(Cubed Cinder)
Link woke up to the sight of the morning sun peeking above Death Mountain far
in the distance. Once again, feeling he was too far away from a hospitable
village, he took refuge in the edge of a forest and slept under its watchful
eye. He got up and stretched, then picked up his current weapon of choice, a
battle axe… although it looked heavily worn and was one Bokoblin attack away
from breaking. Strapping the axe and his wooden shield to his back, Link walked
out of the forest and into the grassy plain.
Link admired the beauty of the land around him. He thought it was a shame
something as evil as Calamity Ganon would want to take it all away. Although the
voice of Princess Zelda urged him to hurry and gain the wisdom, power, and
courage he needed to defeat Ganon, he took his time. This was not a mission he
wanted to rush on… for if he failed, the entire world would fall to eternal
darkness.
During the journey, Link would occasionally stop and recognize places that he,
Zelda, and some other friends visited in the past before Hyrule changed due to
Calamity Ganon's initial attack. These memories would be as clear as day
whenever he remembered them, and starting today, Link would remember five
different memories all related to a fantasy that he felt was rather unorthodox.
He literally almost tumbled onto the first of these memories when he felt his
boot hit something and he almost tripped. When he regained his balance, he
looked back and saw it was the leftover remains of a small house.
And I do mean small house. This house could only rise up to his knees. Then Link looked around. There were many more houses of this nature surrounding him, including some even smaller houses. He slowly walked around, curious how these houses could be so small. He wondered if any people who lived in this village were small too.
And that's when he gasped. There WERE small people who lived here. His vision faded to white as the first of today's memories came storming back to him…
Memory 1
Zelda enthusiastically walked around, holding the Sheikah Slate like a camera
as she took snapshot after snapshot.
"I'd say this is a perfect spot for Purah to build her new seaside laboratory.
Wouldn't you agree, Link?" Zelda said as she skipped around. She didn't hear a
peep from her assigned guardian, and so she looked back at him.
"Link? What's wrong? You've barely said a word since we left Hyrule Castle."
Zelda said. Link opened his lips and started to speak, but Zelda put a finger to
his mouth.
"Wait, no. Don't tell me. My father thinks I shouldn't be wasting my time out
here, right?" Zelda said. Link only shrugged his shoulders.
"Well, even if that weren't true, there's no way I'm turning down a favor from
the ever all wise Purah." Zelda said. She then looked over to the right and saw
a forest area.
"Oh? I wonder if these trees will cause concern…" Zelda said as she started to
walk towards the forest, but then turned around and walked towards Link. She
thrust the Sheikah Slate into Link's arms.
"Link, I'm going to check out that forest. Keep taking pictures of this area for
me, if you don't mind." Zelda said. Again, Link started to speak, but Zelda beat
him to it.
"I promise I'll scream if a Bokoblin or something jumps at me!" Zelda shouted as
she ran towards the trees. Link sighed and got back to walking around, taking
random snapshots. He eventually strolled into an area of very tall grass, rising
almost past his knees. He waded through as best as he could, but didn't realize
the trouble he was causing within that grass…
Life was peaceful for the Minish Village, but it came to a sudden stop when
everyone felt the ground thump and booming sounds echoed in the sky. A young boy
looked up at an older woman.
"Mommy? What's happening?" the boy asked.
"I don't know. Get inside the house for now." the woman said. As the boy ran
inside, an older man came out.
"Honey, did you feel that?" the man asked.
"I think we all did." the woman said as she pointed to many of the other
citizens who had concerned looks as well. Finally, after a giant shadow cut off
what little sunlight could peek through the 'trees,' which were really tall
blades of grass, the thumps and thundering sounds were at their peak, and they
saw why.
"Eeeeek! The giant approaches!" another woman shouted. She and the other people
watched as the incredibly tall man that we know as Link walked around. His boots
were always coming within inches of smashing something flat, whether it was a
house, tools such as wheelbarrows, or people. Although the only damage so far
was a roof clipped off one of the taller houses, the people ran and screamed for
their lives.
"It's the end! We'll all be destroyed!" one man shouted.
"Calm down, everyone!" a much older man said atop a wooden platform. Everyone
looked towards the platform when they heard the voice.
"Oh! Mayor Ezlo speaks!" a woman shouted.
"Do not fear, people of Minish Village. For we have the Desizeifier! By
utilizing this device, we can cut the giant down to size!" Ezlo said.
"Well, what are you waiting for!? Turn it on already!" a man shouted. Ezlo
reached over towards the machine and pressed a series of buttons. Eventually the
machine glowed brightly and shot a blue laser up towards Link.
Link, of course, was minding his own business and snapping away with the
camera function of the Sheikah Slate, only to suddenly find himself surrounded
by a blue beam. Although the beam didn't hurt, he watched as the grass suddenly
looked to be getting even taller. It wasn't until his head was below the tallest
blades that he fully realized he was shrinking, and he began to worry. How small
would he get? He got a lump in his throat as the blades of grass suddenly
towered over him like trees.
Finally, the shrinking stopped. He then looked ahead when he heard murmurs from
other people. And that's what surprised him next… that there were at least a
couple dozen of these other humans just as small as he was!
"Greetings, young man! I know you must have a lot of questions about what has
happened to you." Ezlo said as he and some other citizens approached Link. Link,
however, strapped the Sheikah Slate to his belt and then reached behind his
back, pulling out the Master Sword.
"Whoa whoa! Easy there, young man! I assure you we mean you no harm. In fact,
your condition is only temporary! You will return to your original size in about
an hour!" Ezlo said. Having heard that, and seeing the peaceful nature of these
people (as in they weren't carrying any weapons), Link eased up and put away his
sword.
"Whew… okay, good. I'm glad you've calmed down. Again, I apologize. We don't
often get travelers as big as you once were." Ezlo said.
For the next couple minutes, Link introduced himself and talked about what he
was doing in this part of Hyrule.
"I see… so you are the protector of a princess named Zelda? That would explain
the royal garb." Ezlo said.
"It's kinda too bad we shrunk you. Now that I think about it, you looked kinda
cute when you were giant." one woman said.
"Ummmm… I'm right here, honey, you know." a man said behind her.
"Oops! Sorry!" the woman said.
"Anyway, it is nice to meet you, Link. I am Ezlo, leader of the Minish Village,
and we all really are of this size and stature. Really, I do not blame you for
not seeing our village amongst the trees." Ezlo said.
"Old man Ezlo, didn't you hear what Link called them? They're actually blades of
grass." one man said.
"Ah, yes. To Link and the other people of his world, they're blades of grass,
but as you can see, these walls of green tower over our village like trees in a
forest… concealing it from the rest of the world. It is a good thing… for there
is not much left of our kind, I fear." Ezlo said.
"We've lost so many people over the past few years… most of them who weren't
strong enough to face the outside world." one man said. Link felt bad for these
people. He fully understood why they hid themselves within this part of Hyrule.
They wouldn't stand a chance… let alone if Calamity Ganon were to be revived and
unleash his havoc on the world.
But Link and the others were not out of the theoretical woods yet. The ground
once again was thumping with thundering boom sounds echoing in the sky above.
"Oh no! Another one!? How long has it been since TWO giants showed up!?" a woman
shouted. Link heard the female voice call out from beyond the towering blades of
grass and immediately recognized the voice.
"Link? Link!? Where are you?" Zelda shouted. Indeed, Link recognized the voice
belonging to Zelda, and it was only a couple seconds later when her body became
visible to him and the other people of Minish Village.
"Oh my! It's a giantess!" one woman shouted.
"She looks kinda cute…" a man said, the same man whose wife thought Link looked
cute.
"Arrrrrgh!" the woman growled, but she and the other people ran when Zelda took
her next step, with one of the boots coming very close to the village. Zelda
folded her arms and had an annoyed look on her face.
"Hmph! Some protective knight Link is. He's got some nerve running off and
leaving me all alone out here." Zelda said. The people who weren't running for
cover looked over at Ezlo.
"Mayor Ezlo! Fire the Desizeifier again!" a man shouted.
"Ummm… there's just one big problem… no pun intended! The machine needs a few
hours to recharge!" Ezlo said. The people gasped when they realized the
Desizeifier wasn't the perfect solution that had been advertised. And their fear
only intensified when they looked back and saw Zelda take a couple steps into
the village. She came very close to crushing a house with her boots, but the
mere fact the boots were on the village grounds was enough to send everyone into
a frenzy.
Everyone except Link, of course. The challenge in front of him was gigantic, but
one he could solve with quick thinking. Rather than waste his voice considering
he was probably too small to be heard, Link got creative to get Zelda's
attention. He first drew out his bow, and then a series of bomb arrows. Link
pulled back and shot upwards, with the bomb arrows exploding as soon as they
either got high enough or made contact with Zelda. Ezlo raised his eyes and
opened his mouth as he watched Link do his thing.
"I say… what a most ingenious way of attracting the giantess's attention!" Ezlo
said as he watched Link continue to shoot bomb arrows upward.
Zelda, meanwhile, took a couple small steps around and took notice of how
tall the grass was.
"Goodness… this grass is so tall. It must be at least two feet high." Zelda
commented. She then watched as there was a miniscule explosion around waist
high.
"Huh? What the?" Zelda said as she watched the explosions come one by one, some
of them hitting her but doing no damage at all. At first, the explosions didn't
register with her.
"What strange looking fireworks. They look more like…" Zelda said, only to raise
her eyebrows as something hit her mind, "They look more like explosions from
bomb arrows!"
The princess then carefully kneeled down, hoping she wouldn't get hit in the
face by one of these explosions, and then spread the grass apart with both her
hands. She gasped over what she saw.
"A… a small village?" Zelda said. She scanned around the village and then saw
someone very important.
"Link!? Is that you?" Zelda said. No wonder I couldn't find him, she thought, as
he was shrunken down to somewhere between 3-4 inches tall, the same size as the
other people she saw. Ezlo, the oldest of the men in the area, walked up behind
Link.
"Princess Zelda! Thank goodness we have your attention! You were about to crush
our innocent village flat! Allow me to introduce myself, I am…" Ezlo said.
However, it soon became obvious Zelda was not paying attention to him yet. Zelda
instead smiled and moved a hand towards Link.
"Awwwww! You look so cute, Link!" Zelda said as she gently picked up Link,
immediately hugging him against her face.
The hugging went on for a few more seconds before Zelda pulled him away and
cleared her throat.
"Ahem… sorry. You just remind me of those little soldier toys I see the children
in Hyrule Castle playing with." Zelda said.
"Well now… I don't mean to interrupt this show of affection, but…" Ezlo said as
he gently tapped his staff against one of Zelda's kneecaps.
"Oh! How rude of me! Are you the one responsible for shrinking Link?" Zelda said
as she looked down at Ezlo.
"Indeed I am, thanks to our proud invention… the Desizeifier. But don't worry…
the effects are only temporary. In less than an hour, he will return to his
normal size." Ezlo said.
"I see. And you are?" Zelda asked.
"I am Ezlo, the mayor of this place… Minish Village. Link has told us about you,
your royal highness. Er… no pun intended, of course." Ezlo said.
"Oh! Wait… Minish Village? Are you perhaps descendants of the ancient Picori
creatures of legends long ago?" Zelda asked.
"Why yes! Are you a fellow scholar of Hyrule Historia?" Ezlo said.
"I am." Zelda said.
"Then I need not waste my energy talking about our history." Ezlo said.
"I do beg forgiveness. I nearly crushed your village out of existance, didn't
I?" Zelda said.
"Hahaha! Fear not, child! We've faced more than a few close shaves with the land
of the giants. Thankfully we are a resilient bunch and have our survival
instincts and technology to help prolong our lives." Ezlo said.
Zelda then took another long look at the shrunken Link.
"Heehee… so how are going to protect me now, hero? At least until you return to
normal…" Zelda said. She then looked down at Ezlo.
"Ezlo, may I see more of your village? I promise to move around as carefully as
I can." Zelda said.
"Of course! Follow me and my cohorts!" Ezlo said as he walked away from Zelda.
As for Zelda herself, she placed her hands down on the ground to get on all
fours, then placing Link behind one of her pointy ears.
"You better hang on for the ride, my little knight in shining armor." Zelda
said. Link simply rolled his eyes and indeed held on for the ride while Zelda
crawled around Minish Village, being extra careful not to crush anyone or
anything with any part of her body, though that proved to be a challenge when
her pinky finger accidentally clipped the roof of a nearby house.
Yet, for the next few minutes, there were no other major incidents. Well,
except for a couple silly guys who somehow managed to climb the giantess without
her noticing and bounce up and down on her behind. The tour around the entire
village was completed and Zelda was impressed with the way of life in the
village.
"Well now, I must say, Mayor Ezlo. You have done a fantastic job here." Zelda
said.
"Thank you, Princess Zelda. And yet…" Ezlo said, suddenly with a worried look on
his face.
"What is it?" Zelda asked as she got back to a sitting position (the two guys on
Zelda's butt jumped off to safety).
"Our food supply is limited on a daily basis. We can only obtain so much for our
people given our limited size, and therefore our limited power." Ezlo said.
"Perhaps I can help with that. There are many mushrooms and fruits in the forest
nearby. Would that be enough for your food supply?" Zelda asked. Ezlo's eyes
opened wide.
"Would it ever! Given the size of those mushrooms, which we've tried and failed
to bring here, it'd be years before any of us would go hungry again!" Ezlo said.
"And the juice from those giant apples is just heavenly… every day I hear my
kids begging me to bring home more of those apples." one man nearby said.
"I see! Then it's settled. I will gather the food and bring it to you." Zelda
said.
"Thank you so much, Princess Zelda! We would forever be in your debt…" Ezlo
said.
"Oh, think nothing of it. It's my sworn duty as princess of Hyrule to make
everyone happy… no matter what size they're at!" Zelda said.
She then got back on her knees and reached up to one of her ears, grabbing
Link and setting him down on the ground.
"Link, why don't you stay here and entertain the people of Minish Village? I'll
be back soon with the food." Zelda said as she stood back to her full height.
She could see Link trying to say something.
"Oh, you worry too much, Link. We haven't seen any monsters for miles!" Zelda
said with a smile. Then she stepped away, and he and the rest of the villagers
watched the giantess disappear from view.
"Wow… that ass!" one man said nearby. Link grumbled and bumped the man on the
shoulder.
A few minutes later, while the village went on with their normal lives, with
Link behind to entertain them as Zelda instructed, they then stopped when they
heard thumping noises once again.
"Oh! Zelda must be returning." one man said. Link, however, felt uneasy.
Something felt… different… about these footsteps, and then he heard the
grumbling voice of this creature. That was not Zelda. Far from it. Everyone
gasped when they saw what it was. A giant Bokoblin.
"Eeeeek! What is that!?" a woman shouted.
"The giant monster beckons!" a man shouted.
"Run for your lives!" Ezlo shouted as he and the other citizens of Minish
Village ran away, just as the Bokoblin laughed maniacally and slammed his club
down on a house near his feet, destroying it. Of course, a Bokoblin would
ordinarily be a simple challenge for Link, but that's when he was normal sized.
At his shrunken size, it was like looking up at one of the Divine Beasts.
Still, his heroic nature made him clench his fists as he pulled out his bow and
arrow and charged forward.
Meanwhile, Zelda had stuffed her arms full of different food, mostly
mushrooms and apples, as she exited the forest she had been roaming around.
"Whew… it's a good thing mostly everything was on the ground, but at least I
found this spear to help with those pesky apples." Zelda said as she looked back
at the Traveler's Spear latched onto her back that she found laying on the
ground in the forest… no doubt the last of whoever was unfortunate to fall in
battle in this part of the forest.
She then looked ahead at the tall grass where the Minish Village was hiding…
only to see a Bokoblin walking around. She gasped.
"Oh my! What's a Bokoblin doing all the way out here?" Zelda said. Of course,
she knew right away what its intentions were. He was probably attacking the
village at his feet. Zelda put on a determined battle face as she set the food
down on the ground. Then she armed herself with the spear and charged towards
the tall grass.
The people continued to run in fear as houses left and right were getting
destroyed in the Minish Village, either by the clawed feet of the Bokoblin or
his club. Link fought valiantly as he shot arrow after arrow at the Bokoblin,
but his attacks didn't seem to be doing much damage. Although he was
successfully able to dodge any counterattack by the Bokoblin, he eventually
tripped himself up and fell on his behind, and he could only watch as the
Bokoblin raised his club up. But then…
"STOP!" a female voice shouted loudly. Everyone, including the 'giant' Bokoblin,
watched as the 'giantess' Zelda returned, clutching her spear tightly.
"How dare you attack this peaceful village!? I will not allow you to deprive
these people of their homeland!!" Zelda said. Link held his hands on his head.
Was Zelda out of her mind? Last week she almost screamed her head off in the
swamp over that one bullfrog that made a surprise jump towards her. How was she
going to do against a ferocious Bokoblin? He could only step aside as Zelda made
a firm step where he once stood and engaged the Bokoblin.
The people of Minish Village could only watch (and get out of the way) as the
two battled it out like giants duking it out in a fairy tale. Both the Bokoblin
and Zelda landed attacks, only to have to dodge counterattacks from the other.
Link could see Zelda already breathing heavily like she was tiring out. He
wasn't about to let the princess fall in battle… he already felt in hot water
for even letting her battle given how overprotective her father, the king, was.
Link pulled out what turned out to be his last bomb arrow and aimed carefully
towards the Bokoblin's face. He fired away… and bullseye! The Bokoblin flinched
as he saw the explosion directly in front of his face. Zelda knew where that
explosion came from, but didn't have time to thank Link as she lunged forward.
"Gotcha!" Zelda said as she thrust the spear at the Bokoblin, hitting him three
times and knocking him backwards. It also caused the club to fly out of his
hands and land on the outskirts of the village. The Bokoblin tried to get back
up, only to be looking straight up at Zelda as she held the spear above its
head.
"This is for attacking my new friends!" Zelda shouted as she slammed the pointed
end of the spear into the Bokoblin's stomach, causing it to scream out in pain.
Eventually, the Bokoblin exploded in a puff of black smoke. There was nothing
left but its horns and a couple fangs.
Zelda took a deep breath as she threw aside her spear. Did I really just do
that, she thought. It's the first monster that she felt she has slayed in that
manner. She looked down at the many people of the Minish Village applauding at
her.
"Princess Zelda… that was an incredible display of power, wisdom, and courage!'
Ezlo said.
"T-t-thank you. I only did what I thought was best for your protection… though
it seems I was a little too late." Zelda said as she pointed over at the few
damaged houses.
"Homes can be rebuilt, but lives cannot, and what's most important is that
nobody met their unpleasant end despite the vicious attack from that monster."
Ezlo said with a smile.
"Oh, well… that's fantastic. I'm also glad Link appears to be unhurt, right?"
Zelda said as she walked towards the tiny Link, planting one of her boots just
inches away from the 3-4 inch tall hero. Zelda smiled as she reached down and
picked him up into her hands.
"I still say you're as cute as a button on one of Purah's machines." Zelda said.
"But never mind that! Were you able to gather the food we needed?" Ezlo said.
"Oh, of course! Wait here!" Zelda said as she marched away from the village.
She then returned, with Link now sitting on her shoulder because her arms
were full of food that she gathered from the forest. She placed the food all
around the outer edges of the village, with the people ooooohing and aaaaaahing
over how big the food was.
"Mayor Ezlo is right! We'll never go hungry again!" the man said. He then
cheered loudly as did the other citizens of the village.
"Princess Zelda, there must be some way we can repay you!" Ezlo said. Zelda
enthusiastically shook her head.
"You don't have to. As I said before, the happy looks on your faces is enough
for me. That's all I look for as everyone's princess of this kingdom." Zelda
said. Just then, Zelda could feel a hefty weight on her shoulder getting
stronger. It was Link… who was slowly growing.
"Oh! The magic of the Desizeifier is wearing off." Ezlo said. Zelda placed Link
on the ground, away from the village as he returned to his normal size. Link
couldn't help but give a smug smile over to Zelda, then patting on the Sheikah
Slate attached to his hip.
"Oh well. It was fun while it lasted. Anyway, we'd love to stay, but everyone at
Hyrule Castle is probably worried about us by now." Zelda said.
"Yes. I understand, Princess Zelda. It was truly a fateful honor to have you and
Link visit our village. Please come visit again!" Ezlo said.
"We'll make sure of it! Farewell for now, Ezlo and the Minish people!" Zelda
said, waving down at everyone until she and Link turned around and walked away,
hearing the faint cheers of the people fade out the farther away they walked.
Link opened his eyes wide. Alas, that was the end of the memory. He took one more look down at the village, of which there was nothing left like many other ruined locations he had come across during his journey. He thought it was a shame he or Zelda didn't seem to meet up with these people again. As he walked away from the remains of the Minish Village, he couldn't help but wonder what happened to them.
Several hours pass, and with the night sky looming overhead, Link knew it was time to find a safe place to sleep. He looked to his left and couldn't think of a better place than the Sheikah Tower that he was staring at. It was a tower that he hadn't yet activated, so he ran towards it and ascended it. It took nearly all his stamina, but he was able to make it to the top. He placed the Sheikah Slate on the pedestal and let the tower work its magic, unlocking more of the Hyrule map on the device. After strapping the slate back to his hip, Link walked to the edge of the tower. What a beautiful sight, he thought, especially the forest a couple miles away.
Seeing the forest before it disappeared into the night, and then looking down at a rather large chip on one of the Sheikah Tower's sides… another vision of the past was coming back to him.
Memory 2
It was another day, almost a full day in fact since Link and Zelda's
encounter with Minish Village. They were making their way through another
forest, this one much more dense than the one they were near yesterday. Soon,
however, something caught Zelda's eye and she ran off the trail. Link quickly
followed, and by the time he caught up, he saw Zelda staring up at what appeared
to be a goddess statue.
"Look, Link. This must be one of the statues dedicated to the Goddess Hylia.
Although…" Zelda said as she pulled out the Sheikah Slate and took pictures of
the statue.
"It's kinda strange that there'd be a statue all the way out here in this part
of the forest. And the statue does look a bit different from the others I've
seen." Zelda said. She then turned around and looked at Link.
"Still, it's my sworn duty to pray to these statues. One day they may come in
handy for all of us, including you, Link." Zelda said. Link once again didn't
get the chance to comment as Zelda turned around and looked at the statue again.
After putting away the Sheikah Slate, she put her hands together and prayed.
"Goddess Hylia. Hear my words and stand to ready. For one day, if Calamity Ganon
ever rears his ugly head, we will need your guidance. Your spirit. Your stamina.
Your heart. Grant it to anyone who prays upon you in their greatest time of
need." Zelda said. Just then, the statue glowed in a bright yellow light, which
took the princess by surprise. She did not expect the statue to glow this
brightly so soon.
"Huh? What the? Ack!" Zelda said as she found herself engulfed in light. Link
tried to break Zelda free, but ended up shocked by the light like he was
touching electricity and fell backwards. He didn't try to break Zelda loose
again, feeling another hit like the one he took would be fatal. Finally, though,
the light died down. Zelda moved her gloved hands away from her eyes and looked
all over herself.
"Well now… I don't feel any different. Was that the goddesses wanting to offer
their strength immediately and… oooooh!" Zelda said as she suddenly felt the
need to clutch her stomach. This time, Link stayed back and just watched.
Because Zelda was getting bigger right before his eyes.
Zelda was already 10 feet tall and growing fast.
"The… the forest is shrinking?" Zelda said as she looked down and saw the grass,
the statue, Link… everything shrinking before her eyes. She looked up and saw
the highest branches of trees closing in fast.
"Why am I growing!?" Zelda shouted as she wondered what would be causing this
phenomenon. Eventually, she was so tall, her head was peeking above the tallest
trees and sticking out of the forest. And that's when the growing stopped. She
didn't know it, but she was roughly 80 feet tall now. It didn't matter what the
number was, though. She was clearly towering above the once huge and dense
forest.
"Oh my goodness… and to think I wished that one time I could be as big as the
Divine Beasts. Could the goddesses have heard that wish?" Zelda said. She then
thought about Link and hoped she didn't accidentally crush him during her growth
spurt, so she carefully spread the trees apart around her chest with her hands.
She looked down and saw Link waving up to her by her boots.
"Link! Thank goodness you're alright." Zelda said.
The giantess carefully got down on her knees, taking her inside the forest
once again. She watched as Link backed away nervously.
"Heehee… well then, Link, how does it feel to be smaller than me again?" Zelda
said as she and Link were no doubt thinking back to yesterday when they had that
encounter with the Minish Village that left Link tiny and her normal-sized.
"I don't blame you for being speechless. Still…" Zelda said. She then lowered
her gloved hands down to the ground.
"Well, go on. Climb aboard." Zelda said. Link was nervous at first… but this was
Princess Zelda we were talking about here. He had no reason to hesitate further,
so he jumped into the palm of Zelda's right hand. Zelda then stood back to her
full height, feeling the upper branches of the tallest trees brushing the back
of her head until it was sticking out above the trees, as were her arms.
"Heh… I'm so big, and yet it feels so cramped. Let's go elsewhere, shall we?"
Zelda said. Link nodded like she was the boss.
"Good. Hold on, then." Zelda said as she gently placed Link on her right
shoulder, that way she had her hands to help push aside the trees. Many of them
got bent a good deal and many branches ended up snapping off when Zelda's legs
or waist pushed against them. Finally she was out of the forest, and she turned
around to look at it, thinking back to when she and Link first entered it.
"My goodness, the forest looks so small just from here…" Zelda said. She then
turned around and set her sights on a nearby Sheikah Tower.
When Zelda took a few steps and was already standing in front of the Sheikah
Tower, it gave her a true sense of the size she had grown to. Never in my
wildest dreams did I think I'd be just as tall as this tower, Zelda thought to
herself. She then gently picked up Link from her shoulder and dropped him at the
top of the tower. With Zelda's neck directly in front of him, Link had to
slightly look up to see the giantess's green eyes.
"Hmmm… you know, Link. I wonder how long I will remain this size. It almost
makes me wish Calamity Ganon could be here now so I could crush him like a bug!"
Zelda said, lightly stomping her boot on the ground. She smiled as she looked
down at the tiny Link.
"Forgive me, Link. I once again can't help but admire how cute you look from
this perspective. You do think I'm beautiful at this size, right?" Zelda said as
she quickly twirled around. Link nodded quickly.
"Hahaha! You're just acting like that so I don't get mad and squash you, right?"
Zelda said, prompting another quick nod from Link.
"Well, don't you worry about that. If anything, you'd probably fall head over
heels over a giant Mipha, wouldn't you?" Zelda said with a wink from one of her
eyes. Link gulped nervously, and Zelda could tell he was thinking about such a
scenario.
"Hmmm… that's gotten me thinking. I wonder if I could share this power with the
Champions. The five of us like this… wow… we'd vanquish all evil in Hyrule!"
Zelda said as she imagined such a scenario. She then heard Link clearing his
throat and looked down at him again.
"Say, Link. Have you ever wanted to kiss a giant girl? Go ahead… I'm not shy."
Zelda said as she leaned in with the right side of her face a mere couple of
inches away from the edge of the tower. That's when Link walked closer and
closer to the great wall of skin that was before him.
But before he could plant his lips… there was a small explosion on top of
Zelda's head, and the giantess felt it too.
"Ow!" Zelda said as she pulled her head back, almost clipping Link with her hair
as it swung around. Zelda rubbed her head, checking to make sure there wasn't
any blood coming out (thankfully there wasn't), and then she looked up at where
the explosion came from.
What she saw surprised her. It was about 8 Guardian Skywatchers flying
several feet above her in the sky.
"What? Guardians? Why are they attacking me? Whoa!" Zelda said. She had to move
her head sharply out of the way as one of the Skywatchers shot its signature
laser down. Zelda stumbled backwards a couple steps, not realizing a hill was
behind her. She tripped over this hill and landed on her behind, crushing some
trees underneath it and causing the ground to shake for a couple seconds.
"Ouch… that smarts." Zelda said. She then had to roll to the side quickly to
avoid being struck by another laser. Those lasers were quite powerful despite
her increased size, but it was starting to annoy her that the Guardians were
attacking her… the princess of Hyrule no less!
"Those Guardians picked a fine time to malfunction, and the wrong person to
target their lasers!" Zelda said. She stood back up and walked past the tower
trying to reach up and grab the Skywatchers, but they would just fly upward out
of range of the giantess's hands. Not only that, but they took the time to
charge up their lasers and shoot at Zelda, lightly shocking her with the blasts.
"Arrrrgh! Why are they shooting me!? I wish I were bigger so I can reach up and
grab them!" Zelda said, knowing they couldn't fly any higher than they were
already at. Just as she said that, she felt her body pulsing once again.
"Ooooooh…" Zelda said as she felt herself rising up in the air once again. Link
fell back in shock. He thought Zelda was big enough already being as tall as the
Sheikah Tower he was standing on, but now he could only watch as the princess
grew even bigger.
Zelda finally felt her growth stop when she reached 300 feet tall. But more
importantly was her situation with the Guardian Skywatchers. Not only was she
eye level with them as the machines clearly struggled to fly even higher, but
also the lasers they were shooting now had little effect on her. She would only
flinch anytime a laser struck anywhere on her skin or clothes.
"Now then, it's time I punished you machines for shooting me. Haaaaaa!" Zelda
said as she clenched one of her hands into a fist and then thrust it towards the
Skycatchers, immediately destroying two of them on contact. Some of the
Guardians continued firing their lasers, but Zelda would swat them out of the
air with the back of her hand, watching as one got immediately destroyed while
the other was flying down towards the ground in a cloud of smoke. One of the
propellers flew off and nicked the tower, taking a good chunk out of it and
causing Link to dive for cover, but fortunately it was still standing.
Zelda made quick work of the remaining four Guardian Skywatchers, which
didn't bother to retreat. Zelda remembered one of the engineers at the castle
telling her that whenever any Guardian spotted a threatening target, it would
pursue it and wouldn't stop attacking until it was either destroyed or ran out
of energy. It would never retreat out of fear… an emotion these machines weren't
capable of learning. She used this to her advantage as she grabbed one Guardian
in one hand (blocking its laser blast towards her head with the same hands) and
grabbed another in the other hand, slamming them together and causing all sorts
of parts from the machine to rain to the ground at her feet. The next Guardian
she totally destroyed by clapping her hands together.
When there was one left, of course she slapped it out of the sky and watched it
fall down next to her boots. It creeped around trying to get back in the air.
"Face the wrath of my boot, Guardian!" Zelda said in an angry tone, with an
angry battle ready face to match. She then raised one of her boots up and then
slammed it down, crunching the Skywatcher totally flat.
Zelda took a deep breath. The threat was over with all eight Guardian
Skywatchers destroyed. She looked around at the damage left in her wake.
"Well now. That was strangely satisfying." Zelda said. She then looked at the
much smaller Sheikah Tower and remembered Link was still standing there. She
walked towards this tower, surprised to see it level with her knees now. She
kneeled down and leaned her head as close as she could, just spotting Link.
"Link, are you alright?" Zelda asked. She could see Link covering his ears.
"Oh… sorry. My voice is greatly amplified to go with my new size." Zelda now
whispered. Like before, she offered a hand on the edge of the tower for Link to
stand on. Link jumped off the tower and landed on one of Zelda's fingers,
spending the next minute running towards the palm of her huge hand.
"I hope I didn't scare you, Link. All I did was think about growing bigger and
that's what happened." Zelda said. She then looked down at the many Guardian
parts scattered around the tower and beyond.
"But that's not important now. What's more important, even over my current size,
is why those Guardians attacked me. We should go back to Hyrule Castle and speak
with the engineers there." Zelda said. She could just barely see Link nodding,
and she kept her hands steady as she walked away from the Sheikah Tower and
towards Hyrule Castle in the distance.
Her size meant it was only a short walk before she towered well over Hyrule
Castle. Obviously, activity came to a screeching halt as people of all walks of
life (men, women, children, soldiers, builders, etc.) on the castle grounds
looked up in awe at how big Princess Zelda now was. Many had to get out of the
way as her giant boots set foot on the ground after she stepped over the castle
walls. Zelda stepped carefully around, making sure she didn't crush any
buildings within the castle walls, but finally she was able to make it near the
castle itself. She looked down and saw her father, King Rhoam, stepping out.
That's when she got down on her knees and set Link down next to him.
"Zelda, my daughter, what in the name of Hyrule has happened to you!?" King
Rhoam shouted.
"Well, it's kind of a long story. I found this statue in the forest and when I
prayed to it, it shone a bright light on me and made me like this. But never
mind that, father! We were attacked by Guardians!" Zelda said.
"Hmmm… yes. The engineers tell me they self-activated and flew out of here, but
they told me they were not supposed to self-activate yet!" King Rhoam said.
"Hmmm… most curious. What could've caused such a malfunction? And why would they
come after me?" Zelda asked.
"Perhaps they suspected you as a threat given your incredible size. Don't worry,
Zelda. I'll see to it that our brightest figure out a way to return you to
normal…" King Rhoam said.
"No! I rather like being this big. And besides… I feel like I can control my
size. Let me see…" Zelda said.
That's when the giantess got to thinking. This time she thought small… much
smaller things. And it worked. Everyone watched as Zelda dwindled in size.
Smaller and smaller she got until she was down to just under 100 feet tall,
still looking very big to the people of Hyrule Castle.
"Well, that's all well and good, my daughter, but I insist you return to normal
and never commence any of these growing shenanigans again!" King Rhoam said.
"Sorry, father. But after what happened with the Guardians… can we really trust
them, and even the Divine Beasts, to protect us from Calamity Ganon? I feel like
we have a far more powerful advantage in my new power to change size at will."
Zelda said.
"Princess Zelda, my daughter… you have seen and felt my wrath when you defy me.
I command you to shrink and return to your mission of…" King Rhoam said, only to
watch as Zelda kneeled down and leaned her head as close as she could get it to
the balcony where the king, his soldiers, and Link were standing. They all
ducked down in fear from seeing Zelda's giant face so close.
"No! YOU listen to me, father! I'm a big girl now! In more ways than one… and
I'll make my own decisions!!" Zelda shouted. She stood back up, now with her
hands on her hips.
"Now… if you'll excuse me. I'm going to explore more of this wonderful land from
this new perspective." Zelda said. She swung around in the other direction and
marched out of Hyrule Castle, walking into the distance. King Rhoam sighed and
put a hand on Link's shoulder.
"Link… do not lose sight of her no matter what. I fear she is making a terrible
mistake in relying on this kind of power." King Rhoam said. Link nodded and
jumped off the balcony, rolling on the ground to break his fall. After borrowing
one of the royal horses, he set off for beyond the Hyrule Castle gate, trying to
catch up to the gigantic Zelda as she could clearly be heard murmuring about how
stubborn her father can be sometimes…
With that, the memory came to an end, and Link sighed. He actually wondered if the king's words would've made any difference. Zelda grew quite large, especially during her battle with the malfunctioning Guardians, unaware that it was Calamity Ganon that caused them to 'malfunction.' Either way, reliving the second memory told Link that Zelda had the power to change her size at will, but he still wondered why it was still up to him to save the world. Couldn't Zelda have crushed Calamity Ganon like a bug like she said she would? Many questions continued to linger even as Link dozed off to sleep atop the Sheikah Tower.
Two days later, Link finds himself at the Zora's Domain. He had been tasked with helping to free the Divine Beast Vah Ruta from Calamity Ganon's control. While wondering around the driving rain, gathering clues on where to find the Shock Arrows, he eventually stopped on a ledge where he looked about 70-80 feet away at the tallest waterfall in this part of Hyrule with a gigantic pool of water at the bottom.
That's when he remembered another moment of his past not just involving Zelda, but also the girl that the Zora said Link was once in love with… Mipha. And once again, he was seeing them bigger than they usually were.
Memory 3
At the base of the largest waterfall in Zora's Domain, Mipha and Zelda (back
at her normal size) were sitting by the pool talking with each other. Zelda had
her boots off and her feet dipped in the water.
"So that's the story, Mipha. I suppose your father is overprotective as well."
Zelda said.
"Well, sometimes, but only when I try to leave the safe haven that is this
domain. What I do inside, he doesn't really care." Mipha said.
"I would hope not, especially with all those love letters you keep sending
Link." Zelda said.
"He is reading them, right?" Mipha said with a blush on her face.
"I think so. But anyway, it's a good thing I can freely change my size with this
new power. I wouldn't want to stay big forever." Zelda said.
"Listen, don't worry about what your father says. I believe between your power
to grow and shrink, the Divine Beasts, and the Guardians… we will definitely win
against Calamity Ganon should he ever return." Mipha said.
"I certainly hope so." Zelda said.
"You know, Zelda… I would love to see you grow in action." Mipha said.
"Really? Right now?" Zelda asked.
"Would you please? I've always wanted to see any kind of giantess live and in
person." Mipha said. Zelda smiled.
"I cannot turn down a request from the Champion of the Zoras." Zelda said as she
got up to her feet.
She closed her eyes like she was concentrating and thinking about growing
bigger. But then she opened her eyes back up.
"Huh? What's wrong?" Mipha asked.
"Mipha… would you care to join me?" Zelda asked.
"Huh? Grow with you? Is that even possible?" Mipha asked.
"I honestly don't know, but it's an experiment I'd like to try. I mean, if my
clothes grow with me, surely anyone touching me is affected by my size changing
magic as well." Zelda said.
"Hmmm… a rather scientific thought." Mipha said.
"That's what happens when I hang around Purah for too long." Zelda said,
prompting a giggle from both ladies.
"So… just hold onto you?" Mipha said. Zelda nodded, and Mipha used her free hand
(her other one was holding onto her trident) to wrap around one of Zelda's arms.
That's when the princess took a deep breath and closed her eyes.
She and Mipha began to grow. Bigger and bigger they got. Mipha gasped as she
watched the nearby waterfall shrinking before her eyes. Eventually, both ladies
reached 100 feet tall, almost the same height as the waterfall itself.
"Oh my… we are… huge…" Mipha said. Zelda opened her eyes and smiled.
"Looks like it worked!" Zelda said. Mipha then gave her fellow giantess a quick
hug.
"Princess Zelda, I thank you so much for sharing this power with me." Mipha
said.
"It's my pleasure, Mipha. You don't mind that you've grown with me?" Zelda
asked. Mipha shook her head.
"This is even better, I feel. It will give all Zora hope when they see their
Champion a living and breathing tower. See?" Mipha said as she pointed to a
nearby cliff and saw a few Zora gathering and cheering both her and Zelda on.
"Well then, we better shrink back to normal…" Zelda said.
"Actually, let's stay this way for a little while. I feel the power coarsing
through my fins and I don't want this sensation to end. In fact, why don't we
chill in the pool at our feet? At least it's still big enough to hold both of
us." Mipha said.
"Wh-wh-what? But I didn't bring my swimsuit with me!" Zelda said.
"No problem there. Swimmiswimmigona!" Mipha said as she tapped the bottom of her
trident on the ground.
Zelda watched as her outfit suddenly disappeared in a shower of sparkles. She
was now wearing a two piece bikini, both halves colored purple with the bottom
half being a skirt.
"Oh? What an interesting piece of swimwear. Where did you get this?" Zelda asked
as she touched herself, feeling both her bikini and her newly exposed skin,
especially as she wiggled her toes.
"I've had that thing for a while, just in case we got any lucky human female
visitors who wanted to take a swim." Mipha said.
"I see. Thank you, Mipha." Zelda said.
"Enjoy it while it lasts. Your regular clothes should return in 15-20 minutes."
Mipha said. Zelda nodded and gently dipped her toes into the pool, which was
still decent sized despite the growth spurts for both her and Mipha. Zelda
quickly pulled her toes back.
"Oh! The water's cold!" Zelda said.
"You'll warm up to it. Go on!" Mipha said as she gently nudged Zelda into the
pool, causing the water to rise up to her skirt. Zelda's teeth chattered for the
first few seconds but she finally settled down, especially as Mipha walked into
the pool.
"If you think that's cold, you should try standing under the waterfall." Mipha
said with a wink from one of her eyes. Zelda sighed. It was not going to be a
comfortable request, but one from the Champion of the Zoras nevertheless.
Meanwhile, on a nearby cliff, Mipha and Zelda had a couple very interested
onlookers in the form of Link and Muzu. They watched as Zelda laughed
uncontrollably as she stood underneath the waterfall and felt the water tickling
her backside.
"Well, thank goodness Mipha doesn't appear to be in any danger. Just in an…
enlarged state. I beg your forgiveness, Link. I treated your story as total
fabrication thinking such magic wasn't humanly possible!" Muzu said. Link looked
through his Sheikah Slate at both giantesses in the water. He zoomed the image
in first on Zelda and then on Mipha's giggling face.
"So what will you do now, loveboy? You're like a guppy compared to her royal
highness now!" Muzu said. Link looked briefly back at Muzu before looking at the
two giantesses again. He didn't dare say it out loud, but they both looked
magnificent compared to the large waterfall.
The 100-foot-tall Zelda finally couldn't handle being constantly blasted by
cold water and she stepped away from the waterfall.
"You lasted longer than I thought." Mipha said.
"Thanks, I guess." Zelda said. She gently sat down in the pool, leaving just her
chest upward visible above the water.
"I suppose you want to see how I do it, right?" Mipha said.
"Well… not really, actually. You're a Zora. I imagine you'd be able to handle
ice cold water." Zelda said.
"You're right, but still, I could use a decent shower." Mipha said as she
stepped underneath the waterfall and let the water rain down on her.
Zelda, meanwhile, scooped up some water and brushed it on her arms and her head.
"Mmmmm… the water here feels so fresh. I can see a day in the future where
living beings of all races come here to relax and soothe away their worries."
Zelda said. She then was startled as Mipha suddenly came storming out from
underneath the waterfall.
"Mipha, what's wrong!?" Zelda said as she stood back up and stood alongside her
fellow giantess. Mipha, on the other hand, took a deep breath and…
"MUZUUUUUUUUUU!!!" Mipha screamed.
Over on the cliffside, Link and Muzu fell back as they saw Mipha look in
their direction and scream out.
"Uh oh… we've been spotted! Hurry, boy, we must retreat!" Muzu said as he turned
around and Link started to follow… only for both to suddenly find themselves
trapped in bubbles. The bubbles floated their way towards the giantesses.
"Arrrrrgh… I HATE when she uses this spell!" Muzu said. The two watched
helplessly as their bubbles floated a few feet away from Mipha, and then once
she held a hand out, the bubble burst and the two landed squarely in her palm.
"Muzu, Muzu, Muzu. I'm surprised. I did not take you to be the spying type."
Mipha said.
"Hmph! You know that's not true, young lady! I was merely looking out for your
well being like I ALWAYS do!" Muzu shouted. Zelda leaned her head over Mipha's
shoulder.
"Link! I thought I told you to wait outside the domain! Can't you ever follow my
orders!?" Zelda shouted as she folded her arms under her chest. Link wanted to
retort back saying it was her father who told him to constantly watch over her,
but Muzu spoke out.
"Never mind about Link! I dragged him into this mess! If you're going to punish
anyone, it should strictly be me." Muzu said as he lowered his head.
Mipha stared at the two for a few seconds and then smiled.
"Hmmmm… very well, Muzu. I shall indeed punish you for this misdeed, and it will
require the use of my feet." Mipha said. Zelda lightly gasped as Mipha passed
Link over to her.
"Huh? Mipha? You're not going to crush him, are you?" Zelda asked.
"Of course not, Zelda. Just watch. This won't hurt, Muzu. Well… much anyway."
Mipha said. She walked over to the edge of the pool and sat down on the ground
outside it. Then she lifted both her dripping wet feet out of the pool and
locked her soles together. Then she opened them up and dropped Muzu, closing the
soles and trapping him in between.
"Ack!" Muzu said.
"So, Muzu. How does it feel to be trapped between my soles?" Mipha asked.
"Ouch! Painful!" Muzu said.
"Oh, come on. I'm not pressing them that hard! Is that better?" Mipha asked.
"Errr… somewhat, but this is still a somewhat uncomfortable situation!" Muzu
said.
"Good. I like uncomfortable." Mipha said as she licked her lips together and had
a phony evil face. Zelda was taken aback by Mipha's actions, but could still
feel she was having lots of fun. Zelda finally couldn't resist wanting to try
that with Link.
"Alright, Link. For seeing me in a swimsuit, you shall share the same
punishment." Zelda said. Link tried to object, but already Zelda was spreading
her bare feet apart. She then closed them together like two walls, trapping Link
in between and leaving his head sticking out. Link grunted as Zelda shifted her
feet up and down.
"Teehee… this is kinda fun, Mipha!" Zelda said.
"Haha! Of course it is! Giantesses ALWAYS have fun, right?" Mipha said. Zelda
nodded on how true that statement was.
Zelda didn't want to 'torment' Link any longer and so she opened up her feet
and let him fall into the water. She quickly picked him back up and set him on
top of her feet, wiggling her toes.
"So, Link. Why not give my feet a quick massage?" Zelda said. Link was about to
do just that, getting down on his knees (while his outfit was dripping wet) and
rub his hands on as much skin as he could. However…
"Oh no. Why subject my beloved Link to that ridicule? This is a job for Muzu!"
Mipha said as she opened up her feet and caught Muzu into her hands. She then
placed him on top of Zelda's foot while she reached down and picked up Link.
"Urgh… what kind of servant do you think I am, young lady?" Muzu shouted, only
to get a face full of Mipha's giant face.
"The kind who does what he's told… now get rubbing!!" Mipha said. Muzu didn't
hesitate any further as he got to rubbing the top of Zelda's foot. Zelda didn't
feel Muzu's rubbing, though. She instead watched what Mipha was going to do with
Link now that he was being dangled in front of her face.
"Heeheehee… I guess you're going to have to find a very biiiiiiiiig ring
someday, Link." Mipha said. Link nodded quickly.
"Don't be nervous, young man. I still have feelings for you no matter how big or
small you are." Mipha said. She gently moved Link towards her lips and gave him
the biggest kiss he would ever imagine. He couldn't relax for long, however, as
Mipha next cuddled him against her face. Zelda could only smile.
"I wish I knew true love like you do, Mipha." Zelda said.
"Have patience, Zelda. Perhaps you'll find the right man someday… just as long
as you don't step on him, that is!" Mipha joked, prompting a laugh from both
ladies.
Suddenly, both ladies looked up when they heard another male voice. It
belonged to Revali, the bird creature who was champion of the bird race, Rito.
"Well now, I sure missed quite a big invitation." the voice said.
"Oh, it's Rito!" Zelda said, watching as he flew down and landed atop Zelda's
left shoulder.
"Revali, what are you doing here?" Mipha asked.
"Oh, I was on my way back to Rito Village when I looked down and saw you two
towering over the domain. No offense, but you two stick out like a sore thumb."
Revali said.
"Haha… none taken, Revali. I'm sure you're curious how I grew." Zelda said.
Revali then held up one of his wings.
"It's best that you keep that a secret, Princess Zelda, just in case some
dirty-minded servant of Calamity Ganon is listening." Revali said. Zelda had a
worried look on her face as she thought once again about that raging beast, but
Mipha quickly changed the topic.
"Aren't you at least surprised to see us this large?" Mipha asked.
"Not really. Nothing surprises me anymore ever since I began my training as a
warrior. Heck, I firmly believe one day there will be animals of all types
flying through the skies, protecting us all." Revali said. Both giantesses tried
holding back laughter.
"Hey, I'm serious! Think about it! Foxes, falcons, rabbits, frogs, wolves… if
they can't naturally fly like I can, they'll have graceful machines like the
Guardians to pilot, kinda like I do with Vah Medoh." Revali said. As outrageous
as the story seemed to Mipha, Zelda just smiled and patted Revali on the head.
"I believe you, Revali." Zelda said. Revali straightened out the feathers on his
head after they got ruffled from the touch of Zelda's giant finger.
"Thank you. Now… if you'll excuse me, I really must be getting back to my
village. I pray Teba didn't see you and crash into a canyon. See ya!" Revali
said as he flapped his wings and flew away. Zelda and Mipha couldn't help but
giggle over not just that last remark, but really Revali overall as a Champion,
especially his parting remark.
"And you're one lucky devil, Link!" Revali shouted, causing Link to blush and
the giantesses to finally burst out in laughter.
That's when Link's vision returned to the present day. He could only assume
Zelda and Mipha eventually returned to their original sizes (plus outfit in
Zelda's case) once that day was over. He sighed. It was somewhat killing him
that he couldn't remember more of his time with Mipha. They seemed very close,
and yet he couldn't remember any other times that they spent that much time
together. As he walked away from the waterfall to continue his mission, he could
only hope more memories with Mipha, or perhaps even her voice from the spirit
world, would reach out and touch him mentally.
Of course, Link would succeed in freeing Vah Ruta from Calamity Ganon's control,
earning him thanks from many, including Mipha's spirit (which included a comment
of how she wished she could hug him at a tiny size just one more time) and the
entire Zora population.
Fast forward a few days later. Link finds himself in the Gerudo Wasteland. After scaling some tall rocks, he looked at his Sheikah Slate to get a better view of Gerudo Town, also known as the Forbidden City, noting the many Gerudo who walked around. He then looked over at the vast desert just in front of the town's entrance, where he saw the massive Vah Naboris slowly walking around, leaving large lightning bolts and sandstorms in its wake. Of course, thanks to recent memories as well as having tamed Vah Ruta and Vah Medoh, he was no stranger to incredibly gigantic sentient beings.
But it was scanning a patch of sand away from Vah Naboris that caught his eye. Not only were there gigantic foot-shaped holes in this part of the desert, but there were grooves cut in the sand with six distinct hills popping up. Almost like the abs of a muscular and well fit person. Someone like… Urbosa? Was that the name of that one woman Revali and Mipha spoke so highly of? Just like that, another memory that involved a supersized Zelda started to take shape in Link's vision.
Memory 4
Inside the walls of Gerudo Town, Urbosa and Zelda were walking around as the
other Gerudo went on with their lives.
"You're not trying to yank my chain, are you, little bird? You really can alter
your size just with a mere thought?" Urbosa said.
"I would not lie to you, Urbosa, especially when you're a Champion. I've already
demonstrated the power to Mipha." Zelda said.
"Hmmm… I suppose I will take your word for…" Urbosa said, only to suddenly be
interrupted by a woman screaming in the background. Urbosa and Zelda looked
where the screams came from and watched who was jumping onto the rooftops of
some of the buildings. Zelda gasped while Urbosa growled.
"Yiga." Urbosa said, putting a hand on her scimitar and watching as ten Yiga
Footsoldiers came jumping down from the rooftops and approached the two ladies.
Urbosa, of course, showed no fear as she took a step forward.
"You heartless souls have some nerve to invade our ancient grounds! I will see
to it that you don't walk out of here alive as you fail again to capture the
princess!" Urbosa said.
"Urbosa, wait! Might I suggest another way of dealing with these monsters?"
Zelda said. At first Urbosa didn't know what was going on, but Zelda kept
nodding her head upwards like she was looking up at something. That's when
Urbosa finally remembered Zelda telling her about her new spell. Then she nodded
and took her hand off the sword behind her back.
"Lady Urbosa… do you surrender by not drawing your sword!?" one of the Yiga
Footsoldiers said.
"No. My friend and I simply will employ some new magic to defeat you." Urbosa
said. As she grabbed onto Zelda, the princess went into deep thought, just like
with the previous times where she grew. Then the Yiga backed away as they
watched Zelda and Urbosa grow, and grow, and grow…
Eventually, the two towered over the town, and their adversaries, as they
grew well over 100 feet tall.
"*whistles* You were not kidding about this new power of yours, little bird."
Urbosa said.
"Sooooo… do you like it?" Zelda asked.
"Do I like it? Do I LIKE IT!?" Urbosa said. Zelda worried at first and started
to put a hand to Urbosa and shrink her and herself back to normal, but instead
Urbosa wrapped an arm around the princess and gave her a hug. Thanks to the
height difference between the two (which already existed prior to their growth),
Zelda's head was snuggled against Urbosa's chest.
"I absolutely love it. Everyone, not just Voe and the Yiga, will think twice
about challenging my kind as I stand tall like a tower of power!" Urbosa said.
"Heh heh… I'm glad you see it that way." Zelda said. The two then looked down at
a very nervous group of Yiga Footsoldiers. Urbosa walked towards them.
"Now then, shall I crush you all like the bugs you are?" Urbosa said as she
raised a high heeled shoe up and slammed it down, knocking all the soldiers off
their feet. Urbosa quickly kneeled down and scooped up a few of these
Footsoldiers into her hands.
"Or maybe I should eat you… like the tasty treats you are!" Urbosa said as she,
without a shred of hesitation, opened her mouth wide and dropped the enemies
inside.
At the same time, Zelda cringed a bit, thinking what a horrible way to die, but
it had to be done given the recent surge in attacks by this clan. At the same
time, she looked down by her boots and saw more Yiga Footsoldiers scratching and
clawing with no success at her. Zelda had a mean look on her face.
"Ugh… Urbosa is right, you are like little pests!" Zelda said as she raised the
same boot and slammed it down on the Footsoldiers, crushing them to their
deaths. Zelda sighed, but again, it had to be done. And it got her thinking.
"Sigh… what kind of monster would I be if I used this power for evil?" Zelda
said.
As the remaining couple Yiga Footsoldiers finally got the hint and ran away,
Urbosa walked next to Zelda.
"Are you alright, princess?" Urbosa asked.
"Yes, Urbosa. And you?" Zelda asked.
"Pfffft… not a scratch. That's more than I can say for the Yiga that I
swallowed." Urbosa said as she patted her stomach area. Zelda looked down and
saw all the Gerudo cheering for the giantesses.
"Thank you, thank you. I bet some of you dreamed something like this would
happen." Urbosa said as she took a bow, and Zelda did the same thing.
"We should check on Link, and make sure there weren't any Yiga outside the
town." Zelda said.
"An excellent suggestion." Urbosa said. She and Zelda carefully walked through
the town to make sure nothing innocent got crushed, and then Urbosa smiled as
she raised one of her legs high and stepped over the normally tall wall
surrounding Gerudo Town.
"Just walking over these town walls makes me feel powerful already. In a good
way, of course." Urbosa said as she cleared her other leg. She then reached a
hand out and helped Zelda step over the same wall. She watched as the two Gerudo
guards outside the town entrance scattered away from one of Zelda's boots.
"Oops! Sorry!" Zelda said.
"Ah, don't worry about them. They nearly got trampled by Vah Naboris a little
while back." Urbosa said.
The two giantesses then looked down and saw Link standing still and looking
up at them.
"Ahhhh… there's our little Master Sword wielding hero of the future. Looks more
like a fly in a bowl of Creamy Heart Soup to me." Urbosa said.
"Heh heh… he does look cute from this size, doesn't he?" Zelda said.
"Yeah. So cute, it makes me want to step on him!" Urbosa said as she walked
towards Link and then raised one of her legs up. As Link looked up at the bottom
of her high heels, he backed away nervously until finally diving backwards as
Urbosa slammed her heel down, kicking up a ton of sand and knocking Link off his
feet. As Urbosa laughed briefly, Zelda then tightly grabbed one of her arms.
"Urbosa, please! We could accidentally hurt him." Zelda said.
"Oh, take it easy, little bird. You know I'm just playing around." Urbosa said.
She then got down on one knee and extended a hand towards Link.
"Come on. No hard feelings, right?" Urbosa asked. Link gulped as he climbed onto
the palm of the giantess's hand, holding on as she stood back up and looked down
on him, as did Zelda.
"You know, I guess you're out of a job now that she's big enough to care for
herself." Urbosa said as she playfully poked Link with one of her blue
fingernails.
"Nah, you really should be lucky to be in her company. Why, if you weren't
already in love with Mipha, I'd say you two were meant for each other." Urbosa
said.
"(gasp!) Urbosa! You can't be serious!" Zelda said.
"Hahaha! Always be open, little bird… you never know what the future will
bring!" Urbosa said. Link could only watch as Zelda blushed ever so slightly,
although the thought of him and her being together did sound interesting.
Before anybody could dwell further on the topic, however, there was a fierce
clap of thunder as a bolt of lightning flashed down from the sky about 30 feet
away from where Zelda and Urbosa were standing. It took everyone by surprise, of
course. Most notably Zelda, who tucked herself against Urbosa as much as she
could.
"Oooooookay… that was definitely out of character for Vah Naboris." Urbosa said.
"Out of character or not… I still shake every time a lightning bolt strikes down
here." Zelda said. She was suddenly handed the tiny Link by Urbosa.
"Wait here. I'm going to check on the Divine Beast." Urbosa said as she walked
away from her fellow giantess, though Zelda couldn't help but tag along. As the
sandstorms swirled around the legs of the giantesses, Urbosa put a hand on top
of Vah Naboris's head, which of course was an easy task given she and Zelda were
almost as tall as the Divine Beast itself.
"Hmmm… Vah Naboris seems like its perfectly normal self. Maybe it had to sneeze
or something, hahaha!" Urbosa said, making another joke even though they both
knew machines don't 'sneeze.' Zelda had a worried look on her face.
"I hope this isn't another sign of Calamity Ganon's imminent return…" Zelda
said. Urbosa walked up to Zelda (allowing Vah Naboris to walk away) and patted
her on the shoulder.
"Little bird, one of these days you are going to learn to relax and not be so
tense." Urbosa said.
"I know, Urbosa. It's just in my blood to worry so much." Zelda said.
"I tell you what, why don't we have some fun? We're all the perfect size to do
just that. Aren't we, Link?" Urbosa said as she leaned in and winked at the tiny
Link, who exhaled nervously wondering what the giantesses had in mind.
Then Urbosa took a couple steps back and laid flat on her stomach on the
sandy ground for a few seconds before getting back up. She pointed down at the
prints made in the sand, the same ones that would trigger a memory for Link 100
years later.
"You've heard of footprints, right? These may be the first ab prints of all
time." Urbosa said. Zelda couldn't help but laugh when she saw these ab prints.
"Hahaha! Well, you are quite strong, Urbosa." Zelda said, prompting Urbosa to
flex one of her slightly muscular arms.
"Imagine how many rocks I could lift with these babies, especially those on
Death Mountain! And speaking of abs…" Urbosa said as she gently plucked Link
from Zelda's hands. Link held on for the ride as Urbosa this time laid flat on
her back in another part of the sand, and then she dropped him right in the
middle of her abs.
"Alright, little hero, let's see how well you can avoid my giant fingers of
doom!" Urbosa said as she casually swept her fingers across her abs, with Link
jumping out of the way to avoid them. He jumped some more as the giantess's
other hand swept across, and Link soon found himself running across Urbosa's
body, dodging finger after finger. Urbosa even made two fingers 'walk' towards
Link as they tried to 'step' on him.
The fun and games continued until Link made it all the way to Urbosa's neck.
That's when the giantess quickly reached down and grabbed Link. She stood back
up and placed him on one of her arms as she flexed it again.
"Good job, little hero. Very agile, I must say. And very balanced too." Urbosa
said as she bobbed her slightly muscular arm up and down, with Link trying to
hang on.
"Urbosa… careful!" Zelda said as she held her hands against her mouth, hoping
Link wouldn't fall.
"Oh, relax. He's a smart, brave hero. He'll find a way to survive." Urbosa said.
That's when she tilted her arm suddenly, causing Link to lose his balance and
fall towards the ground. Although Urbosa stood ready to catch the hero, she
watched hoping he would do what she was thinking. Link watched Urbosa rise
higher and higher as he fell closer to the sand, but his saving grace was
quickly approaching and he reached out and grabbed it.
As Zelda took a deep breath, Link was now hanging onto the blue Champion's cloth
under Urbosa's waist.
"Hahaha! See? I told you he was smart and brave!" Urbosa said. She held a hand
underneath Link, allowing him to drop onto her palm. He held on as Urbosa moved
her hand up and he got a face full of her giant face.
"You did good, young man. Let that bravery serve you well as you protect
Princess Zelda… provided she doesn't do anything bad to you!" Urbosa said.
She then handed Link over to the giant Zelda.
"Go ahead, little bird. It's your turn to have some fun with him." Urbosa said.
"Um… well… okay… but you don't mind if it's a bit gentler than what you did?"
Zelda said.
" You do whatever you see fit." Urbosa said with a smile on her face. That's
when it was Zelda's turn to lay flat on her back in the sand, and she placed
Link on the upper portion of her left leg.
"Alright, Link. I command you to run up to my neck like you did on Urbosa! And…
and I mean now!" Zelda said as she tried to act tough, which made Urbosa laugh
with delight. She watched as Link got to running, often having to slow down and
take breaths to recharge his stamina. Urbosa was getting a little annoyed that
Link was still on Zelda's leg even after a couple minutes of running.
"Somebody needs some BIG motivation." Urbosa said as she pulled out her scimitar
and pushed Link with its edge. Link eventually made it to her stomach region,
and then her chest. Zelda giggled a bit.
"What's so funny, little bird?" Urbosa said.
"I'm kinda ticklish there… I feel the pitter patters of Link's boots." Zelda
said.
"Ticklish, eh?" Urbosa asked. That's when, after watching Link climb atop
Zelda's breasts and then sliding down the other side, she put her hands on one
of Zelda's sides.
"Choochie choochie coo!" Urbosa said as she continued to work her hands while
Zelda kicked around.
"Hahaha! HAHAHAHA!!! Urbosa, STOP!!!" Zelda shouted while Link held on for dear
life onto as much of Zelda's outfit as he could.
A few seconds pass, and Urbosa finally did stop, watching as her fellow
giantess caught her breath. Urbosa, meanwhile, picked up Link and held him in
one hand while helping Zelda up with the other.
"Heh… for being so huge, you have to admit we both feel like little kids again."
Urbosa said.
"Yes… I guess we do." Zelda said. She then huddled up against Urbosa, with Link
now watching from her shoulder as the two giantesses hugged each other.
"Urbosa. Thank you… you're like the big sister I wish I had." Zelda said. Urbosa
hugged back and patted Zelda on the shoulder.
"My pleasure, little bird." Urbosa said.
Link's vision then faded back to reality, signaling the end of his latest memory. Despite the many questions that still lingered over that time when Zelda and Urbosa grew gigantic, he put them aside for now as he focused on the next task at hand, which was figuring out a way to get inside Gerudo Town.
More days pass, and Link is almost at the end of his grand mission. All four
Divine Beasts were cured of Calamity Ganon's contamination, and he also managed
to reclaim the Master Sword. Still, one big question lingered in his mind
throughout this whole time, no pun intended, as he made his way (atop his horse)
towards Hyrule Castle. If Zelda had the power to grow, especially big enough to
maybe crush Calamity Ganon with a squeeze of her hand… why was he still flying
and roaring around Hyrule Castle? Why was much of Hyrule ruined with many
civilizations left to pick up the pieces and rebuild? How come Zelda was trapped
within Hyrule Castle? The questions mounted, until…
"nk… ink… Link!" Zelda's voice echoed in Link's mind. Link made his horse stop
as he looked out over a hill at Hyrule Castle, shrouded in the darkness that
belonged to Calamity Ganon.
"Remember, Link… Remember my mistake that nearly cost you your life and this
entire kingdom's existance." Zelda said. Link stared longingly at the grounds of
Hyrule Castle, and then he looked at the eastern most wall. There appeared to be
a very long golden rope dangling atop the wall.
But when he focused his eyes on the rope, he realized it wasn't a rope at all. It was a strand of hair. A strand of Zelda's hair. Link gasped as one final memory relating to Zelda as a giantess took over his vision…
Memory 5
Despite the ground shaking beneath her feet, even being almost 300 feet tall,
and many clouds of darkness and pink lightning that surrounded Hyrule Castle,
the giant Zelda approached Hyrule Castle. She was dressed differently from her
previous visits with the Champions, dressed in an all white gown and wearing
strapped sandals (that went past her ankles) on her feet. And speaking of the
Champions, they were all perched on Zelda's shoulders, along with Link. They all
shared their concerns one last time with Zelda's plan.
"Princess… are you really sure you want to take that beast head on by yourself?"
Daruk asked.
"I'm asking for the last time, little bird. You can still make us as big as you.
Together we can crush that beast with ease!" Urbosa said.
"No… we have no idea what Calamity Ganon is capable of. If I were to fail… you
four must helm the Divine Beasts and attack next!" Zelda said.
"We understand, Princess. Be careful!" Revali shouted before he flew away. The
rest of the Champions, meanwhile, started to teleport away, no doubt to board
the Divine Beasts. As Mipha faded out, she reached out towards Link.
"Link, be careful! Protect Zelda no matter…" Mipha said before she vanished.
Before Link could say anything, he felt himself being grabbed by Zelda, who
gently placed him down on the ground.
"You stay down here, Link. Don't worry, the Guardians should provide adequate
aerial support." Zelda said. Link watched as the giantess turned around and
stood a few feet away from the front walls of Hyrule Castle, surrounded by the
darkness of the demonic beast.
"Ganon! Come out and face me! I am not afraid of you!" Zelda shouted. After
several cracks of thunder and lightning, a shadow swirled around Zelda. She
twirled around, wondering what the shadow had in mind. What was lost on the
giantess was that small pieces of the shadow were breaking loose and flying into
the Guardians, and that they were being possessed by Ganon and put under his
control.
And that wasn't the only thing Ganon was interested in taking control of.
Zelda tried to stay strong, but Calamity Ganon could sense the fear in the
giantess. It was all he needed.
"DO I SMELL… FEAR!?" a shadowy voice roared, no doubt belonging to Ganon. The
shadow drew closer and closer.
"What… no…!" Zelda said.
"THINGS IN THE LIGHT… ARE NOT THE SAME IN THE DARK…" the voice said. It then
flew right into Zelda's chest.
"Ahhhhh!!!" Zelda shouted as she clutched her chest.
Down on ground level, Link knew Zelda was in big trouble. He drew out his Master
Sword, but suddenly had to dance out of the way as the Guardians shot their
lasers down towards him. They've turned against us, he thought. In between
avoiding or deflecting laser blasts, Link watched helplessly as Zelda continued
to scream in agony.
"BASK IN THE TWILIGHT…" the voice said.
"NOOOOOOO!!!" Zelda screamed.
Then the wave of darkness disappeared having fully flown into Zelda's chest.
Zelda breathed heavily and clutched her chest for a few seconds. Then, finally,
she opened her eyes, and when she did… she gritted her teeth and had the meanest
look in her eyes.
"Must… destroy… ALL!!!" Zelda said. She promptly raised one of her sandaled feet
and slammed it down on the wall. The people inside these walls were running and
screaming at their peak now. The shadowy monster invading was bad enough, and
now the giant princess was attacking the castle town she swore to protect.
Zelda showed no mercy. She stepped on whatever was underneath her sandals
without hesitation. And to make matters worse, Zelda was actually getting even
bigger. She was approaching 500 feet tall, and so each step took a vast amount
of real estate. Almost every building got crushed in a single stomp, and often
more than one house would be demolished underneath one of Zelda's sandals. But
Zelda didn't just let her feet do the talking. She reached down and scooped up
dozens of innocent civilians into her hands.
"The might of Calamity Ganon will consume you." Zelda said as she opened her
mouth wide and dumped all the people inside. Some got stuck on her
saliva-drenched tongue, but eventually they joined the others in sliding down
her throat and into her stomach.
Even though Zelda was the biggest he had ever seen her at, Link clutched his
fists and put on a brave face. But it was hard not to be intimidated seeing toes
bigger than his whole body in front of him. Link ran towards the sandals and
climbed atop them, soon finding himself between two of her massive toes. A
variety of smells tried to overcome him, mostly those of death, destruction, and
toejam as smoke from destroyed houses fused with the cloudy darkness that
surrounded Hyrule Castle itself. Link climbed atop Zelda's left foot. In the
meantime, just as Zelda kneeled down to get a closer look at the destruction she
was causing, it allowed her dress to touch the ground, which Link latched onto.
He held on tight as Zelda stood back up and resumed crushing house after house
with her sandals. Link then began climbing Zelda's dress, using every last bit
of stamina he possessed, but it was still a long ways up, and his heroic act was
not going unnoticed.
Link cursed at himself as he watched a Guardian target its laser down at him,
and to make matters worse, this caught Zelda's attention as she looked down her
dress.
"Puny insect!" Zelda said as she swatted her hand down towards Link. Although
not a direct hit, it was enough to send him flying off the dress. He screamed as
he watched the ground get closer and closer… only to suddenly land on something
soft. It was colored tan… almost like human skin. That's when Link gulped
nervously… he was standing on the palm of Zelda's hand, and he turned around to
see nothing but Zelda's enlarged and enraged face.
"Your princess has failed you, hero. She underestimated my power, as did you!"
Zelda said. Link knew those were not her words. It was her voice… but the words
belonged to Calamity Ganon. He then pulled out his bow and fired a series of
different arrows. Some ordinary, some elemental (like fire and ice), and some
explosive. The only thing he accomplished was making one lone strand of hair
come loose from her head, watching as it crashed down on the east side of the
castle town, causing destruction underneath where it landed. Every other attack
had no effect on the mega giantess, who leaned one of her green eyes as close as
humanly possible to the hero.
"Now I will crush you like the mosquito you are!" Zelda said as she raised one
hand up in the air. Link sprinted off Zelda's hand right before she slammed it
down, and with his ears ringing from the thunderous clap, he slid down Zelda's
arm.
As rain started to pour from the sky, like the goddesses were crying over the
vicious evil controlling the land they created, Link anxiously awaited the next
attack from Zelda. Instead, she looked out in the distance. First at Death
Mountain, then up at the sky, then towards the desert, and then towards Zora's
Domain.
"Divine Beasts! Join the Guardians in serving your new purpose!" Zelda said as
she spread her arms out. As Link took the opportunity to jump towards Zelda's
dress, hanging on at chest level, waves of dark energy suddenly shot out of
Zelda's body and towards the aforementioned locations. The Divine Beasts had no
chance. They immediately lost all free will and took commands from Calamity
Ganon from now on. They laid to waste the areas they swore to protect and, more
importantly, trapped the Champions piloting them from within… rendering them
nothing more than helpless spirits condemned to watch Hyrule get destroyed by
the very machines they thought would defeat Calamity Ganon for the next 100
years.
This was getting too much for Link. It hurt him not only seeing Zelda be at
the forefront of Calamity Ganon's assault on Hyrule, but he was using what
little stamina he had left of his body to hold onto Zelda's dress. In one of the
rare moments he has ever spoken, Link looked up at Zelda's gigantic face.
"ZELDAAAAAA!!" Link screamed. Zelda's eyes opened wide.
"L-Link?" Zelda said as she looked down. At the same exact moment, a Guardian
shot Zelda in the chest. The laser hit Link dead on, and he let out a very
audible cry of pain, with his body covered in a few burning flames, as he lost
his grip on the giantess and fell.
"Link, NO!" Zelda shouted as suddenly her body became encased in a brilliant
light.
When the light died out, Zelda was no longer towering over Hyrule Castle. In
fact, she was over a couple hundred yards away from the drawbridge, back to her
normal size with Link standing next to her but breathing heavily and looking as
battle worn as the Master Sword itself. The princess turned around… Hyrule
Castle was in ruins. The sky was colored with the darkness from Calamity Ganon.
And that's when everything hit her at once. Although she was no longer under
Calamity Ganon's control…
"How? The Divine Beasts… the Guardians… my power to grow big… it's all turned
against us. Calamity Ganon turned them all against us! Everyone… Mipha, Urbosa,
Revali, Daruk… my father… they're all gone." Zelda said. With rain continuing to
pour down over them, Zelda let loose with the crying as she buried her face into
her hands.
"It's all my fault! I didn't properly utilize the power given to me by the
goddesses, and now…" Zelda said. She tried thinking about growing big, and
nothing happened. She thought again and again… even going as far as growing
bigger than the entire planet and crushing it with her hands if that's what it
took to get rid of Calamity Ganon.
Nothing. It only made her cry harder.
"Everything I've done until now… was all for nothing! My father was right!! I
REALLY AM JUST A FAILURE!!!" Zelda screamed. She buried her head in Link's chest
and the two hugged for what felt like forever.
"I left them all… to die…" Zelda softly muttered.
Link would go on to have one more memory where the Guardians struck once
again and almost delivered the finishing blows, only of course for Zelda to
intervene. That's when he would reawaken in the Shrine of Resurrection without
any of his memories (until he remembered them all, including the five you just
read about). He could hear Zelda's words echoing until he finally passed out, no
doubt thanks to the Master Sword giving him a sliver of life to grasp onto for
the next 100 years.
"This mess was of my doing. I vow to clean it up, even if it means trapping
myself within the Hyrule Castle with that vile beast." Zelda's words echoed in
Link's mind.
He couldn't help but crack a smile next. What an unbelievably brave woman Princess Zelda was… no… is. Being able to harness that power to change her size and trying her best to use it for good, even if Calamity Ganon did take advantage of it in the end. Link felt he was lucky that Hyrule made it as long as it did since Calamity Ganon took over.
But now it was time for the final battle. With the Divine Beasts figuratively behind his back once again and the knowledge, wisdom, power gained from his journey since leaving the Shrine of Resurrection, Link commanded his horse to ride towards Hyrule Castle. As he took a look back at the Master Sword he recently reacquired, he thought once more about Zelda. She may not be able to grow and treat him like an action figure anymore, but he was determined to save her and bring Hyrule at long last to peace.
