didn't take her long to reach the sacred grounds of Hyrule Castle. Ruto kicked the gate away with relative ease, though as she did that, a platoon of castle guards were charging towards her. Naturally, they were no threat to her as big as she was. She chuckled as she watched the guards poke her with their spears and arrows in the ankles with little to no success.
"I never did like her puny, little guards." Ruto said out loud before she raised her foot and stomped each and every guard dead. With them out of the way, she continued her march towards the castle. With no windows to see where Zelda might be, she decided to walk towards the back of the castle where her open-roof garden would be. It's a good thing she listened to Link when he told the story of how he snuck into the castle at a young age.

Meanwhile, inside the castle, Zelda and Impa were indeed in the garden. They had noticed from afar the giant threat that was Princess Ruto, with Zelda retreating to the garden while Impa insisted that they leave the castle.
"Princess Zelda, we must leave this place at once! It is not safe here!" Impa said.
"No! We have to find out what's wrong with Ruto!" Zelda shouted.
"But how can we be sure this is the same Ruto? Something clearly is not right." Impa said.
"It can't be... She knows all too well her duties as a sage!" Zelda shouted, once again remaining insistent on staying. Just then, the booming sounds could clearly be heard, and a huge shadow covered up most of the garden. Ruto had arrived.
"Peek-a-boo! I see you, little Princess Zelda!" Ruto said. She squirted some water from her fingers to knock Impa down to the ground, and then she reached down and grabbed Zelda, wrapping her fingers around her and getting a good grip on her.
"Eeeeeeek!!! Help me!!!" Zelda shouted as she could feel herself being raised into the air. She was now looking at nothing but Ruto's huge face.
"What do you think, Zelda? I think this new size fits me like high tide!" Ruto said.
"Ruto, why are you doing this!?" Zelda shouted. Down below, Impa was slowly regaining consciousness. She looked up as Ruto was holding onto Zelda.
"Isn't it obvious, little sweetie? I want my man back!" Ruto said.
"Your man? What are you talking about!?" Zelda shouted.
"Y'know... green tunic, green hat. Saves the world, I hear." Ruto said.
"Huh? You mean Link? But..." Zelda said.
"It doesn't matter. He's safe inside me now. And besides, even if I weren't interested in him, Hyrule's boring. I'm just spicing things up a little." Ruto said. Impa ran towards Ruto's feet to attempt and strike her.
"Release the princess!" Impa shouted. Ruto noticed her and smirked. She very quickly pulled her foot back and kicked Impa, sending her flying back to one of the walls and knocking her unconscious again.
"Really... that kind of logic's gonna work on me?" Ruto said.
"Impa!!! You monster! There will be consequences, I promise you!" Zelda shouted.
"Yeah? How are you going to punish me when you won't be able to?" Ruto said. Just then, Zelda could feel herself sinking inside Ruto's hand in the exact same fashion that Link ended up in Ruto's body.
"What... what's happening? What are you doing to me!?" Zelda said as she tried to get answers before she would be completely covered in water.
"Don't worry, little miss Zelda. You'll be seeing your precious little man very soon." Ruto said.
"No! No!!! Stop, Ruto!!!!" Zelda shouted, begging for mercy, but she was now completely inside Ruto. Like Link before, Zelda was able to breathe safely with all the oxygen generated inside Ruto's body. She was simply lost in a world of water. Ruto looked down and noticed Impa still lying on the ground as well.
"Hmmm... it won't be good if she stuck around." Ruto said. That's when she picked Impa and also absorbed her into her body.

Now it was empty around the Hyrule Castle grounds, save for the few guards that continued to fight in vain against the giantess. Ruto didn't seem to notice these guards as she turned around and looked down at another moat that rested beside the castle. It had plenty of water in it, and that got Ruto thinking back to when she first grew using the water from Lake Hylia. She glanced back at Hyrule Castle, comparing herself to the structure for the first time. At her current height of around 125 feet tall, she was about a head taller than the very top of the castle.
"There's nothing bigger as far as buildings go than Hyrule Castle. I better show these people who's really in charge." Ruto said out loud. She knew, with the castle easy to see from the marketplace, that most people (those that still chose to stay behind) would be able to see her pull off her next move. Ruto dipped her feet into this moat and could feel the cool water flowing inside her. It felt very good to her as she moaned softly in comfort. As she did that, Ruto grew again. Naturally, the tiny people of the Hyrule Marketplace watched with mixed feelings, mostly that of fear, as they watched the water princess get bigger and bigger.
Finally, when Ruto felt she was big enough, she stepped out of the water and back on solid ground. Before, she was only a head taller than Hyrule Castle. Now Ruto was twice its size. She smiled as she admired her new height, somewhere around 250 to 300 feet tall.
"Oh wow... now I'm really having fun!" Ruto said. She thought about putting her feet back into the water to grow some more, but thought better of it.
"No, I better save it for later. Who knows if I want to play with those little bugs..." Ruto said to herself. She wondered now what she could do next as big as she was. Thinking back to how she absorbed Link, Zelda, and then Impa into her watery body, she thought about how cool it would be to capture the other sages.
"Let's see, I've captured Zelda and Impa. That old man Rauru is never around when you need him. And of course I'm the biggest one of them all. That leaves Saria, Darunia, and Nabooru." Ruto said. She quickly thought of Darunia, which led her to think about the Goron tribe, and then Biggoron, previously the biggest living thing in all of Hyrule... and then of course Death Mountain itself. It all added up.
"I'd just love to see Biggoron's face now. And maybe I'll play around in Kakariko Village along the way." Ruto said. With all that planned out, she started walking again. As big as she was, she simply plowed through Hyrule Marketplace, easily crushing probably half of the place by the time she walked through the castle walls and was back in Hyrule Field.

Kakariko Village

Ruto stepped confidently up the hill where Kakariko Village rested. She watched as just like with Hyrule Marketplace, everybody ran like mad for whatever cover they could find. It was music to her ears when one woman in particular (Anju, the chicken lady to be exact) screamed the word 'giant!' before running towards the graveyard.
"Yes. A giantess. That's what I am, little people. So get used to it, or I won't play nice!" Ruto said. She took one big step and crushed an entire house flat just to demonstrate her power. There was no resisting the temptation, not when she was nearly 300 feet tall, yet she started to walk a bit more cautiously, like she was making sure she didn't spoil herself too quickly. Her huge fins knocked the lookout tower off its foundation, and it crashed down into a couple of the shops in the village, namely the Potion Shop.

Ruto then set her sights on the windmill, one of the easiest things to see in the village aside from Death Mountain. Naturally, being as big as she was, the windmill looked quite small. That didn't stop Ruto from pondering about her next game.
"I wonder how fast I can make this cranky thing spin." Ruto said. So she grabbed one of the blades and flung it to the right. The blades were turning very rapidly now, almost as fast as an electric fan on low speed. Ruto had to laugh when she noticed the man from inside the windmill, the one notorious for his music box and getting very angry when it rains, flying right out of the building. Finally, one of the blades broke off and landed right next to her feet.
"Heh, I guess not very fast." Ruto said. Just then, Ruto could feel a rumble in the ground. It shook everyone except her down to the ground, and Ruto looked up to see why.
"Death Mountain! It's erupting again!" Ruto said. Indeed, the mountain had blown its top and lava was now slowly trickling down the mountain towards the village! Ruto looked at the lava and also the rest of the village around her feet.
"It won't be any fun if this village is melted to the ground." Ruto said, so she walked to the base of Death Mountain, where she could see the lava coming. Then she held her hands together and fired a blast of water towards the lava, cooling it off to the point where it froze up into solid rock. Then she fired the water blast up at the mountain itself, stopping any more lava from leaking out as a ton of steam came out in its place.
"Whew... that was close." Ruto said. Just then, she looked back at the village and noticed some of the people applauding up at her.
"Oh great goddess... thank you for saving our village!" one man shouted.
"How can you thank her for what she did!? Didn't you see her crush that house back there? And tear the windmill up!?" one woman shouted. Ruto kinda expected the difference in opinion, and she smiled.
"Well, I just didn't want to see a whole village get burned. If it makes you feel better, I shall leave now." Ruto said. She was right. She did just save everyone from a fiery death. The least she could do was take her fun and games as a giantess somewhere else. She would think of that somewhere else while she was in Hyrule Field.

Just before she could leave the village, however, she looked down at the entrance and noticed a group of Gorons and Gerudos coming up the steps. Key figures among the group included Darunia, Nabooru, and even Biggoron, who clearly was no match for Ruto as far as size went now. Everyone stopped when they got up to the giant water princess's feet.
"What is the meaning of this!?" Darunia shouted.
"Now that's one big fish!" Nabooru said. Biggoron was walking up to Ruto to compare himself with the giantess. He was about knee high to her.
"Awww... guess I'm no longer the biggest person in all of Hyrule." Biggoron said. He was known as a gentle giant, so he never held grudges against people he didn't like.
"You guessed right, little Goron." Ruto said as she lightly bumped him back with her knee.
"What happened to Death Mountain? I was quickly on my way back here when I heard the mountain erupted and lava was leaking down to the village!" Darunia shouted.
"Yeah, you can hear that thing blow all the way out in the desert!" Nabooru shouted.
"Yeah, I could see it blow too. Luckily I cooled off that lava using my powers... naturally." Ruto said.
"Impressive! Everyone in the village owes you their gratitude!" Darunia shouted.
"So how did you get that big, anyway!?" Nabooru shouted.
"Oh... that's my big secret. Listen, can I talk with the two of you, sage to sage? Without your armies, I mean." Ruto said.
"Return to your posts, ladies!" Nabooru shouted to her fellow Gerudos.
"Alright, boys, we did good with the delegate meeting today. Back to the mountain with all of you, I shall join you shortly. Biggoron, I guess you're in charge of mountain cleanup again." Darunia said. Biggoron nodded as he walked past the huge Ruto and led the Gorons back up Death Mountain. Ruto gently picked up both Darunia and Nabooru and held them in her hands, just where she wanted them.
"So what's up... aside from you, anyway." Nabooru asked.
"Yeah, I think this does require a bit of explanation." Darunia said. Ruto just shook her head.
"There's nothing to explain, really. And that's why I can't let you go." Ruto said. She very quickly closed her hands together, and just like that, they were gone. Turns out they too were inside her as well, much like Link, Zelda, and Impa.

Ruto breathed a sigh of relief, knowing that she now had four of the other six sages inside her. She knew Rauru was out of reach, so there was one more target.
"Onto Kokiri Forest... gotta remember there are children there." Ruto said. She stepped away from Kakariko Village and made her way towards the Kokiri Forest.

Inside Ruto's body

Meanwhile, inside Ruto's watery body, Nabooru and Darunia were sliding through the tunnel that was actually one of Ruto's arms. It felt like a water slide as quickly as they were heading towards the open water area that was the center of Ruto's body. Neither of them were accustomed much to swimming, especially Darunia as heavy as he was.
"Ack! Help! I can't swim!!! I don't even know what swimming feels like!" Darunia shouted as he scrambled like crazy to float at the same level that Nabooru was floating at. Nabooru tried to hold onto Darunia, but he was only dragging her down.
"You think you can't swim!? For crying out loud, lose some weight, you oaf!!" Nabooru shouted. Just then, a flash of light encased the two sages in a bubble as it rose up a few feet.
"Yeah! I've been saved by a... well, a bubble!" Darunia said. Nabooru was the first to notice three more people heading in her direction. It was Link, Zelda, and Impa, all encased in the same bubbles.
"Nabooru! Are you okay?" Zelda asked.
"Oh sure... considering I've been on a wild water ride for the past few seconds! How is it that we could even breathe in here?" Nabooru asked.
"Hey, yeah! I didn't realize that... through all that, I was breathing like I would in a Goron's hot tub!" Darunia shouted.
"It seems Ruto has infused her body with oxygen, thereby allowing us to breathe safely." Impa said.
"Although all this water inside made it very tough to swim around, so I created these bubbles to help us out." Zelda said.
"We should be lucky. Ruto wants to keep us all alive for now." Link said.
"Yeah, but how will we get out of here!? She's probably stomping all over Hyrule by now." Nabooru asked.
"No kidding! Biggoron came up to her knees! She was that big!" Darunia shouted.
"She's that big? She must have the power to grow even bigger." Zelda said.
"Probably by taking in more water. I saw it myself back in Lake Hylia." Link said.
"We must be patient. An opportunity will arise soon." Impa said.
"Damn it... I hate it when she talks like that." Nabooru grumbled.
"She's right. If she's bringing only us sages together, then perhaps then we'll have a chance to escape." Zelda said.
"Until then, we can't do much but admire the water." Link said.
"Oh don't worry... that won't be hard to do." Nabooru said, noting the scenery around her and the other characters. Indeed, there was nothing but water and a faint light from outside.

Kokiri Forest

Kokiri Forest a very small part of Hyrule, so Ruto easily towered over it as she stepped into the village part of the forest, where all the kids lived and played. But rather than running away and ducking to safety, many of the kids stuck around and looked way up at the giantess, fascinated more than frightened that something much bigger than even the long dead Great Deku Tree would step into their neck of the woods. Ruto just smiled and looked down at these kids.
"You are all very brave. Surely I would run away if someone as big and strong as myself showed up." Ruto said. She wanted very much to reward these kids somehow rather than terrify them like she had been doing through the rest of Hyrule Field. And she thought of just the thing.

Ruto gently got down on her knees and finally laid down on her back, looking straight up at the clear blue sky. She rested her head in the small pond that was in the village, although the water remained in that pond for the time being. Ruto ended crushing a couple of the huts with her arms, but it couldn't be helped considering her huge body took up a large portion of the village. She thought if this wasn't enough to get Saria's attention, what would?
"Alright, you little brats! Start climbing!" Ruto shouted. The children, less than ten of them, did not waste any time as they all climbed up the giantess. Eventually all the kids were on top of either her legs, her stomach, or her chest. The kids on her legs were running up and down them, no doubt trying to figure out how fast they could get from top to bottom. The kids on her stomach were chasing each other around the area. It was such a huge area, nobody had any worry of falling off. Not that Ruto noticed because she was busy looking up at the sky feeling the movement of the kids. Finally, the kids on top of her chest were chasing each other also, but a couple were bouncing up and down the boobs like trampolines.
All the while, Ruto finally allowed every last drop of water in the aforementioned pond to enter her body through her head. The water probably added at least 50 more feet in height, pushing her over the 300-foot-tall mark. It felt like a ride for the children as many of them watched Ruto suddenly expand beneath them. Ruto finally looked at the kids on her chest and then the ones on her stomach (kind of a tough chore as big as her chest was).
"Would you all care for a swim?" Ruto said. Then, with a magical touch, her entire stomach was now essentially a swimming pool as the kids simply dropped into the water with a splash. But unlike with the sages she has captured so far, her watery body wasn't fully exposed, allowing the kids to stay outside her as well as letting them swim safely without fear of drowning. Ruto was enjoying the scene playing out over her body, not to mention the fact she was feeling extremely comfortable. That's when she moved her hands behind her head and rested on top of them.
"Now this is definitely the life." Ruto said.

A few seconds later, Ruto could hear someone calling her name. It was obviously a normal-sized person shouting her name judging by the low volume of that voice. Ruto tilted her head back, and even though she was looking upside-down at the Great Deku Tree, there was no mistaking who was standing just a few yards away from her eyes. Everyone in the forest knew Saria by her green hair, and they learned to respect her especially since she was the sage of the forest. She was the one, after all, who got Mido to stop bullying everybody.
"Princess Ruto! What is going on here?" Saria shouted. Ruto picked that up and smiled.
"Letting the kids have some fun, what else?" Ruto said.
"You release my friends right now!" Saria said.
"Sheesh... all right, all right. No need to get pushy." Ruto said. She gently picked up each and every child, one by one (including the ones swimming around her stomach area), and placed them in her left hand, lowering it down to Saria and dropping the kids next to her. Ruto then turned her whole body around, shaking the ground quite a bit as she shifted her weight, until she was laying on her stomach this time. She rested her head over her arms (crushing a hut or two with her elbows in the process) as she looked right down at Saria now.
"There, your precious kids are safe. You happy now?" Ruto asked.
"Yes... but what about you? How is it that you are so huge and what are you doing here anyway?" Saria asked. She may have looked like a young girl, but she was as wise and powerful as the other sages.
"Well, Hyrule was getting kinda boring, so I'm experimenting with going anywhere I want to being this big. And I wanted to see you is the reason I came here." Ruto said.
"Me? What do you need with me?" Saria asked.
"I need you to complete my collection." Ruto said.
"What collection?" Saria asked.
"Of sages, what else?" Ruto said. She moved her arm once again to reach down and grab Saria. The Kokiri girl didn't have a chance to react as she was trapped in Ruto's hand.
"Wait... no! Please don't hurt me!!!" Saria shouted. Ruto wasted no time in liquifying her hand and watching Saria sink inside to join the other four sages she had captured, along with Link. Ruto looked down noticing some of the kids were still around having watched the whole ordeal.
"Don't worry, Saria will be fine. She's just gonna be riding inside me for a little while. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go play in some other lands." Ruto said as she slowly got back to her feet, standing back up at her full height and brushing the grass she got from the forest off her legs. Then she turned around and walked away from Kokiri Forest.

Ruto now wondered what she could do now. As she alluded to earlier in her mind, Rauru was nowhere to be found in Hyrule. It would take a major catastrophe to lure him out of the Chamber of the Sages, one on an almost Ganondorf-like scale. But an idea quickly hit Ruto afterwards.
"(sigh) I'll just have to wait until he shows up. But hey, I don't think I've shown Daddy this new size yet." Ruto said. She was right. She had not ventured once to the Zora's Domain ever since growing to this huge size. Thinking about that made her grin almost ear-to-ear, especially when she also thought of how much water was stored in that part of Hyrule.
"I can't wait to give him a piece of my mind!" Ruto said to herself. She then set off towards the Zora's Domain.

Zora's Domain

It didn't take long at all for Ruto to set foot on the sacred grounds of the Zora tribe. She easily crushed the few straggling Octoroks that remained in the area following Ganondorf's banishment. She stopped and looked down at the domain itself, and of course behind that domain was Zora's Fountain, where the seemingly endless supply of the Zora's water flowed in. Of course, the fountain was also the home of the gigantic royal fish of the Zora tribe, Jabu-Jabu. Ruto had to let a smile looking at how much smaller Jabu-Jabu was. Before, it was big enough to devour Ruto easily. Now it probably couldn't even swallow a foot from Ruto. But more on that later, she wanted to pay a visit with her father. She first tried knocking on the mountain where the Zoras resided.
"Oh Daddy!!! I have something to show you!" Ruto shouted. A few seconds passed, and the waterfall didn't stop flowing, which told Ruto that nobody was answering the door.
"He's probably slouching again. Well, I guess I better wake him up." Ruto said to herself. That's when she did the almost unthinkable by punching a hole into the mountain! Right away she got a good glimpse of the inside of Zora's Domain, looking down at all the Zoras who were looking shocked at seeing their princess so huge. She glared right down at her people.
"Don't just stand there! Get the king down here at once!!!" Ruto shouted, sounding very much like a commanding officer during a field battle in Hyrule. A couple of the Zoras immediately climbed out of the water and ran up the steps that led to the throne room. Ruto stood by, tapping her foot impatiently down by the river. Soon, King Zora came walking down the steps behind the same Zoras, and naturally, he was stunned to see his much bigger daughter.

"So, what do you think, Daddy?" Ruto asked. She spun her body around, striking the outside of the exposed mountain with her fins and giving everyone inside quite the scare. King Zora, as he was now being picked up by the giantess, examined Ruto's neck and could see what she was wearing.
"Oh no... you didn't find the Special Orb of the Zoras inside the Water Temple, did you?" King Zora said.
"I sure did. This is the greatest thing that has ever happened to me!" Ruto said as she gingerly held her father in her hands.
"That was one of our most legendary treasures! A few years ago, while the Hero of Time was still sleeping and leaving us to help battle for the good of Hyrule, we came with a way to help combat against Ganondorf's evil army. We created the Special Orb of the Zoras, which allows anyone who touches it to grow to giant size, and can grow bigger if he or she wishes by taking water into their body. And when we were done using the orb, its powers would help undo any unintentional damage done by the user." King Zora said.
"Sounds interesting." Ruto said.
"Yes, and that's why we hid it deep within the Water Temple. Before we could take advantage of its powers, most of our army had been defeated. And we didn't want you to discover the orb, because you surely would abuse its power!" King Zora shouted.
"Well now, I would hardly call this abusing the power, if you ask me!" Ruto said with a smile.
"My daughter, you must destroy that orb at once! It has clouded your judgment as a sage of Hyrule!" King Zora said.
"Bleh! Forget it! I'm tired of people like you telling me what I should do with my life! I'm taking matters into my own hands from now on. In fact, just to make sure you don't go running for help..." Ruto said. She liquefied her hands once again, causing King Zora to sink into her body. Ruto tilted her hand upwards to make sure King Zora would sink more towards her arms rather than just her hand. Despite being a Zora himself, the king's excess body weight made it a chore for him to swim. He had no chance to escape, and the Zoras down below all watched in great shock as King Zora disappeared into Ruto's body. Ruto looked down defiantly at her fellow Zoras.
"Let that be a lesson to anyone who defies the magnificent Princess Ruto!" Ruto said. With that, she hopped up the mountainside and was now standing over the Zora Fountain, the source of their entire water supply.

And it was a lot of water. Zora's Fountain was one of the biggest sources of water in all of Hyrule. While it wasn't as much as Lake Hylia, the deepness of the fountain helped make up for its small size. At the edge of the water rested Jabu-Jabu, the gigantic royal fish of the Zora tribe. Ruto was, in her mind, grinning from ear-to-ear. At her normal height, she was probably the size of a loose piece of seaweed compared to the massive creature. But now it was as long one of her feet. Ruto started to kneel down to have a chat with the sleeping Jabu-Jabu when a brilliant flash of light formed in front of her. The light was so bright, it knocked her back a couple steps. When the light dimmed out, another giantess in the form of a Great Fairy was standing in front of Ruto, about a full head shorter as far as height was concerned. She got the impression that all the great fairies in Hyrule had come together to form this one giant Great Fairy. Yet Ruto was not fazed. In fact, she let out a quote I'm sure all of us have been thinking since 1998.
"You still look as ugly as ever." Ruto said, folding her arms together.
"Giant one... we will stop your madness with our magical spells!" the giant Great Fairy said. The fairy suddenly put her hands together as energy waves flowed around them. After a few seconds, the fairy flung her hands towards the air, and another flash of bright light ensued. When the flash was gone, however, nothing had changed. The giant fairy had a stunned look on her face.
"Impossible!!! How could the shrinking spell fail!?" the giant Great Fairy exclaimed.
"Honestly, I don't have time to waste on you." Ruto said. Just then, she raised her hands into the air, and a massive tidal wave suddenly came storming towards the giant fairy. The fairy frantically tried to cast a spell, but by the time she said the magic chant, the tidal wave had struck her. The force of the wave had split the giant fairy back into individual Great Fairies, all of them scattered around Ruto's feet.
"I look pretty big now, don't I?" Ruto said. She raised her foot and crushed every last one of the fairies into dust. With that huge threat settled, Ruto glanced over at all the water in the fountain and quickly knew what she had to do.
"There will probably be more giant things out there trying to get me. Time for me to show them all who is boss." Ruto said to herself. She confidently stepped into the water and opened up her legs to allow the water to gush into her body. In an instant, Ruto began growing once again, this time at a much faster rate than normal. It only took her a few seconds to double her previous size, yet she continued growing bigger and bigger. All of Hyrule could no doubt see the giant Ruto as big as she was getting.

Finally, noticing the fountain was halfway drained, she decided enough was enough and stopped growing. Ruto was now exactly 900 feet tall, about three times bigger than she was before. Ruto figured that about knee level was how big she was before, and then she laughed.
"Hahahaha!!! I must be as big as the goddesses who created this tiny land!" Ruto said. She looked down and could see Jabu-Jabu slowly swimming around, now awake from the turn of events that just happened. Ruto smiled and picked up the once huge fish with her two fingers.
"Hello, Jabu-Jabu. Don't be scared, it's just me. Princess Ruto!" Ruto said to the fish. She then smiled and said to the creature, "Don't worry. I will put you in a much safer place."
With that, Ruto opened her mouth wide and simply dropped Jabu-Jabu inside, swallowing it like it was a mere piece of shrimp. Ruto rubbed her stomach happily.
"Now then, I think I'll go see how much smaller Hyrule Castle is now." Ruto said as she stepped down from Zora's Fountain and left her home. With every step that the mega-sized Ruto took, it sounded like a bomb going off. And the destruction she left behind felt the same way, like a bomb had just blasted that area to bits.

On her way to the Hyrule Marketplace, Ruto made sure to step as close as she could to Lon Lon Ranch. She was so big she could've easily crushed the entire ranch with one foot. It brought a smile to her face seeing something that tiny in her eyes.

Inside Ruto's body

Back inside Ruto's now bigger body, King Zora was swimming frantically to stay afloat, even with all the oxygen inside that kept everyone alive. As mentioned before, King Zora's bulky body couldn't allow him to swim as gracefully as the tribe he swore to protect. Luckily, he was saved when Princess Zelda encased him in his own magic bubble, the same one that allowed herself, Link, and the other four sages to move freely in the water.
"Whew... thank you, Princess Zelda. I'd be alright if it weren't for these old sea legs." King Zora said.
"It's okay, King Zora. It was the least I could do." Zelda said.
"Great, so she absorbed you too? Now who can stop her!?" Nabooru shouted.
"Nabooru is right, I fear. We may be in for a tough fight." Impa said.
"Listen, everyone! We can't give up! There must be a way to get out of here and reverse
"We're going to need all the sages we can. I must try to telepathically contact Rauru." Zelda said.
"Um... hello!? What can that old geezer do to save us when Ruto is... I don't know, maybe 300 times bigger than he is!?" Nabooru said.
"Silly girl, you forget! When all of us sages are together, our magic is quite powerful! Powerful enough to seal Ganondorf ten times over!" Darunia said.
"Yes, and if Zelda is thinking what I am thinking..." Saria said.
"That's correct, Saria. Once Rauru is with us, we will have the power to stop Ruto even from inside her." Zelda said.
"That's great... but there's still the matter of returning her to her normal size." Link said.
"Oh, that is no problem! Ruto grew with the power of the Special Orb of the Zoras. All we have to do is shatter that orb, which is located on her sapphire, and she will shrink back to normal!" King Zora said. Just as he said that, everyone looked to see the already huge field of water that made up the inside of Ruto's body getting even bigger. While all this was going on, the events described above (mainly Ruto growing from within her fountain and then swallowing Jabu-Jabu).
"She must be absorbing more water, causing her to grow bigger." Link said.
"Alright, we must act now before all of Hyrule is at her feet! I will contact Rauru at once." Zelda said as she put her hands on her head to activate her telepathic link to Rauru.
"Ugh, I can't wait to see what kind of punishment Princess Zelda has in store for this big fish." Nabooru said.
"For once I agree with you, especially with all the damage she had no doubt caused." Impa said.
"Actually, I wouldn't worry about any structural damage she has caused." King Zora said.
"What do you mean, King Zora?" Link said.
"Well, there is one little secret about Special Orb of the Zoras. You see..." King Zora said as he got to work explaining what this secret was all about, causing everyone listening to breathe a sigh of relief.

Hyrule Castle

Despite some of the damage left behind by a much smaller (but still bigger) Princess Ruto back at the marketplace, that did not stop the very pretty Lulu from making the trip to Hyrule Castle. Lulu and her band, the Indigo-Gos, have traveled from Termina to perform in a concert tonight for Hyrule.
"So what songs are we playing tonight, Evan?" Tijo asked.
"Well, of course we have to play Ballad of the Wind Fish. I was also thinking maybe Dungeon, or Continue, Save, or Retry." Evan said.
"Dude, how about I Am Error?" Japas asked.
"Oh no! We are NOT playing I AM ERROR!!! I HATE that song!" Evan shouted, going off on one of his usual temper tantrums considering he is the leader of the band.
"I like Dull Blue. It's a very soft song that the people of Hyrule can enjoy." Lulu said.
"Hmmmm... yeah, I think we can go with that." Evan said.
"Haha! You are just saying that because you like Lulu so much..." Tijo said, but his voice was being muffled out by the slowly increasing sound of booms.
"What's that, Tijo? You're going to have to speak up... these explosions are giving me a migraine!" Evan shouted. Lulu was the first to stop walking along the path to Hyrule Castle to see where all that booming was coming from. That's when she looked up and saw the biggest set of toes imaginable heading for her!
"Eeeeek!!!" Lulu screamed.
"Duh, I got you, Lulu!" Japas shouted. He greatly extended the length of his guitar (a new feature for his newest model) and grabbed Lulu with the pincers at the top, pulling her away just before she could be crushed by the mega giantess Ruto.
"Whew! Nice save, Japas!" Evan shouted.
"Gee, thanks. I guess." Japas said. Lulu quickly recovered and looked way up to see the mega giantess.
"Oh my gosh..." Lulu said.

Ruto felt kinda bummed that she wasn't able to crush that tiny group of people that were walking towards Hyrule Castle, but now that they were all looking up at her, she felt like trying to start a conversation.
"Hmmm... what do we have here? Little people smaller than guppies!" Ruto said.
"Hey now, you're talking to the Indigo-Gos, world famous band! You best hold your tongue, big girl!" Evan shouted. Ruto had amazing hearing and was still able to pick up those words even though she was at least 900 feet tall.
"Hah! I don't take lip like that from insects!" Ruto shouted. She started to lift her foot up, but Lulu jumped up and down and waved frantically.
"Wait, stop! Who... who are you?" Lulu said. Ruto could hear little Lulu's words and decided to get a closer look at her. She got down on her knees and leaned in, causing the band members to panic from seeing such a huge face.
"My name is Princess Ruto. We look so similar for some reason." Ruto said.
"Yes we do. My name is Lulu." Lulu said.
"Lulu?" Ruto asked. Suddenly, her face was not that of an evil giantess wanting to crush four more tiny people at her feet, but one of astonishment. Ruto stayed in a kneeling position, but leaned back and held out her hand, signaling Lulu to climb on board. Lulu brushed her purple dress as she gingerly climbed on the hand.
"Lulu, what are you doing!?" Evan shouted.
"Shhhh... it's okay, Evan. You and the others go on ahead to the castle. I'll be fine." Lulu said.
"But Lulu!" Tijo shouted.
"I said go!" Lulu shouted. The three band members did what they were told, knowing that winning an argument against her was almost impossible. Once they were gone, Ruto moved her hand up to her face.

"Thank you for sparing the lives of my friends." Lulu said.
"Yeah, for now. I'm just surprised by your name. My mother was named Lulu." Ruto said.
"Really? It's good that you remember your mother. My mother was a very famous singer, the one that put the Indigo-Gos on the map. I've had to uphold that tradition ever since she passed away." Lulu said.
"Hmmm... so your mother has passed away too. I am sorry." Ruto said.
"It's okay. So, Ruto, how did you get so huge? You're bigger than even the castle!" Lulu said.
"Yeah, I guess I am. Can you sing a song for me?" Ruto said.
"Well, sure." Lulu said. That's when she picked out a song from heart and began to sing. Amazingly enough, Ruto recognized the song. It was the same one her mother would sing to her as a baby. Ruto was captivated by Lulu's beautiful singing voice, even from her current height. Eventually the song ended, and Ruto smiled down at her lookalike.
"That was very beautiful." Ruto said.
"Thanks... it's kind of a tribute to my mother." Lulu said. Ruto smiled and as carefully as she could (it wasn't easy handling a normal-sized person at 900 feet tall) placed Lulu back on the ground.
"You should get going to the castle now." Ruto said.
"But what about you?" Lulu asked.
"I... have some things to do, especially at this size." Ruto said.
"I see. I'm sure our paths will cross again in the future." Lulu said.
"I'm sure they will." Ruto said as she stood back up to her full height and turned around, walking back towards the Hyrule Marketplace.

As Ruto stood over the Hyrule Marketplace, easily dwarfing much of the area with her feet, she slightly knocked herself on the head.
"How could I be so weak!? I'm a goddess now... I should be acting more like one! Although that girl..." Ruto said, thinking of Lulu. But Ruto shook her head to try and erase all thoughts of her and her band. She immediately set her mind back on what she always wanted to do, and that was have some fun in Hyrule and grow bigger doing it.
"I need to be bigger. Much bigger! It's time I returned to Lake Hylia!" Ruto said as she started walking again, this time back to where her adventure all started.

Inside Ruto's body

After Zelda had contacted Rauru and informed him of her dilemma, all everyone could do was wait and hope that Ruto wouldn't cause any more destruction than she already had. Soon, a brilliant flash of golden light appeared beside Zelda, and Rauru appeared, already encased in the same bubble that gave everyone else the ability to easily swim around.
"Rauru! Thank you so much for coming!" Zelda said.
"But don't tell us, you also failed to stop Ruto." Nabooru said.
"I didn't have to, young lady. She's far too powerful to try and stop alone." Rauru said. Some of the other sages, along with Link and King Zora, filled Rauru in on the situation. Even though Rauru always kept a watchful eye over Hyrule from the Light Temple, he still required the full story in order to carefully analyze the situation. Rauru nodded after he heard everything.
"Hmmm... yes, it would seem that orb has consumed her with a power that is simply to great to ignore." Rauru said.
"Geez... tell us something we don't know, you old man! So can't we just combine our powers and break out of this watery prison?" Nabooru asked.
"Unfortunately, Ruto's sage power is far too powerful, especially from in here. She would quickly figure out we were trying something if we all used our powers." Rauru said.
"So what can we do? We can't just stand here and do nothing. Besides... I feel like all this is my fault. I should've spent more time with Ruto." Link said.
"Link, please do not hurt yourself like that. You had no idea any of this could happen. We are all bound to misread the future..." Zelda said, thinking back to the mistakes she made in allowing Ganondorf to briefly transform the land of Hyrule into a total dark land back during the Imprisoning War.

"I am afraid the only solution is for one of us to take in all of our sage power and confront Ruto one-on-one to remove this so-called Special Orb of the Zoras." Rauru said.
"Wait... you mean one of us could actually match her size?" Saria asked.
"That's part of the deal." Rauru said.
"Let me do it! I'll pound her to the ground with my strength!" Darunia shouted.
"No, send me. I am the best fighter of everyone here. I can rip out this orb of Ruto's from her body with no problem." Impa said.
"But I'm better with a sword! Certainly I can get closer!" Link shouted. Eventually, all of the sages offered one different reason after another on why they should be the one to fight the giant Ruto, but Rauru remained calm and held up his hands.
"Enough! I have already chosen my candidate. It is you, Princess Zelda." Rauru said. Everyone looked over at Zelda.
"Huh? Me? No... I'm just a princess! I don't have nearly the strength as any of you!" Zelda said.
"Physically, no. But you possess a fighting spirit like nobody else. That's what has made you the princess of Hyrule and, most importantly, keeper of the Triforce of Wisdom. You can do this as long as we all believe in you." Rauru said.
"I believe in the princess." Saria said.
"Yeah, it's hard to argue with Rauru. Count me in." Darunia said. Eventually, the rest of the sages joined in with their support.
"Thank you all... I promise I will not let you down." Zelda said.
"Zelda, wait! You'll want to take these." Link said. He surprised a few of the people in the area as he handed Zelda the Master Sword and the Mirror Shield. The objects could easily pass through the bubbles since they were only made of magic.
"What?" Zelda said.
"Trust me, I think you will need them. And please be careful." Link said.
"Link... thank you." Zelda said.
"Let us not waste another second. Just lend us your energy, Zelda, and we will help." Rauru said. Just then, Zelda closed her eyes tighter, and opened her hands slightly. A small light of energy was flowing around her hands. Rauru and the others could sense this energy, so it was time for them to send the energy.
"My fellow sages... We now have the energy we need! Now, send your energy with Zelda's, and ask for the goddesses to come to her aid!" Rauru said. He, Saria, Darunia, Nabooru, and Impa all focused their energies towards Zelda's. Just then, a bright light covered everything inside Ruto's body. It eventually faded out to reveal three brightly colored lights. Red, green, and blue, which represented the three goddesses that helped create Hyrule back before the beginning of time. The three lights flew down into the bright light.

Zelda opened her eyes to see the three colored lights hovering around her hands. After floating around them for a few seconds, they suddenly rushed into Zelda's body, which knocked her backwards and was causing her to fade out. Along the way, she looked at the many jewels encrusted on her dress as they started to give off a light glow.
"What's happening to me? Is this from the goddesses!?" Zelda shouted before she was gone. Link and King Zora didn't react as they trusted the sages with what they were doing.

Hyrule Field

The bright light soon just outside of the Gerudo Desert, and it expanded greatly until it finally broke apart. Standing now in place of that light was a 900-foot-tall Princess Zelda, holding onto the Master Sword and Mirror Shield that Link had given her (and of course both objects grew with her). Zelda looked beyond her new tools and glittering dress, which signified the added power she had received from the goddesses, towards Lake Hylia. That's where Ruto was about to have some fun.
"Ruto, I'll have you condemned for your acts!" Zelda said to herself, even though that wouldn't be necessary given what would happen after the orb was destroyed according to King Zora. She then took her first steps as a mega giantess. Zelda tried not to let the smaller Hyrule distract her. The future of Hyrule was at stake.

Lake Hylia

Ruto arrived at Lake Hylia with a big smile on her face. She knew it would not be long before she was so huge that she could probably uproot all of Hyrule with just her bare hands.
"It'd be almost intoxicating to grow that huge, yet it'll be fun having Hyrule in the palm of my hands!" Ruto said. Just before she could dip her feet into the lake, she heard a powerful female voice from behind.
"Stop right there, Ruto!" the voice shouted. Ruto turned to see who the voice belonged too. She was certainly startled to see it was Princess Zelda. Not only that, but she was the same exact size! As Zelda's dress glittered brightly from the sunlight, Ruto stepped away from Lake Hylia and slowly approached the princess of all princesses.
"Zelda! What are you doing here? I thought I absorbed you into my body!" Ruto said.
"Well, you'd be amazed what a little sage power can do." Zelda said.
"Huh? Wait... does that mean that Rauru..." Ruto said.
"Yep, he was inside you all along. They, along with the goddesses I serve, have lent me their strength to bring you down." Zelda said.
"But don't you think this is predictable? You growing to my size to try and stop me? The first one who grows always has the advantage!" Ruto said. Zelda didn't let those words distract her as she continued to stand strong.
"Your games are over, Ruto. Come with me and we can help restore you to normal size." Zelda said.
"Huh? Are you kidding!? I would very much like to stay at this size! All my life I've dreamed of towering over Hyrule. I won't let anyone ruin that dream. Not even you, Princess Zelda. I'm sorry." Ruto said.
"Ruto! Please come to your senses! Hyrule is already nervous enough having to deal with Biggoron. They're probably panicking like mad seeing the two of us at this size!" Zelda said.
"I'm not coming!" Ruto said, folding her arms and stomping her feet on the ground.
"If you will not come, then I shall make you!" Zelda said.
"Very well, princess. I will do what I can to defend myself!" Ruto shouted. She used her hands to form a water sword and shield. The two stared at each other before they charged towards each other, letting out loud battle cries along the way.

The battle raged on between Ruto and Zelda. The goddesses and sages had given Zelda great fighting abilities for the time being, as she was able to dodge every one of Ruto's strikes. However, neither girl had taken a hit as of yet. The clanging of swords was so loud, almost the entire kingdom of Hyrule could hear them. Of course, nobody dared to get an up close and personal view of this battle as that would've meant certain death by either of the mega giantesses. As big as they were and as fierce as their battle was, there was no telling what they would be stepping on.

Zelda tried a sidestep to dodge Ruto's vertical swing, but she ended up tripping over a tree and falling over Hyrule Marketplace, crushing it entirely. But she was able to get back up quickly and get back into the action. Zelda, while fighting hard, was also trying to fight with special care. She did not want to crush any of the locales that the two were nearing, although she knew in their mind that she had no choice. If innocent people were going to die for the sake of eliminating this gigantic threat, then so it shall be. Ruto continued to struggle in striking Zelda even once, which made her very frustrated. She had been able to defeat a giant Great Fairy, but she just couldn't put the edge of her sword onto Zelda.

Ruto tried a tidal wave spell to wash Zelda back, but she made a high leap (very high considering she was 900 feet tall like Ruto) into the air. Ruto jumped out of the way from Zelda's fierce strike, nearly leveling Kokiri Forest along the way. Ruto took a swing at Zelda as she tried to pick herself up. Zelda was able to get out of the way, but only after a small part of her dress got ripped up from the strike, along with a small bit of blood. Both girls were starting to show signs of fatigue, especially Ruto, who was trying everything she could to strike the princess.
Finally, as both girls had moved towards the center of Hyrule, Zelda's sword makes contact with Ruto.
"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!" Ruto screamed out in pain. The slash on Ruto's body leaves her injured, as she leaked water onto the ground and fell down on her back. She tried reaching for the sword and shield that she had dropped, but Zelda put her hand on the water princess's hand, preventing her from reaching it.
"It's all over, Ruto. You've lost and soon you'll be back to your normal size." Zelda said. Ruto laid her head down towards the ground in frustration.
"No, no, NO!!! How can I lose to the princess of Hyrule!?!?! Oh gods... please forgive me..." Ruto said. Tears came down from her eyes as she wailed not only in pain, but in frustration as well. She looked way up at Zelda who definitely had her pinned down.
"Go ahead, kill me! You want Hyrule to live in peace? I SAID KILL ME!!!" Ruto shouted. Zelda almost couldn't stand seeing the hatred in Ruto's eyes, but she knew what she had to do. Zelda raised the Master Sword up in the air. Ruto closed her eyes, bracing herself for death, but instead she felt the sword tickling her neck. By the time she opened her eyes to realize what was happening, Zelda snapped Zora's Sapphire, complete with the Special Orb of the Zoras, off Ruto's neck. Zelda then thrust the sword dead center into the orb, shattering it completely.

At that very moment, Ruto fell unconscious and many things began to fly out of the princess's body. First off, the water sword and shield combo she formed disappeared in a splash. All the water she had absorbed was flying back to either Zora's Fountain or Lake Hylia. Zelda also saw all of the sages, as well as Link and King Zora, flying through the sky and then safely down between the two mega giantesses. Link ran up to Zelda's feet and looked way up at her, but Zelda kneeled down to get a good look at everyone.
"Zelda, are you okay!?" Link shouted.
"Yes, Link. I did it. I saved everyone in Hyrule, including you." Zelda said as she held the part of her stomach that got slashed earlier.
"We have to get you back to the castle!" Link said.
"Uh... what's happening to me now?" Zelda asked.
"Our spell is wearing off, and just in time too." Rauru said. Indeed, Zelda (along with the Master Sword and Mirror Shield) started shrinking back to her normal size. Once she was back to normal, she breathed a sigh of relief. She didn't know how much longer she could take being that huge. Everyone then looked over at Ruto, who was slowly waking back up. As she was doing that, she too started to shrink. Zelda also looked around to see many structures being magically repaired as well, including Kokiri Forest and Hyrule Castle. She smiled seeing this. It was just like King Zora said would happen. The glow of the energy faded when the faint Ruto was back to her normal size.
"Oh, Zelda..." Link said as he ran up to Zelda to hug her. The two did indeed hug and Zelda returned Link's tools to the hero. Then there was the matter of Ruto. Link and Zelda ran alongside her to help her up.

"Easy now, Ruto. We've got you." Link said.
"(cough cough) What happened? Did I shrink back to normal?" Ruto said as she looked around and saw that everyone, including of course the sages she had absorbed earlier, were at the sizes she most remembered them at.
"Yes, my dearest. Everything is back to normal, including you, thank goodness." King Zora said.
"Father?" Ruto said.
"Yes. It's all over. We won't be hearing anything from the Special Orb of the Zoras anymore. Zelda destroyed it." King Zora said. Ruto looked back at the shards of the object that made her grow during the day.
"Oh, I see." Ruto said. Then she looked over at Princess Zelda and sighed.
"Princess Zelda of Hyrule... I am ready to surrender myself to you and the sages for all of my wrongdoing today. I realize that I have destroyed a lot in Hyrule, probably more than I realize when I factor in lives lost during my fun and games today. I am ready to pay the price." Ruto said as she lowered her head in shame. Zelda just walked up to the sage of the Water Temple and patted her on the shoulder.
"There is no need to worry, Ruto. It is as if nothing ever happened." Zelda said.
"Huh? Nothing ever happened? For goodness sake, I was probably almost a thousand feet tall just a few minutes ago, and I would've gotten even bigger had you not interfered! How can you say nothing ever happened!?" Ruto shouted.
"Look around, my child. See anything different?" King Zora asked. Ruto did just that as she looked around the many locales of Hyrule, the Hyrule Marketplace and Kokiri Forest in particular since they were in close proximity with where our group of heroes were.
"They... they're all fine. It's like I never touched them." Ruto said, noting the total lack of damage to both places.
"The Special Orb of the Zoras has a reversal effect once it is destroyed. Anything that was destroyed by the owner was restored back to normal condition, and any water that you absorbed flowed back to where it originally came from. The only thing, understandably, that the orb couldn't change was the loss of life." King Zora said.
"So, Ruto, even through all of that, I am willing to let this go. I am sure you have learned your lesson." Zelda said.
"Yes... yes, I think I have. In particular with Link." Ruto said as she walked towards Link.
"Link, I wish I could speak with you sometime... privately in Lake Hylia." Ruto said.
"Well..." Link said. Before he could say anything, Zelda patted Link on the shoulder.
"Go on. I'll be fine. I'm just going back to the castle to heal my wounds." Zelda said, having to hold onto the slash mark on her stomach.
"I will make sure I get the finest healing medicine for you, my princess." Impa said.
"Make it fast, too! I want to see that concert tonight with the Indigo-Gos!" Saria shouted.
"I didn't know you were even into this music junk..." Nabooru said. As everyone made their way to Hyrule Castle, Link and Ruto were all by themselves as they walked towards Lake Hylia.

Lake Hylia

By the time the two made it to the lake, which was back at full capacity, the sun was beginning to set on a long day in Hyrule. Both Link and Ruto sat on the shoreline that seperated the land from the water in the lake.
"Link, I hope you will find it in your three hearts to forgive me. I was jealous that you weren't seeing me as much as you should when I should've realized that we all deserve a choice in who we marry." Ruto said.
"Yeah, but I'm partly to blame too. I should've told you sooner. I'm just glad everything worked out in the end." Link said. The two sat in silence for a few seconds before Link spoke up again.
"Y'know, I used to have nightmares about these kinds of days when I was a kid." Link said.
"Really?" Ruto asked.
"Yeah. I once had a nightmare where I shunned off Saria for wanting to come with me on my adventures. The next thing I knew, I was only a couple inches tall and at her mercy." Link said.
"That must've been terrifying, especially knowing how cheerful Saria can be even as a sage." Ruto said.
"Somewhat. The scariest one to me, though, was with Malon." Link said.
"The Lon Lon girl?" Ruto asked.
"Yeah. I was just as tiny in this nightmare, and suddenly here she comes wanting me to help out with ranch work. I thought for sure I was going to die inside those boots of hers." Link said.
"Ouch!" Ruto said.
"But the strangest part... I ended up telling Malon about this nightmare, and she said she had dreams like that too. The first night, she said she was playing with a shrunken me like I was some Minish or something. Then she ends up growing to giant size and playing with all of Hyrule in her next dream, kinda like you." Link said. Ruto simply smiled.
"I guess it's not so strange to think big in your dreams or even nightmares. It's a fantasy I'm sure all of us have in our minds." Ruto said.
"Well, maybe not all of us..." Link said.
"Awwww... come on, I'm sure you can dream it one day. You, Zelda, and I walking around playing with all sorts of little people around Hyrule! You could even protect us from so-called giant monsters!" Ruto said.
"What!? Ruto!!!" Link shouted, sounding very much shocked. Ruto, on the other hand, started giggling.
"I'm just kidding! Sheesh... take a joke, why don't you?" Ruto said, laughing and poking Link on the shoulder. Link just sighed. He would probably never figure out Ruto the way he wanted to.

Ruto finally stood back up on her feet, with Link doing the same.
"Oh... I just remembered. The people of Kakariko Village said they would throw me a party as thanks for saving them from the lava of Death Mountain." Ruto said.
"Yeah, but... wasn't that when they saw you at hundreds of feet tall?" Link said.
"Yeah, you're right. Come on, let's go watch that Indigo-Gos concert. I especially want to hear this girl, Lulu. She reminds me of my mother..." Ruto said as the two walked away from Lake Hylia, though Link made things a heck of a lot easier when he called for Epona. On top of the horse, the two were on their way for Hyrule Castle.
"Link... no matter what happens from this day forward, we can still be friends, right?" Ruto asked.
"Sure. Anytime." Link said as the two smiled at each other, stopping short of kissing each other.
